Very good food and would recommend big portions

Omg!!! Ordered a takeaway and was absolutely blown away by the portion size and also how incredibly tasty all components of my curry was! Super impressed. Been on the look out for the best Indian food around here and have to say, think I’ve found it. Looking forward to my next curry now!

We travel from Bramcote for this takeaway. The food is always great and they have dishes not available in other Indians. Would definitely recommend.

Ordered on Uber eats last night, tiny portions, watered down, thin curry’s with barely any meat. Even the sauce looked like it had been watered down as milk had separated. Not a lot of takeaways go on the “do not order from” list but this is definitely going to be one of them. Not often you order a takeaway and still raid the cupboards afterwards.

Took 2 hours to deliver and portions are so small!

Ordered from here using Just Eat yesterday. This is my new favourite place to order from. The food arrived in 40 mins, was hot and very tasty. The chicken had lots of flavour and wasn't dry at all. I probably won't order curry from anywhere else now. Happy to have found this place.

Lived in Sawley for years and sad to admit I've never used Saaga until this week. Sunday to be exact. WOW what a mistake I've been making. This place is on my doorstep. The service was excellent (collected my order). The food was as good and tasty as any other Indian we've had and who ever it was who served me was excellent. My order came to £30:95 I had 4 x £10 notes on me so rather than take their change I offered to go out to the car and get a £1 coin at which point the person serving me said no just give me £30. That gesture on top of everything else has won my vote for Indian takeaway from now on. Thank you and we look forward to many more meals from you. Joe

Great food I always like something a little different with some proper spice I’ve just had balti saag . I love saag but the balti saag uses a thicker sauce with lots of green pepper , chopped onion and sliced garlic I had king prawn and paneer mix Lots of green chilli for the heat (only if you ask for this ) rather than the normal curry house spice it up with chilli powder Also had a Tarka dall . Nice too

It was OK, not as good as I had hoped for, the sauce still needed to be mixed/stirred to get it to the consistency it should of been.

We are so fortunate to have this place in our town, just a few minutes drive away from home. Food is delicious, high quality. Definitely would scrap restaurants as they rip people off. Saagar I would highly recommend!

Update Saturday 8th May 2021. Well tonight was a bit of a disappointment, food was stale and meat was overcooked/microwaved. Everything was flavourless and definitely not up to standard. First time ordering on a Saturday so probably won't again! Update, have ordered from Saagar 4 times since my original review and still the same great quality and taste with very courteous and friendly , super fast delivery. They make the best Jalfrezi and Tikka in Nottingham, the meat is always so tender and such an amazing blend of flavours and spices. 👊 First time ordered via Just Eat. Wow! Got curry from there ordered rice but rice didn't come wive meal so 20 mins latter rice did turn up and meal wos cold not nice

Nasty, even the curry in a UK army ration pack is better than this slop! All the 5 star reviews are either fake or from people who don't know what a real curry is!

Lovely Indian and really speedy service

Make sure you check the amount is correct before paying and more importantly that the order is complete before leaving as they are inconsistent when it comes to this, otherwise you’ll have a nagging wife telling you to drive back! Food is lovely though can’t fault that.

Delicious, arrived early. Great selection of dishes, very rarely disappointed. Only ever disappointed if there is too much Ghee floating around, but this is easy sorted by soaking up with a piece of kitchen roll, so really no big deal, and as I said a very rare occurrence.

No es mi comida para llevar india habitual, pero decidí intentarlo debido a las limitadas opciones en este momento. Mi pollo tikka Karahi carecía de sabor y estaba nadando en aceite. . . la foto no le hace justicia porque ya había servido 1/2 litro de aceite de la superficie antes de ponerlo en el plato. Sin embargo, los poppadoms y el arroz estaban bien. . . tal vez sea porque estaban ocupados? Aunque no hay excusa. Tengo la sensación de que podría haber pedido 10 platos diferentes esta noche y todos tendrían el mismo aspecto y sabor.

Very average. Delivery took two hours. Food nothing special. Very watery Korma and Dansak sauce. Naan bread and rice OK.

Unfortunately the food was late, luke warm and extremely greasy. Cold naan and tough, cold bhaji. Disappointed. Inedible and threw it away

We ordered a takeaway from here when staying at Jury’s Inn and was very impressed. We got loads of food for very good price. Personal favourites were the poppodums, lamb Bhuna and the saag paneer.

We've used this takeaway for years, but so disappointed this time round. Food is lovely but beware of 'rogue delivery drivers', they seem to be cash happy and unknowingly to my friend who answered our door to receive and pay for three meals with two rice and two naan, whilst we were settling the kids he sneakily added an extra 7.00 to the bill, despite the fact we'd confirmed when making the order and left the cash by the door, she added the extra innocently thinking there was miscalculation. As it is now the christmas weekend we can't get an answer on the phone to complain 🤬.

Bueno, qué maravillosa comida para llevar yo y mi familia acabamos de recibir. ¡Estaba muy caliente con todos los sabores correctos en cada plato! ¡Soy alérgico a las nueces y a la vegetariana, me hicieron el paneer Dupiaza más hermoso del que no dudé en comerme cada bocado! El arroz con huevo pilau era tan sabroso con un sabor increíble. Mi novio es un amante de los vindaloo y muy quisquilloso cuando se trata de tenerlos y disfrutarlos, le encantó. Pedimos una comida para llevar desde aquí en Just Eat. Estaba listo a tiempo, muy caliente, bien embalado, y una porción muy generosa, y también una porción extra de arroz. No estoy seguro si esto fue un accidente o una política, pero tenía un rogan josh y un korma, y ambos eran generosos, bien cocinados y auténticos en sabor.

This is a hidden gem. Best takeaway in the area. Food is always fantastic. I went in to tonight and received excellent customer service too.

I have been to Sagaar a few times over the past 3 years or so and never had a bad dish. Really nice curries, naan breads, rice etc and reasonably priced. May have to visit more often.

I would recommend people going to saagar takeaway. Very tasty food to be honest!

I has been several years since I last used Saagar. I am not sure why as the meal I had last night was excellent ! One of the best Madras I have eaten in a long time. I also appreciated the extra Poppadoms and Mint Raita. Thank you 👍🍽😀
