A really tasty meal I highly recommend you order the food you want in advance of your visit to make sure they have what you want.

Gave it a 3 because there were no cask ales on the hand pumps

So this pub was buzzing years ago with a great crowd of punters & friend groups, sadly now it's a dirty scruffy hole full of families that allow there kids to run riot & use the space between the garden & the bar as a crèche. The staff on the whole are pretty good, generally friendly & attentive but the place is a sad run down hovel. I don't doubt the current licencee isn't trying but the owners need to inject a lot of cash & quickly. Seems to be happy with the level it's at which quite honestly isn't good enough

Had to edit this review as it has changed massively since 5 years ago when I wrote the original. Unfortunately what was once a brilliant pub is now a tatty, dirty mess. Carpets full of food, massive holes in the seating upholstery. The staff can't be faulted, they're always friendly but the rating for service takes a hit because there is one member of staff being made to do everything, quite frankly I feel sorry for them. The menu is now just a laminated piece of paper with hardly anything on it, at least on a Sunday. I hate to write reviews like this and I don't do it often but I hope this can be seen as constructive criticism as other pubs in the area unfortunately put this one to shame as it currently stands.

I’ve lived within 200m of this pub for 24 years. I’ve seen its highs and lows. Recent years are very much lows! My wife and I called in today for a quiet drink in the garden after walking the dogs. They had no ales! Nothing, zilch!! Only bottled on offer. It’s not the first time either. This pub needs some serious attention. It could be a gold mine.

Excellent friendly staff and loved the caring poster in ladies looooo about on a date, top respect to Bridge Inn, more vegan required, even a pud-pud 😃

Always been an excellent pub get served more or less straight away unless really busy great atmosphere at the weekends when did artists not sure if they still do but a ++++ all way

Absolutely terrible went for food we ended up with chips didn't have anything else

Would not recomend the food here.didnt have half what was on menu,so decided to just order off side menu,but they didnt even have any fries,so slung menu on bar and didnt even bother.my friends had scampi and chips,but they was not impressed has the chips were crunchy and scampi over done.i am sure we got the dregs that was left.even though i pre booked table for us,for 2.30. If anyone is thinking of going there i would think again.

I was treating my friends as a thank you for doing my flat up and I was very disappointed with the menu as there was nothing on there nobody wanted we will not be coming again

I hadn't been here for over 20 years until my son invited me over for a night out, a meal, play some pool and darts. Now I just love going back to enjoy a night of great food, company and too relax with the lads. Absolutely fabulous night every time, Lee & Louise are great hosts, William the chef who cooks our food delivers every time, all this complimented by the excellent service, by Exza and the other staff members who are always polite and professional making for a friendly, welcoming experience. They have a variety of activities, pool, darts, karaoke, a great Wednesday pool night where all comers are welcome. You can listen to music, watch the match, play one of the games machines or if you have skills knock a few bars out on the piano, or simply enjoy the atmosphere of a great pub while having a few laughs with the locals. They are pet friendly which I think is great, seriously well worth a visit, might even see you in there sometime.

Nice food and a friendly atmosphere

Friendly bar staff, perfectly poured Guinness, awful food. Overcooked oven chips, rock hard mushy peas and tiny portion of fish all for £14. It would have been a rip off at half the price.

Great pub, the staff are excellent and the food it great value pub grub. The beer garden is perfect for a sunny day with the family. Louise and the team really do go above and beyond for the local community. 100% recommended checking out their upcoming events and heading down to support!

Christmas dinner with 10+ friends. Lovely food, fantastic value for money and they weren't playing Christmas songs! Winner all round.

We often pop here over the weekend. Staff are lovely and really attentive friendly and helpful. Food is great and they have a good selection of bottled beers at reasonable prices. Tonight we went for food ..absolutely fabulous couldn't fault it. Only gripe are the customers who use the pub as a creche and let their kids do exactly as they wish screaming shouting kicking and banging on the tables throwing beer mats around and destroying the menus. If this wasn't enough they were chucking bottles of pop around right next to our table. I ended up telling them to stop and move away as no parents could be seen !! At one point one if the parents did come over (was sitting away from them ) and promptly told them to stop messing around or someone will tell them off ! ????? Try telling your own kids to behave ! Absolutely spoilt my evening!

The Bridge Inn is always a welcoming warm friendly place to visit. It is worth the trip just for a coffee.

Fireworks display was terrible and dangerous. Fireworks landing in the crowd and exploding.

Atmosphere is fine, eating area could do with a freshen up but food was lovely. Would definitely go again.

Nice place. Food was good, at a price you'd expect. Pedigree beer was nice. Service was quick even though it was relatively busy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only criticism was that, I had the scampi, and it was the size of a Childs portion. 👍

Nice, large garden suitable for families

A very nice place, but the food and beverage are quite expensive, the service has just been taken over, so hopefully it will get better.

Ordered a mixed grill which was good except the rump was 70% fat. Wife didnt enjoy the chicken pie and left most of it. Spent most of the visit wafting flies away as seemed to be alot of them inside. Staff pleasant enough.

Good pub, good food with a big garden and decent beer

Decided to come here for my 1 year wedding anniversary as we had just brought a house round the corner, interior wasn't nice at all, ripped sofas/chairs everywhere, we still thought we would give it a shot as some of the run down pubs we've been too end up being amazing with food.... That wasn't really the case here, pie was over done so could only eat the top bit of the pastry as round the outside was solid, chips was nice, burger was okay for the price had better in other pubs. Overall....I would definitely use this as a local last minute meal idea but not really for a planned meal out.

Excellent menu. Tried a few meals now on different visits and we all enjoyed each one. Consistent, value for money, friendly staff and quick service. Kids love running about in the garden. Will return and recommend with ease.

Good for a quick meal, friendly staff and good beer. The portion size on the resotto was a little on the light side for the price.

This may seam as the same hold,But the meals are great I had the pulled beef burger well worth the money and the staff great more so the girl that came on shift always making sure we had what we needed. Keep it up 🙏

A family festive meal was very good. Service great and couldn't have been more helpful. Meals not 'out of a box' as is the feeling of some pub meals. Staff had worked to prepare the meal - and it showed in a good way.

Stopped in to watch the football on the way home doen south. Beer was delicious and got a free chip butty at half time!

Just experienced a first class Christmas meal. Very often pub Christmas meals are of poor quality. But not this one it was excellent quality served by a very pleasant assistant manager.

We went at lunch time which was quiet. The person that served us was nice, the pub was nice enough but the food wasn't anything special. Worth a visit but not somewhere where I would go frequently.

Had a lovely relaxing Sunday lunch here today after not visiting for a while, the staff are lovely and friendly and the Sunday dinner was tasty, we will be returning soon.

We went for our mums 80th birthday last week most of the meals were decent but birthday girl got a plat full of water off undrained vegetables, the “ homemade” shortcrust beef and ale pie was puff pastry topped and any shortcrust there may have been on the bottom was immediately ruined by the lack of straining of the veg, we had to get her to drain her plate into the gravy jug! Cajun chicken was rather over seasoned and chicken strips that we had ordered failed to come out at all! Only when we went and reminded them by which time the kitchen had about shut- closes at 8pm we spent a good amount of money there And went there for a change from eaton farm think we’ll be back at our usual from now on.

Outside looked good inside left me thinking why bother. Poor beer selection, bit dower

Lovely food, but we ordered starters off the starters menu and main meals. Unfortunately, they all came together, because I didn't specify I wanted my starters as a starter!! Never been to this pub before and not a local. So we didn't know local custom and practice. I would encourage all staff to check with their customers first. Apart from that a lovely meal

sorry to say it wasn't the best..possibly the worst g n t served in a half pint glass..shame because the staff were very nice..prices were what I would expect from a much better establishment..no sign of a slice of citrus fruit...

A local pub, good atmosphere when we went with a bar game beng held as jubilee weekend. The food was ok, not a great choice, but this pub is, as mentioned, more of a local pub. However we were made welcome. Ladies toilet clean enough, however not one cubicle had toilet paper in. Not the best!

Our return trip for Sunday Lunch was just as enjoyable as our first. Staff treated us as valued customers, despite us only going once before. The food was beautiful and well priced.

Needs better kids menu. Good looking family pub with great outdoor space for kids. If they want more families to visit then the menu needs updating

It's OK, all friendly enough but not the greatest choice of beers, in my opinion.

Haven't been back to The Bridge for a while as moved away. Pub very quiet for a Friday night. Food a bit disappointing compared to what it used to be.

Very limited draft ales only had 1 which ran out 2nd pint was cloudy so returned it without trying

Had a really nice meal, husband not happy with his beer but landlady very apologetic & swapped for alternative. Whole pub has had a good fettling so no more grubby seats & carpet. Will definitely go again

Usual pub fare, but well cooked. Was very quiet when we arrived, but it soon filled up. The queue was very long when we'd finished our dinner and that stopped us from ordering dessert.. More bar staff would be useful. All in all a pleasant visit. We'll come again.

Went for a meal, group of 8. We didn't get all our meals together, one being served quite some time after the others. The tables in the garden were disgusting, covered in bird poo so clearly not cleaned regularly. Food was ok and the staff were friendly.

Popped in yesterday and had a couple of drinks in the beer garden. All Covid rules followed, quick service aswell. It's under new management, and the landlady and staff were great, service with a smile. 10/10 for the edible straws, I never knew they were a thing. 👌

Long time ago it was great and was better than the Plough we had gone to, before realising the Bridge Inn. However! A while ago the standards dropped sharply along with some drinks disappeared from the bar. Some of the customer service from managing staff disappeared.
