Shanghai Take-Away Chinese Food in East Lindsey

Greeted with silence by a face that looked like it wanted us to go away. Food was hands down the worst meal that I remember eating. I had the mixed starter, the Won tons were just pastry with no filling, the rest of the food was dry and felt like it had been sitting under lights for hours. My partner had duck chow mein and was instantly sick. She said it tastes like they ran out of soy sauce so used bisto granules instead. The server smiled at us as we were leaving but later we realised that she was smiling because she had just handed us a bag of leftovers in exchange for £20. Seaweed was passable though.

Good food, fair sized portions and mainly fairly priced. I say this as I ordered a large fried rice which was over £5 but it was definitely not worth that, it was just the little deeper tub and I was expecting significantly bigger (same size tub as used for a chow mein) for the price. Good prawn crackers but these have to be paid for whereas where I live you usually get these free.

Best Chinese in Ingoldmells. They do a set menu during the day to die for! It really is worth going. Defo recommend 👌 Its always on my todo list when we go to Skegness.........

Not bad. Reasonably priced. Decent portions. 3/5 for warmth but did travel around the 10 minutes to collect ** of note “” Don’t accept card Don’t accept phone orders

Had a takeaway tonight and it was amazing. It was the lunch deal 1pm to 6pm so I was expecting too much but wow food was plentiful and tasted great. Can not wait to return

Had it not been for no free prawn crackers, I’d have probably rated it higher, but considering it cost me £16.70 for two meals (with chips), I thought £2 for prawn crackers when we only nibble on a few was quite stingy. I went to collect and I did notice that they do lunch time specials up until 6pm and these did look to be good value for money. Sadly for us, Chinese is an evening treat rather than a mid-day snack. I liked that you could see into the kitchen which was clean. Portions were good for the price and we would go again.

I always make a point of going here when I'm in ingoldmells, which is usually 2 or 3 times a year. We try to go early afternoon, and have something off the lunchtime specials. Quick, friendly service, excellent prices, and fantastic food. Can't wait to go again!

Not bad at all. Standard little Chinese but food was nice enough. This isn't a proper restaurant with sit down service, no toilet, etc. But worth a look

Excellent quality, ordered duck with peppers in black bean sauce, good portion, very tasty and just the right amount spice most takeaways have massive chunks of green peppers this place had all colour peppers smaller and perfectly cooked will be returning when we are back this way again

Tastes very Smokey, almost like I can taste what was cooked beforehand.... burnt pieces didn’t want to eat anymore. Not very good for £4.70 ☹️

Ordered a takeaway for 6 people with a variety of dishes. All were extremely tasty, decent portions and the only complaint was that the beef and black bean wasn’t spicy enough! Arrived on time and still hot! Would recommend :)

Visited here plenty tables but not allowed to sit at them with a meal takeaway only thought perhaps this was an issue due to time last year when we visited however went in at 530pm and told takeaway only although people sitting at tables with food so felt quite annoyed at this and didn't use decided to use the little one at fantasy Island although takeaway felt annoyed at this establishment for the refusal to allow us to sit

We went here for a takeaway meal while away on a holiday, we got back to our apartment to find it was the worst Chinese we have ever had, followed by a night of no sleep, stomach cramps and hurling. Avoid at all costs 🤮🤢

great choice, cheap, fast, tasty and hot. ideal for quick lunch. highly recommended . plenty of seating, great menu choice and such a bargain

Great wee place we can fed a Chinese and found this across from fantasy Island. The weather was colder so was great that u could sit in. Especially with the kids get a bit heat in you . They had a menu and I think it was like 20 meals u could get from £3.80-£4.30. like beefblackbean chips and rice. Or sweet and sour nice and chips. Great value for money for 5 meals extra chips and portion of curry sauce we paid £24. The meals were great and we'll worth the money . And we all had leftovers to take home with us. Will defo go back on my next visit.

Went here again with my grand-daughter last month whilst staying for a few days. I have to say I have never been disappointed with the food or service. Very reasonably priced too. Cant wait to go again!
