The best restaurants in East Lindsey East Midlands

Whenever we visit Horncastle we end up here but the food and service has become so erratic it's time to explore other venues. We took a table half an hour before close and ordered poached eggs on toast. When a waitress audibly sighs it doesn't bode well. The eggs were served workhouse style in a pool of vinegar water and runny yolk with soggy cheap Sunblest white on the side. The hurried service continued when the waitress, noticing my wife's foray to the gifts upstairs, asked about her whereabouts before studying her watch. The 'chef' has always been taciturn but the food and service has previously compensated. Sadly, it has become merely 'good in parts'.

Hidden away a little but well worth finding. I can honestly say that this was the best breakfast I have ever eaten in a Café. Eggs cooked perfect, Mushrooms well done, Sausage cooked thoroughly and Bacon as I like it. even threw in a Fried Bread as I don't like Black Pudding! congratulations guys, see you soon.

Stayed in kenwick ordered curry sauce, cod and chips twice was lovely, would use again. Also delivery was quick and driver was really polite

We stayed for one night last week before a week in a caravan. The food was lovely, very friendly staff and everywhere was very clean.

Excellent chips worth a visit Went two weekends in a row and the chips were consistently good. Had Cod to takeaway on the first visit and it was very nice. Had the Spam fritter to eat in on the second visit.

Called to eat this year to find it is the middle of being demolished, inflatable bar at the rear at present, could not get answer to if it will be rebuilt, it was a spit and sawdust place but the roasts and other food was good, just hope they do put in a new pub with a very similar menu etc, time will tell.

We have just been for Sunday lunch as I had recommended Julie's Sunday lunches from previous experience. The food did not disappoint, my friends small lamb came out and you would need a hearty appetite for the small. My friend and my regular beef came and same appetite required. Superb presentation and excellent service. The homemade gravy a meal in itself and the beef cut like butter. Highly recommended but do book in advance. 10 out of 10 and dog friendly and if you can manage a walk after lunch there are walks around the estate.

Avoid. No table check hair on plate cold jacket potato dirty cup of hot water.. When I told a staff member they thanked me for my feed back. Why I didn't ask for my money back I don't know. Terrible

Booked a table for Saturday at 7 pm arrived a bit early to find the place shut, several other couples also turned up but still Henry’s remained closed, no contact or reason given for the place being closed, very disappointed, will not be going back.

A great little bar. Good beer and an excellent selection of alcoholic drinks as well as coffee and cake. Great staff, friendly welcome and good atmosphere for a chat or to chill on a street table.

The best fish and chips ever, friendly and very helpful people. Nothing is too much trouble. Our grandson can’t wait to go back.

Absolutely tasteless spiceless food. Wouldn't bother unless you like raw veg & chiiless meals. Will not return

The large donner really hit the spot!! Perfect. I also tried some of their spicy chips - I'll be back to get some as they are fantastic.
