Staff very helpful food lovely there was 18 of us and they were very efficient

Nice place and pleasant and attentive service. I had the nachos as a starter and was not blown away. Nachos were cold and no melted cheese. I then had grilled hailoumi and grilled vegetables with chips, it was ok.

Had the festive menu today with a friend. It was absolutely delicious, real turkey (not plastic) all cooked to perfection. The staff were all great, best Christmas lunch I've had this year and I've been 3 previously. Well done the plough

28th Nov 2024 The Plough in Sandiacre. We only ate there when they had 40% offer. but on this occasion even they managed to surpass their already low standard. The food was amateurish at best Cold chips, Tough grizzly chicken, Cold plates, Dry Burger, Old salad. Nobody attended the table to ask if the meal was ok. Not a pleasant experience at all. We have deleted our sizzling pubs account and NEVER eat there again.

Had a gammon that was underdone let them know and was given a fresh meal without any problem which was very good this time so we'll done that is what good service is about

The most grim bathrooms. Cobwebs on walls and you have to do a full on suck in and jump to be able to close the doors as they are so tiny.

The food was ok but there used to be some interesting items on the menu, now it's typical "pub grub". The staff are nice and it is clean.

Brilliant staff great atmosphere

We visit this place regularly and this place has really improved over the past couple of years.. the food is always hot and tasty and very good value for money. They hosted a Halloween kids party this evening and it was great, not overcrowded and a great atmosphere. Very well organised. Drinks are also reasonably priced. We will continue to come here again and would definitely recommend. Well done!

Fantastic meal for mums 85th birthday, there were 16 of us on one table, we ordered separately but it all came together & was lovely. Cheers to Megan and Laura. Will definitely come more often .

A perfect place for a family get together.

First visit today and it will not be my last. The food and drink was brilliant and not overpriced. The accommodation is clean, warm and tidy with staff who are very friendly. Meals arrived quickly and tasted wonderful. Large carpark at the front and back and there are tables out back for those long summer days and evenings. Well worth a visit

Well me & my friend had a meal at the plough and has I don’t eat salt or my friend doesn’t either When we asked for the chips with no salt on omg we couldn’t believe the attitude we got Saying we would have to sign a form on line cause they would have to clean the kitchen so there’s no salt on our chips has it was classed has a allergy What ?? Cause neither of us liked salt So never asked for no salt on your chips 😂🤣😂

Lovely friendly staff, exceptionally clean large pub. Good food well cooked. Nice garden which we hope the weather will allow us to enjoy on a future visit. A really enjoyable experience.

It does have a nice friendly relaxed atmosphere, the prices are relatively cheap and the food is passable but there's a ton of better options locally so I don't see any reason to ever visit again.

I used to love this pub. Still go very ofter although the low review its convenient and very close to where I live. Honestly the food is mediocre, service can be poor at time although the staff are polite and welcoming. Many of times have had to wait more than 20mins for a kids ice cream ordered from an app. In my opinion easy to do fast and even when it's quite can take a long time. Reasonably priced food makes up for most of it. Shame really because this pub inside and out is beautiful and on a sunny day is a great place to sit but the canal

Everything from the ordering of the food to being served was brilliant, I recommend the Gammon as it was tasty and not salty as ive had gammon in other places and its been vert salty, if i could give an extra mention it would our server Chloe was polite professional and very curtious.

Staff were polite and welcoming Most of the meals were excellent value pub grub The beef rib was 90% fat and should not have been put on a plate. Perhaps give the kitchen staff some responsibility to be able to reject dishes if they do not think they are of sufficient quality. I kept ploughing on with it hoping to find some meat but should have just rejected it at the start with hindsight. The rest of the meal was fine. After discussion with staff we came to an amicable resolution.

Went for lunch today, great service from Anna at the bar and food was fabulous cooked by Laura and Wayne. Hubby was happy with a pint of Timothy Taylors landlord. Another great visit.

Kacie and Laura were absolutely brilliant they served me and my partner with really bright smiley faces and checked in on us throughout the meal definitely recommend coming here for a meal and drink

Amazing pub for a after work or leaving party

Had a perfect meal yesterday. The new menu is really great. Everything about our visit was really good, and we will definitely be visiting again soon. It was lovely to see Laura Robinson, who popped over to see us and make sure everything was OK which of course it was. Well done to all the staff for their hardwork. Julie and Darren Hibbard

Visited this evening for my granddaughters birthday, we were served at the bar with a friendly member of staff, took all our food orders, the food came out and it was delicious. We did send back the burgers due to having cheese, no quibble took them and replaced with the correct order. No scrape off totally new order, throughly enjoyed every dish. The waiting staff was polite well presented and friendly. Definitely would recommend and the menu is spot on. Very busy both sides as bingo quiz and pool was on but nice atmosphere 👌. Well done guys it's definitely worth a visit. Great food and great drinks

I went in with my dog Connie (my Husband was out for the day) I liked the look of the new Menu and tried the Tandoori Chicken Skewers..... GREAT choice!! Large chunks of tender Chicken, on 3 skewers, smothered in a very tasty,not too spicy Tandoori marinade, served on a hot skillet covered in soft Peppers, Onions etc. There was a good scattering of Red Chilli slices to bring the heat up. DELICIOUS 😋 AND because we go to The Plough quite often, I had a free dessert,thanks to their app!!! Friendly welcoming Staff too. Great local place to eat!! 🥰

The food at this establishment was extremely tasty but what truly made the service was our server. A lovely girl named Anna made our time eating lovely, it was swift and she was very personable. Would recommend purely for this reason.

Nice food friendly staff but will not be going on a Thursday again most tables booked for a quiz .Not what you want when eating but will definitely go again.

Came in for a few drinks a few days ago after i had a hard day at work and was feeling down, Sierra at the bar was very welcoming and friendly, spoke to me for a while and made sure i was okay. Great service and nice affordable drinks.

First time back for a while and can say what a difference, the staff Sierra, Chloe and Emily really looked after us, we had sirloin steak and rib roast for our main and it was cooked to perfection, the only complaint we can make is to bring back the Jack Daniels BBQ sauce and cookie dough cheese cake to make a perfect meal.

Usually a good standard pub food but last nights visit fell short. Crowns on the buns for burgers burnt Food lacking in presentation Sundaes not available A massive bug bear of mine is drinks served in the wrong glass. Surely a pub know that a glass can alter the finished taste of a drink. If I order a peroni I want it in a peroni glass.

Came in for food and some drinks the other night, was served and looked after by Chloe all night who was lovely and very helpful towards all our needs. The food was also excellent and good value for the money!

Tables and area reserved for 22 people - the space was great and the service was brilliant. Slight issue with one of the dishes that didn’t arrive seasoned as it should (no Cajun on the chicken or garlic on the veg) however this was dealt with promptly and served fresh and properly seasoned. The party thoroughly enjoyed the visit - we were very looked after with decent food and friendly service. Would definitely return

We again visited The Plough Inn and wasn’t disappointed. We went has a family of 7 and all had food and drinks. Service was great with friendly staff and although the pub was very busy the food was delicious, piping hot and plentiful. We will definitely be coming back.

Very dog friendly. Had a dog menu for snacks. Couple of real ales and usual other beers. Right next to canal, go over the bridge to the north to get there

Honestly don’t bother. Wish I had stayed at home and had a slice of toast - the place was quiet and we waited for 1hr plus for a burger?!? My pet tortoise could have moved quicker. Trying to get a pint was like queuing in the cast of shameless and waiting 15 min for a pint added insult to injury!! Apparently this is normal? Do your self a favour and nip to the Festival Inn just up the road or buy a good book and get yourself under the duvet with a hot chocolate, for the night! you would be more satisfied . Honestly I’ve seen more life in a tramps vest- come here if you dare, but be prepared to be very disappointed! Btw, the burger arrived via snail mail, and I definitely wished I opted for the slice of toast! Treat your self, drive past and be thankful that you never pulled in.

The table booking via the app was easy. When we arrived we were shown to the table by a pleasant, friendly lady. Orders were taken promptly and the service was great. The food came out very quickly and was piping hot. The pub atmosphere was very nice. So overall a very satisfied family.

The front of house staff were great but having fought with the damn app for a second time I'll be ordering at the bar in future. I can use them, Wether spoons one never gives me an problem. It's not me. The specials don't appear on it either so having spent ages compiling the order..... Put a bloody note on the specials sheet. Food took ages too arrive. I'd debate chargrilled and say burnt. No sour cream with fajitas but the kitchen didn't tell staff. It's supposed to arrive sizzling, it's a sizzling meal. Less effort couldn't have been put into the preparation of the lettuce or avocado. The two tikkas were totally different sizes and one was much darker and skinned over. It wasn't that busy, the kitchen was clearly struggling. I will admit the meals are cheap. However, it's dropped from my list of go to family meal pubs
