Quiet and friendly, but sadly no food being served at the moment

Went for bike night..no promotion and no effort for the bikers. Not much range of food.

Lovely village pub, Chris and Sue are Brill and have given it a new lease of life. Events and nights for whatever hobby or budget x

Good place for social contact with a goodrange of beers. Also have a jam night on the last Tuesday of every month where some great local musicians put on a varied free show (8-11pm)

Only popped in for a quick drink and game of pool. Excellent friendly service. "Thrown out" due to a committee meeting starting. Close shave getting involved there!

Popped in on the way home for a couple of pints and was greeted by a very polite gentleman am guessing the landlord made us feel very welcome. Wasn't very busy but was early but looking around am guessing it gets very busy at night. Heard good thing's about the food but that was from a long time ago and am unsure if they still do food and Sunday roasts. Definitely going back so will update later this place is dog friendly so that's nice to see.

Went in mid afternoon, looking for a pub meal. Unfortunately they advised us that they ‘only do evening food’. They are dog friendly, but the person behind the bar was entirely focused on the couple of locals who were in. It felt a little bit of a ‘local pub, for local people’ (who only get hungry at night). The interior is tired and could do with some TLC - I felt a bit like I was on the set of The Worlds End.

Lovely traditional pub. Staffed by lovely people. Not sure about the real ale credentials. Doom bar and Timothy Taylor do not really pass muster. Well kept beer though. Pizza OK, but not home-made. Pre-packed and oven warmed maybe. Nice though.

Great local in Draycott. Good range of beers and lagers on offer and a great range of gin as well. Lovely outdoor area, really good pizzas on offer towards the end of the week. Dog friendly pub, always a warm welcome.

Attended here for a motorbike meeting, which wasn't well attended (a bit too early for the time of year but once the clocks go forward it will be great) the Timothy Taylor landlord was very well kept and the landlord was very friendly, well worth a visit.

Thursday night, dog friendly quiz night. Great atmosphere and warm welcome to everyone.

Great village pub with great selection of drinks to suit everyone. Shame the pool tables gone but regardless we will always be back.

Good fun as always especially at xmas , good range of beers reasonable prices, good atmosphere, always look forward to calling in and whiling away the time.

Very good, good sized Sunday dinner. Well kept beers.

Tried to get their attention several times and was ignored. Only wanted to ask a simple question about the menu, we were told they would be with us in one minute and after twenty minutes of waiting we gave up. I even text the number and still no one paid any attention. They also sat us next to a lot of dead flies which was off-putting to say the least.

Such a lovely atmosphere with gorgeous, good value food.

Just had a fantastic meal with all the family!! Staff were excellent and couldn’t do anymore to make us feel welcome!! Will definitely recommend to others!!

Nipped into the Coach for the first time (new to the area) Firstly it was great to be back at a pub! but i must say i was really pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and drink and friendliness of the staff. I would really recommend this pub restaurant to anyone for a great afternoon or evening out.

As far as I am concerned this is the best pub in Draycott. The beer is always good and a fair selection of real ales as well as a discount for CAMRA members. I have not eaten there for a long while but when I have it has always been good. The only down side for me being a lunch time drinker is that the pub is only open lunch times on weekends and bank holidays, this is understandable due to the lack of trade during the week.

have visited a handful of times decided to eat here on Thursday evening . wont be doing it again . the food is very "microwave" endorsed food . my daughters pizza was as hard as rock couldn't even cut it . my burger was dry and the chip were straight out of the frozen isle in asda .

Excellent ale, good atmosphere, friendly service..

Called in on a spur of the moment thing, never eaten here before. Service and food were both amazing. We thought we were hungry and ordered a sharing platter for a starter and then 2 mains. Portions were very generous and we just couldn’t finish even though the food was so good. Good value for money and will be returning.

I went for the first time to the 52 Cafe bike meet tonight and really enjoyed it. A lovely pub, pleasant staff with plenty.of parking. They had a live band playing outside which was actually so loud you couldn't speak to each other. Other than that a great motorcycle meet

Lovely little drinkers pub. Pleasant staff, decent drink selection, tidy little outdoor area, car park. Must confess that I saw very little of the inside and didn't try the food, but what I did see, pleasantly met expectation.

Top food and beerin a friendly environment. Chef clearly knows what hes doing. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Already booked my next visit.

If you are looking for a delicious Sunday dinner that is not only pleasing on the eye but delicious in taste then AVOID here because you won't get it ! Ver disappointing visit that had all the promises of being a great dining experience, well that was the 1st error (I must have read the reviews wrong :( ) Initally a warm welcome and we settled down and in great anticipation of the Sunday dinner, on appearance when it was served to the table it looked great, that's were it ended, meat was chewy not melt in the mouth as I had read, 1 roast potato 1 new potato each (there was six of us) over cooked veg which was like mush, gravy was thin and lacked any flavour , chicken was probably the only edible meat on the platter, gammon too thick and salty, beef (if that's what you call it!) was tough as shoe leather, pork no taste and chewy so overall a very disappointing meal on the whole, total waste of £70 and to top it off, we had literally just finished when we was rudely interrupted by the bar lady asking us was we ready to pay the bill WTF ! Not did you enjoy it? , at which point I would have fedback this review in the same tone it is typed ! No ask if we wanted anything else, not that we would have but not the point ! How this pub has got good reviews is beyond me and assume diners like eating crap food, I would compere this at best below average and have eaten at better places for less money, even Toby carvaries out weigh this 'restuarant'(uses the word begrudingly) safe to say we won't be returning

Warm and friendly pub - Well worth a visit

Myself and my partner enjoyed a lovely meal at the coach and horses - the Cajun chicken salad and mixed grill were a couple of the best pub restaurant meals we have ever had. The pub had just printed their Christmas menus and we were so impressed with the quality of the food that after chatting with the chef we have booked our Christmas staff party. Highly recommend.

The pub is a lovely place and very cosy, food is also great. My main concern of this pub is that the landlord is very obnoxious and rude. I have twice been turned away because apparently I was caught on camera causing mischief the previous week despite not being in the village. I tried to have a conversation with the manager as it was quiet although he outright refused to serve me. I have not been in since as this put me off, I understand people reading this may think that I am at fault but I can assure you I am not a trouble maker. Go into another pub in the village and ask for them to recommend this place and I can confidently say they’ll tell you to keep away!

Popped in to try the food today on our way back home. I've had a garlic, lemon and herbs chicken with minty gravy, and my partner had a lasagne that comes with chips and garlic bread. Both meals were delicious, and there was plenty of food. Glad we tried it cause we're not too far so will definitely come back!

Great atmosphere - stayed for the karaoke night and had a real blast. Friendly staff and locals - the way a pub should be.

Booked Sunday Lunch for 3 people. It was a beautiful meal. The meat, yorkshire puddings, sausage, stuffing etc arrived on a big platter to help yourself. There was plenty of veg as well in separate bowls. We loved the gravy as well. Well cooked meal tht we relaxed and enjoyed. Will definately be returning.

Normally I would give this place 5 stars however we did go Easter Sunday as a family of 8 and they did appear to struggle The main meal was a little overcooked ....but I would definitely go again just as a couple because I'm sure it was just a blip

Sunday Roast comes as a platter of beef, chicken and pork, roast potatoes, boiled potatoes, veg and Yorkshire puddings. Plenty of it and extremely tasty.

Visited for sunday lunch after reading the reviews on here. Not disappointed! A lot of food - we were starving but still couldnt manage all the veg. Very good value for money, great food and fast service.

Really good variety on the menu, we ordered a sharing platter as a starter, it was huge, tasty & great value for money. The Cajun chicken I had for my main was perfectly cooked, best I have had for a long time & the burger with Stilton was lovely too. Great service & atmosphere.

Out for a dog walk, and a drive from Nottingham; we literally stumbled across this dog friendly, quiet, welcoming, warm, little Pub in Draycott...

Always enjoy a good beer and friendly atmosphere at The Coach. New menu for late 2017 with some nice additions. Food here is good and well presented. Management and staff always accommodating.......I got a take out Sunday roast a few weeks ago, which was excellent.

Had previously visited for sunday lunch which was superb.

A welcoming pub entrance and bar staff, but the real bonus was their Sunday lunch. They call it a sharing platter, which consisted of plenty of turkey, gammon, pork and beef, plus yorkshires and vegetables. Totally plenty of food, which was all piping hot and well cooked. Best of all, very reasonably priced, making it a Sunday lunch trip we will be repeating in the future.

The Sunday lunch here is absolutely amazing!!! It is absolutely delicious, every single element was tasty and well cooked. Superb value for money. Well impressed. I would highly recommend and will definitely be back (probably on a weekly basis lol!)

We did not book but our party of 12 were accommodated quickly without bother. The staff were fantastic. We ordered food which was delivered quickly and was tasty and good portions. When back in Ashbourne I will definitely be coming back.

Tuvimos una comida hermosa con mi novia en el autobús y caballos restaurante - pub su nuevo menú es increíble. Todo casero, excelentes precios - la comida era sublime y un montón de cosas. Pub estaba limpio y ordenado, con una gran selección de cervezas...

Gente amable, sociable. El personal acogedor detrás de la barra. Ambiente confortable, una excelente variedad de cervezas bien cuidada y próspera de fondo local de música. Aunque no tienen comida entendemos que es altamente recomendable, y el almuerzo de los domingos es lo suficientemente popular para ser reservas. Agradable ver pubs como estos todavía están floreciendo, y sin duda próspera. Un sobresaliente durante todo! !

Visted here, for Sunday lunch the food was amazing, the meat was out of this world and very tasty.And the staff couldn't do enough for you .Must visit for Sunday lunch throughly enjoyed it :).

Very helpful staff on a very busy day went out of their way to accommodate us. Nice outside space that welcomes dogs and kids. Nice range of food and right in the centre of the town.

Not being on facebook i am unable to review the excellent "Twisted pie company" that runs the kitchen here so reviewing them through the Coach & Horses trip advisor . We had food here for the first time on Sat 5th Nov 2016 we booked for 7.30 & table was ready - had a few drinks whilst talking to Mark (landlord) & locals - ordered our food which did not take long at all and was also freshly cooked - chefs deliver their food to you & are very friendly also nothing is too much trouble for them if you have particular requirements- the quality of our meals was outstanding & as good as any restaurant- also the value for money is excellent & if you have not tried this place in Draycott then give it a go as the chefs & management have got it just right & a wonderful asset to the local areas. It certainly wont be long before we eat here again- many thanks for good quality food & ales. M&K (Breaston) PS this place gets better & better.

Although we live in Breaston (up the road) this place is a credit to the landlord & landlady - it is immaculately clean throughout the building - seating,floors windows all clean - As a lifetime member of CAMRA i can tell you that the ales here are always excellent quality without the usual " just changed the barrel mate or must be getting to the end of the barrel" - the Abbots & BG Sips are the best quality around in fact any guest ale is perfectly looked after & served. The entertainment is also of a high quality & thursday nights are "jamming" nights & well worth a visit. You will get a discount on ales with your CAMRA card so if you live local then give this place a try. M&K (Derbys)

Always has a selection of great beers on which are kept and served to perfection. Whenever we fancy a pint we always go to the coach. Has a dart board and a pool table, which come in very handy after a few tasty ales.

Every Friday is gregz American kitchen w my on the 1st friday of the month and it was burger night fantastic great price. Really good food and beer was good as well has local real ales on sometime it has one draycott brewery on as well which has been good when I have had it! Well worth a visit!

I decided to revisit this pub after my last visit (& poor review) to see if there was any improvement and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised!! The landlord & landlady were very welcoming & told us our dogs were very welcome in the pub. There was even a bowl of water out for dogs & we were allowed to sit in the main part of the bar, not another room like some so called dog friendly pubs!There was another family with young children & a dog at the other end of the pub too.This time I was able to have a coffee, a very nice one at that too!! We didn't eat, just popped in for a drink; but the welcome & atmosphere on this second visit was so good we will definitely be going bank!!The door to the kitchen was open & I have to say I have never seen such a spotlessly kitchen!! 10/10!! My last visit must have been on an off day!!

After a dog walk on a Sunday afternoon on 3rd August 2014, in baking 25c heat, we decided to stop off for a drink in the beer garden at this pub. There was a large sign on the side advertising tea & coffee as well as a further sign in the beer garden advertising organic ice cream.I was slightly taken back when we walked in to find the place empty apart from 2 guys! This place is pretty big & serves food, so thought this unusual for a sunny Sunday afternoon, even the beer garden was empty, but we soon realised why. I decided I would like a coffee and a tub of the ice cream, only to be told they had no milk & no ice creams!! The young lad behind the bar looked thoroughly embarrassed about this, but seeing as he was lone working he couldn't even offer to nip out to get any milk.Needless to say, we decided not to stay and left. I'm guessing as they don't bother to keep their stocks up, people go to the other pubs within 20 seconds walk from this place instead! I won't be revisiting this pub, even though it's right around the corner from where I live!!

Welcoming, warm and immaculately clean! Superb cask ales and BIG discounts for CAMRA members, this pub is worth the visit. The landlord gets really involved in village activities and recently won an award for the summer baskets - pretty as a picture. Pork pies and a pint in a convivial atmosphere.

Lovely Pub. New landlord, and he's doing an amazing job. Lets support him!
