Really nice small restaurant, food very tasty, good portions. Service was good very friendly. Will definitely Go again. In my top 3 best India restaurants, go visit and enjoy. Almost forgot it's bring your own booze, luckily Tesco 10 meters away. One last thing cash only don't worry ATM next to Tesco. Think that about covers it.

Order for my daughter was supposed to be delivered at 7.25. I ended up collecting at 8.50 and they only cooked whilst I was there(so it wasn't even on their to do list) and I had to take it to her a 10 mile round trip.not answering their phone.

Ordered food over 2.5hrs with a 50 min delivery time. Rang back after waiting an hour and was told be another 20 mins. Still no sign, phone line either engaged or they just don't pick up. 1st time customers and won't be bothering again!

Had both takeaway and a meal in the small restaurant. Has always been good quality and the takeaways have been delivered quickly. Nice to have this restaurant/takeaway so local.

Just had a takeaway from here and it's by far the nicest we've had in a long time. We usually try a different Indian restaurant/takeaway every few weeks

Had a delivery tonight food was cold, nan was burnt and hard, rahita was full of murky water on top, haven't ordered from ere in a while won't be ordering again.

Really nice food here, and very good service. Very small inside and would probably feel closed in if it was busy. Had the rogan josh and it was amazing. The onion bahjis were some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Service was amazing, asking if we were ready for the next course rather than bring it out when they thought it was right. The delivery has some bad reviews, but eating in…..second to none.

Pre ordered at around 4.30 for a 6:15 delivery called them twice to chase order and was told "he's left". It finally arrived at approx 7:30 everything was cold and there was 3 decent pieces of chicken in it..... won't be ordering again but i doubt they will care.

Super friendly staff served with a smile. Food is top quality and piping hot.

We ordered from Raheem this evening and was told 45 minutes for delivery. The food arrived after 1hour and 20 minutes and was stone cold. We called for a refund and a refund was refused. The order was also incorrect. Would not recommend and will not be ordering from this restaurant again.

👎 disappointed, I've had better ready meals! I used to be a regular here, but not anymore. Our food arrived 30 mins later than the hour quoted and arrived cold. Upon requesting a refund on this sham of a meal, we were assured we would be corrected on our next order.. I won't be ordering from them again. Shame.

Live 5 minutes from this place, yet it took 2 and a half hour's to arrive. Received a notification on the 1 hour mark to say it was on it's way, clearly this was not the case. Food arrived and the order was wrong, had to be warmed in the microwave too. Delivery bloke said sorry it'd been delivered to the wrong address. Joke. Avoid at all costs.

Never again will I be ordering from here again, it took alot longer to arrive than stated, it wasn't warm, we had a curry and 2 orders of chips missing upon calling them they argued that we hadn't ordered chips and despite us saying we had the receipt in front of us he said that we had to prove it to the driver when he brought the missing curry which was supposed to be on its way ( it took a good 35 minutes to arrive) so we all ate apart from my partner who had to eat alone and all his other food had gone cold. Disgusting customer service, poor quality food!!! So angry 😠

Ordered food 2 hours and 30 minutes ago and still waiting. Apparently left the restaurant 1 hour ago and I live 5 minutes away. Now just engaged! Edit - turned up at the restaurant and food was there about to leave. Not good after being told it had already left an hour ago. Received 1/3 off the bill and free bombay potatoes. Food was warm, not hot. Tasty, but naans were rock hard. To be honest we would of found a scabby dog tasty by that point! Won't be ordering again.

Avoid this place at all costs! First time trying and most certainly the last. Food was disgusting we couldn’t even eat it! A layer of grease on the curry and the food was just inedible. Spent the majority of my night trying to get it sent back, I rang first and they acted like they couldn’t understand me, my partner called and eventually spoke to the manager. Said they collect and they never turned up. Now still trying to resolve and complain with just eat. Avoid this place! It’s disgusting!

Literally the worst Indian takeaway I have ever had the displeasure of receiving food from . An hour and a half to deliver and then to receive what I can only say tasted like sh!t an absolute joke of a place and should be shut down or inspected by trading standards . This place belongs on Ramseys Kitchen Nightmares . I cannot emphasize just enough how tasteless and disappointing our order was . We chucked everything in the bin and fetched another takeaway from Anoki in derby ( a proper Indian restaurant and I drove from West Hallam to Anoki and back again with my order in less time it took for Raheems to deliver ) so do yourselves a favour and look elsewhere if you are wanting a quality meal as you won't be getting it from Raheems . The staff and management are absolutely clueless and came out with every excuse known to man . I await my refund but I will be getting it I'll make sure of that ...... AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!!!!!!

Delivered 20 mins late. Food was barely warm and friend didn't want to eat her prawn tandoori as it was nearly cold.. Onion bhaji was ok as was Chicken jalfrezi. Dips and Lamb in my balti not great quality. Hadn't used the takeaway before and sadly won't use it again.

Had dinner in the restaurant last night. Staff were great. Really good fun. Had full use of the fridge with our own drinks and could just help ourselves. Enjoyed the food although I wish I had ordered more. Can’t fault the price. With go again.

It was late and messed up the order. they offered to give us what they messed up last time on our next order and all they did was get it wrong again. Food was alright but I've had way better elsewhere.

Had a meal delivered. We have had the same meal many times before. This one was noticeable for the small portions and less flavour. Maybe the chef has left and been replaced??

DO NOT USE!!ordered at 6pm told it would be delivered at 715pm after being lied to by the restaurant 4 times saying it’s on its way. 840pm there’s a knock on the door no one there but a bag of food with the wrong order. I will never use or recommend these

Had a selection of takeaway curries. Every one of them was bland, watery and extremely tight portion sizes. Tubs were half full with 4 pieces of meat per curry. No real taste and 2 of the same curries were a totally different colour to each other.

Took my brother and sister in lw for the first time last night. They said it was one of the best currys they have ever had. This place is just a fantastic place and the food is just gorgeous.

Tried a couple of times as wanted to give it the benefit of doubt after the first visit. The staff treat you like an irritation when you ask for anything, but couldn't be nicer when handing you the bill. He either realised he had been ignorant or wanted a tip - suspect the latter! Had to wait ages for them to come over and ask if we wanted drinks. The curry was mediocre and the cheese nan bread was bright orange and had what looked and tasted like processed square cheese in it. Needless to say, there are much better Indian food restaurants around where your custom is appreciated and the food is a whole lot better!

One of the best places to get proper indian food. Succulent lamb. Drops of the meat from the bone. Good food and good service

Had takeaways from here many times before and always found them very tasty. This time however we were extremely disappointed, not only were the portions very small, as in pots half full at the most. We had 4 different curries but they all tasted the same, considering 1 was supposed to be mild and 2 were meant to be spicy this was very disappointing, we could not work out which curry was which as they all tasted bland.

Not really a lover of Indian cuisine although this restaurant is a little gem. We were the only diners at the time so apart from the takeaway customers we enjoyed the atmosphere. A small (30ish places) yet very friendly place, very clean and very well set tables. Service was there when required. Food, I had the Tandoori mixed grill and enjoyed it thoroughly it was accompanied with side salad, the pickle tray was also left just in case I required some. It's non licensed so we brought our own wine, don't think we was charged corkage. Only draw back (very small one) is the fact that they only take cash, no card, although a cash machine is available outside no more than ten metres from the front door. Overall 9/10 for the experience. On a Wednesday night they do a five course set menu for £10.95 but was told booking is advisable.

We are regulars at Raheem and get a takeaway every Saturday night, but just occasionally it is nice to sit in and have a meal on site. The food is tasty, with substantial portions and the service friendly and polite. As far as local competition, I have tried them all, but this has become a firm favourite. Really lovely people, too, and that’s also important to me. They make you feel like you matter. Go on, what have you got to lose?

Never a bad curry from here, we order regularly and have never had a complaint, when we collect the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Would recommend.

Found online when looking for a takeaway in the area. Tried it on spec and was pleasantly surprised by the service and the food. Delivery was quick and the food was piping hot at the door. Great quality and very tasty, plus a few extras added by the restaurant in the bag. I’d certainly use it again and would recommend it to others

Worst experience ever, ordered from just eat and was given a delivery time of 1 hour after 1 and half hours we rang and they gave the usual nonsense of its on the way and will be 5 minutes. After 2 hours we rang again and was rudely told that they don't have our order, it's our fault and that was that. Will never use these again, I can accept mistakes but not the attitude. Seriously avoid if you like being treated as a human.

I have eaten here on several occasions now and have been really surprised with the quality of the food....its great. They don't open on Monday. Wednesday is the Special offer night with 5 courses for £10.95 just make sure you ring and reserve a table because it is a very popular offer.The staff are really friendly and will adjust a dish to your liking.They only serve soft drinks but you can take your own alcohol with you.They only accept cash payments (cash machine just outside the restaurant)I would recommend this restaurant to any curry lover.

I had never been to this restaurant before but I had heard good reviews so when the chance came up, I organised a group of 8 of us to try it. Although it's quite a small place, we had plenty of room and the waiter was very friendly. I was really impressed with the food; each course was exceptional-tasty and hot. The only downside was the amount of time it took for the courses to arrive but that was not an issue for a large group on a Saturday night. I would thoroughly recommend this place if you enjoy large portions of well cooked, Indian meals.

A very good experience, whether takeaway or eat in. Very obliging staff and good value for money. Sometimes the meat, especially the lamb, can be chewy and the spices and flavourings can be indistinguishable from some other dishes, but for a local facility, it is great and nothing much to complain about.

I have had a number of different experiences with raheems and the customer service can be varied. I have eaten in the restaurant several times, the restaurant is very small so I would recommend booking. It is being you own alcohol which is great and saves lots on the bill. The food is always very good too and has a wide variety and staff are happy to recommend dishes. Staff are very efficient and food comes out quickly and hot. My overall rating of the restaurant is very good.The take away service is where the restaurant lacks. The telephone ordering can be very challenging and o have had several dishes ordered wrong and is quite a slow process. On another experience the time food took to come was 2 and a half hours! After and hour and a half I rang to ask where my food was and they said they had just that second set off. I live a 5minute car journey away from the restaurant. The food took another hour to arrive. When it arrived I refused to pay as they said it would be 45minutes and it had made me late for an event and I had to battle on the phone with the restaurant when the delivery man finally arrived for them to give it me free. When they gave it me on the house I finally opened my food which was stone cold and I had asked for no chillis and mild to which is was full ofChillis and blew my head off. (Phone callMisunderstanding again). So I wasn't amused.More recently I gave it another go. Although the phone call order was still very challenging and the order was slightly wrong when it came. It arrived within 30minutes. They have us Pomadoms on the house which was a nice surprise (however no pickles?!). The dishes were hot and tasty.Overal I'd recommend the eating in the restaurant but I think the takeaway service needs improving slightly.

Gave this place a go last week, usually go to radhuni or sha jahan but having eaten a takeaway from here I might be converted.Service was good, food was tasty and will be returning soon.

Tried this place for the first time and I had a perfect evening. Staff were very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Their hospitality skills were 5*.I think its the cleanest Indian I've ever been in, the place seemed spotless. Even the one toilet they have was to a very clean standard. The food was excellent, the pickle trays were a decent size. Poppadoms were very nice too.The starters were very good.. I thought I didnt like onion bahji, but, I would have one again from there.The curry was to a very good standard, and the nann bread was excellent too. They even chucked in a couple of freebies.The fact that you can take your own alcohol helps keeps the price down. The prices were reasonable for the quality.The place is quite small, but definitely worth going. Ample parking as in shopping complex.I was a very happy customer and will be back.

Ordered a takeaway for four people and was advised that it would be delivered within the hour. One hour twenty minutes later it arrived both incorrect & cold. The delivery lad did apologise but that didn't help any. I would definitely never order from them again. If they cannot provide an adequate service they shouldn't advertise one.

We stay with friends in West Hallam every year and just ordered and collected a takeaway from here. The guys here are great; very friendly and accommodating. This place used to be a takeaway only but they have very cleverly made use of the available space to put tables in and make a lovely little, local eatery.

We've had take aways from here before and although never found the food to be fantastic it's usually satisfactory. We had two chick tik baltis tonight and although the food was enjoyable, the portion size had reduced by about 30%. Was left feeling disappointed and still hungry. Won't bother again.

Decided to get a takeaway whilst down visiting family for the weekend. We called here as we fancied a curry and this was the nearest place. We ordered a lamb pasanda and a chicken korai both with vegetable pilau rice ice. Really sorry to any the lamb pasanda was like no other lamb pasanda I'd ever had before. The meat was so tough and in a red sauce that I couldn't describe. It was awful. My husbands korai wasn't much better, tasteless was his description. Wether they cook these dishes differently in Derbyshire than they do in County Durham I don't know but we certainly won't be spending our money here again

Had a meal with family and we all thoroughly enjoyed it, the customer service was outstanding and the food was very enjoyable. Great efforts were made to make sure we were all happy with our meals. Highly recommend to everyone who is thinking of going. Fantastic.

I wanted an Indian take away and didn`t realise after considerable works it had been made a restaurant too. The quality of the food I had was frankly excellent. Chicken tikka jalfriezi is one of my favourites. The restaurant looked very inviting it made me regret opting for a take away. The staff were really very efficient, nice and friendly.

The curry is very poor quality, although the staff is विलक्षण Congratulations Raheem.

Was a little sceptical about the idea of a takeaway adding tables and calling itself a restaurant but this works. Decided to go on a whim on Saturday night and I expected to find it empty but I was wrong. There were people eating when we arrived and a steady flow of customers to both the restaurant and takeaway. Service was a bit slow but not so bad that you had to chase up your food but the staff were friendly and attentive. When the food arrived it was fresh, hot, plentiful and tasty. Prices were not cheap but reasonable. It's not licensed so you need to bring your own booze and the fact that you can pop next door for your beer and wine makes it a good value night out.

I have to admit that I didn't have very high expectations. There are a number of poor and average Indian restaurants/takeaways around Ilkeston but the food from here is really good!We tried the prawn puri and onion badghi starters which were both really fresh and tasty. Mains included chicken tikka Marsala, a spicy garlic chicken, mixed veg and potatoes and pilau rice. All really tasty, it's great to find a garlic dish with plenty of garlic, I like it nice and strong. Popadoms and naan finished the meal. It fed two of us for 3 meals so was good value at £27. I would definitely recommend the take away (on just-eat by the way) and will book a table and eat in the restaurant very soon.

We've tried this curryhouse a number of times now, and everytime it has been excellent. The food is fresh, the restaurant is immaculate, and the prices are very reasonable. It is better than most of the more expensive 'upscale' places in Derby without a doubt.

We went as a party of 10 on the last Friday in March. We'd heard plenty of good things about Raheem and tried it to celebrate a birthday. We arrived at 8 after a couple of looseners in the nearby Punchbowl. The Raheem staff were friendly and welcoming and our group and a couple who arrived shortly after meant the restaurant was full (the capacity is about 26). As the restaurant was also doing a brisk trade in takeaways, we had to wait a considerable time to be served but when the food arrived, it was superb. Raheem is unlicensed so bring your own booze. Small quibble - take your own bottle opener as there seemed to be only one in the whole place.Overall, this is a great little place to go but they need to address the time taken to serve at busy periods.

Delicious. My husband and I are vegetarian/fish eaters and we struggle to find something different on a menu to eat, but Raheem really have a brilliant menu lots of choice. Their prawn and spinach curry is especially gorgeous and just thinking about it now makes me want to pick up the phone and order one.

We visited Raheem last night for the first time and was most pleasantly surprised. Great food, friendly staff, spotlessly clean and the fact that you can take your own alcohol (as it isn't licensed) makes this a reasonably priced evening out. Looking forward to our next visit.

Went to the recently opened Raheem Indian Restaurant with friends on Friday evening and really enjoyed the experience. The food was great and extremely good value for money. There's ample parking as the restaurant is situated in a small shopping complex. A bonus for us is that this isn't a licensed restaurant so you can take your own alcohol which helps to keep the price down. Tesco Express is directly opposite so you can either buy it there beforehand or better still nip out and get some more if you run out. We had poppadum's and pickles to start followed by four different main course dishes. The food was plentiful and we all commented on the taste and quality of it. With it being a small restaurant you really do get looked after and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. All in all this is a little gem and we will definitely return.
