Our first time ordering a take away with Bay of Bengal. Since the pandemic we've found our previous go to places have provided mediocre food wrapped in poor customer service, it left us very reluctant to order takeaway Indian food. Having missed having flavoursome Indian food we trawled the reviews on the internet and decided to try Bay of Bengal and WOW are we so glad we did. We ordered tonight and have thoroughly enjoyed our food. Thank you so much, our first but definitely not last meal with the team at Bay of Bengal ❤️❤️❤️

Food was very bland and took over an hour to deliver 0.5miles. Rather of had a microwave meal

Fantastic food been here before (inside) but this time we were staying down the road at the Little Stryne Campsite so placed a large order over the phone and was told it would be ready in 50 mins. 40 mins later got a call to say it was just being bagged up so went to collect. Fantastic front of house service, back at the site the order was spot on with no issues and the food was 5 ⭐️

A group of us went tonight for a birthday meal. 1st time we have dined in. The food was fantastic. Quick service, amazing food with beautiful flavours. No complaints at all. Definitely be back.

What an amazing evening meal. Informal and friendly. We had the most amazing service from our waiter ( Shoes) who was able to recommend amazing dishes based on things we said we liked. I honestly think that I have eaten some of the best food I have ever eaten! The service was just so amazing from start to finish and the food delicious. Our 9 year old summed it up perfectly: "you will be seeing us again!" A lovely place for an unpretentious, delicious evening meal.

Wow! From start to finish an amazing evening meal. Our waiter was so so friendly and attentive and suggested the best meals. He took a risk and persuaded our daughter to try a different meal from her order and said if she didn't like it she could have something else for free. He was amazing ( Shoes)! We will absolutely definitely be back! Oh my gosh the food was amazing!!!! Gone home with two nice take away left overs too!

Superb Indian food. BYO alcohol makes it alot more affordable to have a nice night out. One of my favourite Indian food restaurants. On their night as it was this night they are the best.

I went for the Monday offer . I asked about it but when I came to pay the bill I was told I’d gone off the main menu. I had made it obvious I’d come in for the offer. When ordering why wasn’t I told what I’d ordered wasn’t on the Monday night offer. Speaking to others about this I was told that it had happened to them or people they knew had been there. I felt ripped off when I came out

My order was delayed twice and took 2 and a half hours to be delivered after ordering. When the food arrived there were only 5 small pieces of chicken and a few onions after paying £9.95 for a chicken tikka main. There was also only one pot of mint sauce when it was meant to come with two of the dishes.

Great quality food, hot and arrived on time. Driver was very smiley and polite. Onion bhajis were fantastic!

Ordered midweek. Nearly 2 hours for delivery. Bland curries and overall quality in general was poor. Overflowing with oil in the curry and ended up throwing it away! As none of us were enjoying it. Disappointed after seeing such good reviews online.

I ordered my food at just after 6:30 and it didn’t arrived until 8:40. I feel that this is poor. It was also cold when it arrived and needed to be reheated

When ordering I have had many but I feel that the spice is no longer there I used to crave the spice and warmth from the dish but it seems to have changed and not for the better i ask for extra garlic to see if this would pick up the flavour but is always missed so it’s a real shame as I do love this place the lamb tikka as a slightly odd taste to it as well which makes it unpleasant to eat which is a shame the rice and garlic Naan is very nice please go back to how you used to be and I would order more from you

Just eat made a mistake as I was outside their delivery area and shouldnt have been able to order but they happily sent a chef with the order to my house anyway. The curry was delicious and I would definitely recommend

The manager/owner greeted us and he was so friendly and welcoming. What a lovely man! Starters were really tasty and the mains even better!! Was a little disappointed they didn't do any desserts at all. But such value for money, we will definitely be back again!!

Prices gone up but everything else is the same. Now charging relatively high end prices for the same quality of food. Decor hasn’t changed and remains tatty. Place was very cold.

Lovely food, great tasting and quality, just wish the delivery time wasn’t as bad. Time on profile is quoted as 45-60 mins but once order is placed it jumpers to 1hr 20-1hr 40! (Happened both times I’ve ordered with them).

Friendly staff, lovely curry. Special offers Mon and Wed too! Highly recommend. Lamb saag is my new favourite but if you feel adventurous and fancy something sweet, try the banana curry - nicer than it sounds!!

My favourite restaurant! Say disappointed with this order. No way bear like my usual meal quality from them. Naan was really small my main was more onion and sauce than chicken 😕 hoping this is just a one off.

Disappointed,,, I have visited this restaurant frequently in the past and always enjoyed an excellent meal and excellent service Sadly, I will not be using the Takeaway service again the chicken Tikka masala was a luminous red very watery sauce with very few pieces of chicken tikka in it, bland and horrible The keema naan was small and almost devoid of filling So disappointing from a very good restaurant

The restaurant did call and explain the food would be late and could not be more apologetic. The food was really nice and hot. Meat was very tender as well. Really enjoyed it and would definitely order again from them.
