Absolutely tasteless spiceless food. Wouldn't bother unless you like raw veg & chiiless meals. Will not return

Ordered chicken curry and chips and beef curry and chips and large curry sauce. The meal was awful, the chips hard and the curry sauce watery and greasy. Expensive takeaway when most of it ended in the bin! Will not be ordering here again.

2 main dishes of Kung Po chicken and beef with green peppers in oyster sauce were very disappointing. The Kung Po chicken seemed mainly to be made up of water chestnuts/bamboo and there was none of the sweet/sour/spice you expect from the sauce, didn’t really taste of anything! The beef in the other dish was extremely chewy and again, could barely taste the garlic or oyster sauce. The chips and noodles were both good but you can’t really get them wrong.

This establishment gives a speedy service but unforunately the vegetables seemed a bit undercooked. The spring rolls seemed greasy and the sweet-and-sour sauce rather thin. The price was very reasonable.

Shocking excuse for a vegetarian meal. Vegetarian stir fried vegetables consisted of a takeaway container full of bamboo shoots and water chestnuts apart from approximately one & half mushrooms some shaved carrot, propped up by some peppers. Really?! Terrible to call it a vegetarian meal. Won’t be returning.

Containers are smaller food is rubbish not as good as I expected service is poor, I wouldn't recommend

Everything which my family and I have had from here has been quite excellent. We’ve been returning here for years and this is definitely the best chinese takeaway in the town and surrounding area. The food comes out hot and is always efficient in being ready to collect. I’ve never been disappointed with this fantastic cuisine and it makes my evening when I have it. The only downside is it’s not open at lunch time.

Now the best Chinese Takeaway in Horncaslte. Good food, good price and nice variety of dishes. The staff are always friendly and phoning for pick up orders are is very straight forward. Would be great to have delivery available- but that is a picky comment, as none of the other takeaways (except pizza) offer this in Horncastle either.

While visiting family in Horncastle we used this take-away as the regular one was closed for a refurb. What a mistake. All the dishes tasted the same, the containers were only half full and had to wait for our telephoned order for an additional 20 minutes over the ½ hour we were told originally. Certainly not the best available in the town!

Not much to look at, a little take away that you could easily walk past. However, the food is tasty, freshly made and a great takeaway.

We use Golden Boy on a regular basis, the food is good value and very good. Sometimes difficult to get through on the phone, but that says it all it is always very busy.

thought I'd have a change and try this Chinese as I live closer to skeg. big mistake. undercooked chips and my salt and chilli ribs was fridge cold as if they hadn't even been cooked. definitely won't be returning..

Can't fault the taste and quality of the good but when you order a chicken meal and a beef meal I think you would expect more than 4 and 3 pieces of meat respectively in a meal for two. Plenty of tasty veg but you know I thought we would have more meat to share in the tubs. Might have to consider moving elsewhere and that would be sad. Disappointed!!

Tiny Chinese takeaway in the town centre. Waiting area could do with a lick of paint as not very inviting as you step through the door, but service was quick and food hot and absolutely delicious. This is the one we will be using from now on.

Once again we had a very acceptable meal from this quality take-away. Well done Golden Boy and keep up the good work !

Another good tasty hot meal was obtained here to start off 2017 well. After a warm welcome the Chicken + Mushroom dish plus sides of Bamboo shoots and rice were ordered then freshly cooked and provided after a short wait. Thus it remained nice and hot until ate home. All very nice and nourishing. Well Done again....!

A great little take away. Hidden away. A extensive menu with lots of choice. All cooked well and well priced

Although a Chinese take away, the menu here is really varied and includes some excellent Thai dishes. Really good value and all freshly cooked. We will keep returning and have no hesitation in recommending it.

Went for a take out for tea it was lovely will be calling again soon had curry sauce chip beef chow main and spare ribs

Have had a few takeaways. Battered chicken balls with sweet and sour sauce tastes brilliant. Seaweed and noodles and bean sprouts also.

only just discovered this little gem one or two different dishes whish is nice to find good selection on the menu

Very nice food, lovely helpful staff, easy parking. It could probably get a bit um cosy when busy, but it's the best Chinese we have found in Horncastle!

This is a very efficient takeaway that serves really tasty food. We ordered some food last week when we'd been travelling with friends and didn't want to cook. The portions were generous and it was served piping hot. Would definitely recommend this place.

We had a meal from here last Sunday(1st) and it was very tasty. We ordered a set meal for 4 at a cost of 36 pounds. Everything tasted great apart from the spring rolls which had no seasoning in them at all. The only downside no prawn crackers, at that price for a set meal they should have come free.

Once again Golden Boy comes up trumps with tasty hot authentic food and speedy service. Really good portions and not too heavy on the wallet either - would certainly recommend this take-away!

During our weekend visit to Woodhall Spa we popped out for a drive and ended up in Horncastle.We found this whilst looking for a kebab shop.We ordered 3 chow meins,2 portions of chips and a large chicken curry with boiled rice....all were tasty however a little too big.......my dogs have had wind all day today!!Great food and good service too.

This tremendous takeaway was discovered in the corner of the Market Place, while waiting for the hourly bus service to Lincoln.A nice fresh hot filling Sweet & Sour Pork balls with Egg Fried Rice was ordered, and obtained promptly accompanied by a large bulging bag of tasty and crispy prawn crackers …

Nice polite prompt service of good hot fresh Oriental style take-away food with a smile. Chicken & Mushroom, Bamboo Shoots & Water Chestnuts, with Egg Fried Rice & Prawn Crackers… mmmmm…!!!! I'll be going back for some more soon...
