Best Chinese food in long Eaton.

Menu so outdated even thought they keep updating it to the same one over charge then the menus without saying anything food is microwaved avoid this Chinese at all costs

Always been really happy with the takeaways from here. Friday we phoned and made our order went to collect confirmed what we had ordered upon collection as it seems they had forgot ? Got home one of the meals was not what we had ordered! Chicken was dry tasted old and even the prawn crackers were bad! Dissapointing.

Massive drop in standards. Was once great. Only takes cash now - which is always very suspect. Ordered Cantonese style chicken and got chicken balls in batter, but forcefully squashed down and cut up to make them look like cantonese style. Chicken was dry. Chicken mushroom was average with dry, hard chips. If we had a dog, I wouldn't have given them to it.

Staying at a hotel in just across the road from here so thought it was worth a try. The shop front is a bit grotty, but the girl who took the order was polite and the food came quickly. I had the salt and pepper squid, crispy chilli beef with extra chillies, and egg fried rice. The portions are massive, which for me is normally a sign it's all about quantity not quality. The squid was pretty good, well cooked and a fair amount of garlic and chilli. The chilli beef was a bit too sweet for me and swimming in sauce, I usually like mine a bit drier and crispier. Very mild too so I think they forgot the extra chilli. Rice was fine, standard run of the mill Chinese takeaway egg fried rice. I've had better, I've had a lot worse. But if you're after an affordable Chinese to fill your stomach, then this will probably do.

Food great always hot and plentiful.

China Garden was recommended to me by a friend. We ordered last night and first try and food was amazing, it came 10 minutes early. Ordering was easy, they accept cash and the lady on the phone were cheerful friendly and polite, she told prices and delivery times. We will return to try some other dishes, well recommend!

This is my favourite Chinese takeaway. I don't know what's happened but the food has changed in the last couple of weeks ,not for the better.The size of the meal has been cut down and it doesn't taste as nice. Will be finding another takeaway. Very disappointed.

This is a takeaway rather than a restaurant, which I've gone to from time to time. In my view, the food is tastier and better prepared than other local Chinese takeaways. The portions are generous too. On the downside, it's cash only, but I can work around that. China Garden will continue to be my go-to for Chinese food in Long Eaton.

Unfortunately, it happens here that you don't get what you ordered and paid for. The person over the counter did not admit or apologize trying to persuade she charged me for what I got. No, you did not, sorry. I would avoid this place in the future.

I've never had a bad meal from here, everything is always fresh, generously portioned, high quality and well priced. My favourite dish is the Shanghai style crispy pork and the ribs are fantastic (loads of meat on them compared to most other Chinese takeways). I collect my food from the restaurant.

Very nice takeaway food with friendly staff. I tried all the takeaways in Long Eaton and this is by far the best.

The food is always tasty and hot, the lady in the shop is so polite and helpful. Driver is always before time and always smiling. Great takeaway!

I’ve had 3 meals delivered since they apparently had a refurb? It’s not been the same since. Smaller portions, tasteless curry sauce. ( you may as well make your own) and very old chips. The delivery was quick but obviously not getting fresh food! Won’t be going back!

Bad experience, took my order incorrectly. Tried to make out it was my fault. I saw the lady laughing behind the counter when I turned my back in the reflection with a customer. In my opinion there was a race issue as it looks like I wasn't welcome there from the moment I stepped into the shop. Then after waiting for my order to be redone l, she gives my incorrect order away to the customer she's been laughing with free of charge but refuses to give me a complimentary bag of prawn crackers for my inconvenience. Rasict on my opinion. Stay well away. And the food was really salty 🧂

The meal was so salty it was inedible I had to throw it away, I don’t know who would even be able to eat it with that much salt in the meals. I think your chefs need to try the meals before they are sent out, if they tried them I’m sure they would feel the same ! Not good

Highly recomend the bbq sauce from here get it everyday from here good combos withit (chicken and pork balls, and crispy fried chicken or beef in sweet chilli sauce if its beef ask for sauce separate so can dip, if u dont want that wverything from this shop is ten ten so sont hestiate to buy from here if u want decent food go here better then all chinese ive been to triple honey roast is on point to everytbing from here is

Prompt service and very good value

I ordered my food and it came very slow. They got my order wrong. Very dry rice. Beef is very very chewy. Very disappointed. Please avoid this shop.

Had many meals from here, never had a bad one yet, curry dishes you have to ask for a large container but other than that, no real issues, great char Sui pork to 👍🏼

Service was terrible! Ordered at 7.20 and turned up 855 incomplete order after I rang to see where our order was. Chips were old and reheated. Told me chips were freshly cooked 'darling' when I rang to complain. No apologies or offers to recompense so I asked for refund. Shame as that could have been turned around with a meaningful apology and a partial refund

I live long eaton first ever review but lived college street had this food last five years . Without naming others this is the best Chinese round here the portions on my chop suey were like triple from others the food is the best

We were very excited to try this restaurant, especially since Google says that they have 4.5/5 stars from 101 reviews. How can people be so wrong? We got sweet and sour chicken, orange chicken, Kung pao chicken, 2 veggie chow mein, chicken and sweet corn soup and hot and sour soup. The chicken in all the entrees was simultaneously slimy, rubbery and disintegrated in your mouth as soon as it entered. It was horrible. We joked as we were eating it that it must’ve been cat or fox meat because it was so strange. The only good things about the food were the soups, the sauces and the prepackaged fortune cookies. £40.77 down the toilet……..literally because we all have the runs now😩🤢👎🏼

Read reviews and ordered on those good reviews....not sure what people of long Eatons taste buds are like but I found the food bland tasteless and was totally disappointing experience.....👍

The worst takeaway I’ve ever had! The sweet & sour chicken balls were burnt & meat was hard. They were definitely from previous day and deep fried again. Chow mein was just inedible. I’d heard good things about this place... I have no idea why. It was awful and not cheap. It all went in the bin 😔

For me, this is the best chinese takeaway in long eaton. They'll always tweak menu items to suit, the ribs are great, their duck is usually meaty rather than skin and they are always pretty punctual if you phone one through..

We all fancied a Chinese takeaway tonight 03/09/2018 so we called to China Garden on canal st long eaton. We only waited approx 10-15 mins and when we got home , a few minutes away, we found all our food to be lovely and hot and tasty! I would recommend China Garden definitely!

The food is exactly what would be expected from a good local takeaway for the last 40 years. Competent but unimaginative. There is a lack of vegetarian or vegan options on the standard menu. The food is well cooked and well seasoned; China Garden avoid the overly salty MSG hit so what you get is delicious.

Had a fantastic take away last night. Will definitely be a returning customer. Thank you for great food

Always my first choice when craving a Chinese and can't be bothered to go out to a restaurant. Been going here for years and they always get orders right and the food is deliciously prepared.
