Very nice meal and polite and helpful staff

I liked being able to order via the QR code. The chikdrens outdoor play area needs some maintenance / upkeep. The kids prefered to play in the bushes behind the play area making a den. Unfortunately this runs parallel to the car park & we can't see them. We only ordered drinks on this occasion but the carvery looked & smelled nice.

Visited this pub this evening, the atmosphere was really good, me and my family,y really enjoyed our visit. We had both food of the menu and carvery. I had a cowboy burger which was really nice and full of flavour. the other people who came with me had the carvery and said that it was one of the best carvers they have had in a while. The meat was really nice it just melted in there mouth, the veg was all hot and full of flavour. we will be back very soon and will be recommending it to everyone we know and we are going to start using this for all our family get togethers.

Came here with my family for someones birthday. Never been before we had the carvery as I am fussy eater and when we walked past it looked really nice so I had that. The chef that served us was friendly and like to have a conversation with us, which makes a difference. the veg was cooked to really well it was full of flavour and was hot. will be coming back here very soon and will be recommending this place to people we know.

We went for a meal this evening both had fish and chips the fish was very poor far to over cooked complained to the waitress her words were sorry we are training a new chef we could not eat it normally have a good meal there but this time very poor will not be rushing back hope nobody has to pay for new chef’s mistakes!!

Staff and service was great but the food did not come up to the same standards unfortunately.

Called in for Sunday lunch Very busy but seated quickly after being greeted at the main door. Able to order at table via app or in person at the bar. Food served quickly and hot, some had carvery, some had menu. Too full for dessert so took some home with us.

Lovely food, I had the large meal and to be honest I think the medium would have been enough. Polite and friendly service.

Great place and service but the vegetable is a bit limited! I wish there was more greens... broccoli, cabbage, kale or spinach! Let's get healthy!!

Eaton Farm, personally my favourite pub in the Long Eaton & Sawley area. Always a good atmosphere, especially in the sun. ☀️ Service is always friendly, so wonderful staff. ✅️ Me and my friend had a carvery on this visit; which has always been great whenever I've been.🍖🥕 The bar food is also lovely, too.🍔🍟 The pints are class too 🍻 All in all, the whole vibe makes visiting Eaton Farm feel like a good value for money experience. No stars whatsoever for the toilets they smell horrendous as you walk towards the entrance to them. Today they were beyond disgusting no proper working locks no toilet paper faeces in two of the three toilets. The toilet seats are broken. Dissapointing. Won't be coming back in a hurry !

Visited Eaton farm today and had a great visit staff all friendly food was amazing. Will be coming back very soon.

Came here for a meal with family. We had a mixture of main menu and carvery. The food was really good and the service was excellent. Will be coming back very soon.

I took my mother here easter friday..I ordered our drinks and a small carvery for my mother..I wasn't told it was more because it was easter friday..only to be charged an extra £3 for a small carvery.. I went to the carvery to get my mums food as she is nearly 93.. I asked for a bit of each of the 3 meats ..well they were the smallest and thinest pieces of meats I've ever seen..bearing in mind the £9.49 carvery was normally Monday to friday but with it being good friday it was £12.49..without me being told..the 3 tiniest was that small they could of all been put on a fork and been one mouth full.. Well I told the chap who served me about the lack of meat..Is that it ? his reply was it's only a small..yes a bank holiday small....£3 MORE. I then went to a bar man and explained to him.about the meat....he wasn't interested at all..I wish I'd of took a photo of it to prove how STINGY the EATON FARM was..we've started going here quite a few times and the food has been good.. the portions of meat have been good for a small BUT this 1 person carving the meat needs to go.., I HAVE WRITTEN A COMMENT ON ANOTHER SITE..got a reply back from the owner..who wasn't really bothered at all..NEVER GOT A RESPONCE LIKE..SORRY TO HEAR YOU HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE..WE CAN OFFER U A DISCOUNT OR A FREE MEAL OUT OF YOUR EXPERIENCE..BUT NO..WELL THERES 6 people who won't be going again..I don't know who the owner is but if I was you I would concentrate by making your customers happy then you mite get more positive comments

Great visit today. Came as a family of 4 for a quick meal before heading away. Carvery was lovely, going to save room for a slice of cake next time, they looked amazing.

Came for the Easter egg hunt, very good organisation and friendly service, kids were more than happy! Good food and beers after.

Great place to have a catch up with friends

Took my mum friday( easter bank holiday) Now with it being good friday her small dinner wasn't the usual £9.49 it was £12.49 .... at the carvery i asked for abit of each of the 3 meats..Well 3 bits of the smallest pieces of meat I've ever seen..it was a joke ,I said to the chap carving the meat..is that it.?.he said yes it's only a small(at a bigger price).i then went to the chap that works behind the bar and shown him..he said it's only a small..it was £3 more than a normal friday but no extra meat ..I wished I would of taken a picture of it because the 3 tiniest pieces of meat ive ever ever seen..so basically it was a plate of vegetables for nearly £13 totally ripped off. .think twice before you come here

Got a reduced price carvery and it was amazingly cooked and superb quality too.

Excellent and friendly service. We met up with six friends and all chose from the carvery. Everyone enjoyed the food. My husband and I drove 90 miles from Oxfordshire (which is why it has been a while since our last visit) but we intend to return every six months.

We came the other day and had a great time. The carvery was very nice and the staff were very helpful. I don’t have space for dessert but we did take them home. Can’t wait to come back again very soon.

Still the dregs of pubs in the area. Have walked in multiple times and walked out, hoping they would have changed their stained broken chairs, their weird old people to one side of the pub and family's to the other orientation. Staff rush past you with manners and the bathrooms are gross.

Food was hot, tasty, & delivered in a timely manner (We all ate from the menu, rather than the carvery). Some confusion over whether to order at the table or the bar, and couldn't get the app to load, but all good overall

Carvery terrible dry and tasteless

I had nachos with added pulled pork. I was very disappointed with the toppings. There was no cheese, guacamole or sour cream to speak of, and the £4 extra paid for the egg cup size portion of pork was ridiculous. I can’t believe I paid nearly £14 for that. Then the dessert came, chocolate and mint torte, that had like jelly pieces in it so had far too much gelatin in it. It wasn’t nice and I couldn’t eat it. Very disappointed visit. It was my first experience of this place and I won’t be planning to return. The others in my party had carvery, which looked lovely. Shame I hadn’t chosen that.

Found our own table, very laid back place (maybe a little too laid back sometimes). Staff are all lovely. One of our ordered meals was wrong but quickly rectified with plenty of apologies and a fresh plate of the right order bought out.

Decent atmosphere, good value food with good portion sizes.

First time here with my wife and granddaughter. Service great, carvery meat very tender and tasty. Veg a little dry due to being under the heat lamps, but overall, very good value for money, great atmosphere. Child and dog friendly too.

Food is not the strong point but the lager and beer is good

The carvery is always superb, the meats are tender and delicious, also we love the vegetable selection. Mash potatoes with tasty gravy with mint sauce, cranberry sauce plus other sauces to tempt your palette.

I live in Leicester and drive almost an hour to get here. I love the Sunday Roast they make here. I think it's one of the best in the UK.

Had 30% discount offer on line but told when served that this doesn't apply to small carveries. Always has been in the past. Not shown as excluded on email. As far as I know a small carvery IS a main meal.

Bloody awful they invited me to have a main meals with a 30% off voucher but wasn't allowed to have what I wanted so I left and went elsewhere

We arrived for an evening meal - a group of 11 adults on a special occasion - expecting a carvery meal. We were disappointed to be told that the carvery had sold out! The food that we did eventually choose was very nice, but if you offer a carvery all day, you really ought to have enough in stock, particularly with a large group having been booked in for the evening.....

What a dreadful meal from the start. 4.30 pm hardly anyone in there all veg covered over once uncovered it was rock hard stuffing, dried up carrots, rock hard roast potatoes and mash with a skin on , brown cabbage (which my hubby put on his plate to my disgust, but he never ate it) looks like it’s been sat under the lights all day when I asked what’s happened to that he said yeah it’s been busy all day I’ve been run of my feet?? I asked for fresh cabbage and then fresh stuffing to be told it would be 15min? Which I replied well that’s no good is it? 5min later was bought over fresh cabbage and fresh stuffing but was still a very disappointing meal. The attitude of the restaurant manager was appalling no apology or anything … picture of the rank food being served !! AVOID

Lovely food except for hard veg ,it does seem the norm nowadays but maybe not a good idea ,also very runny cauliflower cheese ,but all in all a very good experience.

5* pub service went for a 40th brithday meal with friends and my hubby had a balloon brithday cake which was brought across by Danny the manager lovely service really enjoyed my time there loved the scampi and chips my hubby loved his carvery a good time was had by all thank you ever so much to Danny Wayne and Sammy will definitely see you again soon thank you ever so much for making my birthday celebrations special xxxx

Nice friendly welcome, food always very good,although the carvery self help food this time wasn't as hot as it usually is,but overall a very nice dining experiance, Plenty of car parking and a good few disabled bays too..The chairs however don't lend to a comfortable sitting,especially if you have bacl/leg/spine issues,need to be firmer and taller.

I ordered the 2 for £9 takeaway giant cakes but wasn't expecting what I took away. Carrot cake was a good slice and looked nice but not the lemon meringue. Was given 2 thin pieces of lemon cake. Not impressed so won't bother with these again. However, carvery is a different matter, that is outstanding!

Food is always fresh and hot. Yorkshire puds are quite a disappointment though, there is no taste to them

Nice atmosphere. Great service, very welcoming staff. Luke served me at the bar. Seemed a breath of fresh air. We had the carvery which was nice. Plenty of choice. Carrots looked like they had been sat a while but tasted nice. I’m surprised to see such a vast menu along side the carvery. So much choice. But I think I’d stick to your carvery. Love the cake to take away idea. And regretted not getting one. Not that I needed it after my carvery. But they looked so nice.

We had a table booked for my mums 60th. The staff were accommodating and let us keep a cake and candles in the back. The service was good and we all had a carvery which was probably the best carvery i have had. The whole vibe was nice and we left very happy

Was really looking forward to a nice meal had a good walk round west park had a nice day , I would rate the food but we couldn’t even order was stood waiting in queue for 20 mins so we got fed up and just left spoiled our day really as it left us frustrated ( and hungry ) cause we don’t get much time together when we are at work all the time , not quite sure why there’s a big lit up carvery sign smack dab in the middle of the place looks tacky won’t be going back which is a shame it’s very local to us this was our first time going in and will be our last

Been today. We had 3 steaks on the offer. Awful! I had mine with salad that had long past its sellby date. Mushrooms were cooked many times & shrivelled. Onions rings were very hard as were the peas. Will not be going again. £40 Thrown away. Carpet was in dangerous state as assistant was told.

Last minute carvery choice for Sunday lunch will definitely be first choice next time

The food was delicious and we all enjoyed it. The only downsides were that the pub wasn’t showing on the website for us to order via the QR code, plus it was a long wait for desserts.

Breakfast with Santa was absolutely wonderful. My grandson had a very special time and the entertainers were great, professional and patient with the children. Food as always was fab. Overall a great experience

It was a quick visit for a late lunch, found a spare table, nice that it was clean already as the place was busy, and all too often you end up with a table that’s just been vacated and isn’t clean. Ordered online, everything came to the table in a timely fashion and tasted great. Staff were friendly, not too much interaction as ordered online, but all seemed very pleasant.

Carvery is lovely. Nice choice of meats and veg something for everyone. The basic menu is very similar to most pub grub ie burgers, steaks, pies,chicken etc but at a reasonable price. But for me the carvery everytime.

The food was amazing, the meat melted in your mouth. Vegetables cooked perfectly and so tasty! Potatoes again, cooked amazingly! Such a lovely environment, so comfortable and the staff are so friendly and helpful!

Used to love coming here for a family carvery and could not ask for anything else , staff were nice, food was delivered quick and tasted amazing having the play park outside was amazing and the kids wanted to stay longer than us🤣

Only worth going when discounts are offered due to the high end prices for a standard pub. Its cheaper and nicer at the nearby Bulls Head. They don't have enough staff to cope at discount times. And they get flustered easily - got a right bit of lip when I suggested that an inoperative till area should have a sign to say that its not in use.😕 Expect over 30 minutes wait for non-carvery food. Choice of a few beers, but needs to 'up the game' with cask ales, especially considering the brewery that owns them. Reasonably clean and tidy with good service, but starting to look a bit tatty around the edges now. Decent food but pricey beer. Needs more veggie or vegan options on main meals. Good for everyone from young families to couples, to discerning pensioners. Dog friendly. Perfectly located - bus stop outside and plenty of parking. Just basically need to get their act together.

Thursday steak and drink was excellent.

3 deep at the bar, 3 serving behind it, so queuing for 10-15mins to purchase anything, including carvery tickets. Generally food was 3 stars (undercooked beef, overdone roasties) whereas to be fair, we would have given 4 stars on the last visit, but that's Eaton Farm - up and down in food quality. Really unsure why a carvery ticket goes up in price for Sunday's ...

Really enjoyed our experience ordered two rump steaks, cooked perfectly the only downside, the steaks were cold. We notified the waitress. We advised that we were happy to eat them, but just to make them aware the hottest item on the meal were the chips. If the steaks were hot it would have been amazing.

Good pub chain, food above average, atmosphere is sometimes a bit lackluster and it could do with a better ale selection. Go for the carvery and you won't be disappointed though.
