On previous visits I was told that if I asked, the cook could reduce cooking time on the fish by 30 seconds and had excellent fish. On 28th June I asked for the 30 second shorter cooking time but was served with dry, overcooked revolting fish. Will not eat there again.

I don't think they cook with dripping, but if not, it tasted as good as anywhere that does. Very happy with the price of my meal, I ate in, service was fast and friendly (served by an Elf!!), and staff were very helpful with my request to have one done without batter. Can't fault this place. Thanks - will be back again in a couple of days.

It was mid afternoon when I visited The Marina and lucky for me, I was the only customer there. Very COVID compliant. Fish & Chips were really good. Lovely friendly staff and gave me advice where my husband and I could go to eat our take away and then get a lovely drink afterwards. It was like having Tourist Information and CHippy combined. Great work guys.

Lovely cod and chips. I live in Skegness but I don’t think much of fish and chip shops there as it’s always hit and miss. I prefer to drive to The Marina. Never had a bad experience there. Food always well cooked and the staff are friendly. All staff had correctly fitted masks and a one way system in place.

Just gorgeous fish and chips here. Lovely light batter, not heavy, and perfect chips. They have a big menu to choose from and very quick service. I only meant to have one fish and chip meal during my holiday but.......couldn't resist ! Definitelythe best of the ones we tried around here.Highly recommend.

On holiday last week in Chapel St Leonards and tried Marina Restaurant. Absolutely delicious fish and chips, all freshly cooked properly in beef dripping. Really nice light crispy batter on the fish- unlike the usual fare we are used to at home. Pretty comprehensive menu to choose from too.

We stopped off for fish and chips but didn't realise that the chips were cooked in beef dripping. Two of our party were vegetarian so sadly they weren't able to sample the delights of the crispy batter, pure white fish and perfectly cooked chips. Luckily we had passed a shop (New Point Stores) at the other end of the village that sold filled cobs. A great little shop with a very friendly lad serving We took our lunches up to Huttoft car terrace and although it's roughly six miles away, they were still piping hot when we arrived. So while our veggie friends tucked into their cheese and onion cobs, we enjoyed the delights of The Marina Fish & Chips along with our sea view. We will definitely be recommending it to our friends (not the veggie ones of course) and we look forward to calling in again. Very pleasant staff too.

Was spotlessly clean as well. We'll done to the new owners. Hope they keep it up. Definitely try it out. 5 star's.

This place has had a total refit and is now called Marina Fish & Chips. No longer does breakfast but there’s plenty nearby. Anyway lovely young couple run this place now and like the title says it’s amazing. Modern, bright and really pleasant staff too. Hopefully more shops/cafes nearby get a makeover of this quality as well.

Good value for the price of carvery.the area for getting your food is not very big so tends to soon get a queue for your food.could do with a upgrade of tables etc but suppose that's the reason for reasonable price food

Visited here for The carvery with my two children , who were looking forward to their meal . The food was absolutely appalling , the only edible thing was the meat ! Broccoli was old and brown , cauliflower was an odd colour the stuffing and potatoes could not even be cut ! They d been in there so long gravy loaded with salt inedible . Tables were sticky and dirty but then no wonder as we left there was a dog sitting on the top of the table next to us , let's hope none of us get ill Don t go there yr better off grabbing a bag of chips and making do

Had a lovely Christmas dinner with my friend Sandra on Tuesday this week. Although they were packed with a Christmas party. Meal was lovely we both enjoyed it. Great presentation . Staff were very helpful to find us a seat although we had to return a little later. But extremely polite and they could nt do enough for us . The plate could of been a bit bigger as it was piled up and hard to get around everything on our plates. But excellent value for money .

I have been to the Marina Restaurant 3 times this summer and each time tried something different. The Carvery is one of the cheapest I have tried and half the price of many others with no noticable drop in quality expected of a family restaurant in a seaside town. Serving many people it is advisable to get there early for a lunchtime sitting. A nice touch is the very quiet upstairs plus a balcony and downstairs outside eating area as well as inside. Plenty of room and lots of choices for busy families. The staff really make this a joy to go to for lunch, they are forever busy seeing to lunch and customers requests, so far I have not tried it in the evening so cannot comment about the suitability for families with younger children. I went with my wife and was relaxed and well looked after each time. Reasonable freshly cooked food at reasonable prices.

Went to Chapel St Leonards. Needed somewhere to go for dinner with kids. I had a fantastic freshly cooked breakfast. Kids had kids meals with icecream and drink. Food was excellent. Not a bit was left by anyone. The service was nothing short of outstanding. Friendly and efficient. Spot on with the kids who were made to feel at home as we were. Don't remember receiving better service anywhere. How seaside restaurants should be. We were all very impressed. Well Done!

I've lived in chapel all of my life came in here many times usually always nice food, but on this occasion I went in with my partner and ordered my drink a lemonade with ice and when they brought it out it was crumbs and sprinkles in it, my partner sent it back and the owner was in the back saying doesn't she no it's only sugar! Which it isn't I'm allergic to it as I have coeliac! So I was left sat there uncomfortable, 2nd time I asked for a normal coke and they bought diet I was 8 months pregnant at this time and felt like they we're just being horrible as they charged me for the extra coke when I asked them to change it because it was wrong! Then I said can I have chips and bacon she said I don't do chips till 11 o'clock, it was 10 to!! So I said I'd wait and she went in a huff!! One member of staff though Michelle is lovely and welcoming! Too bad the rest aren't!

This is one of those cafe's where you feel at home as soon as you walk through the door, very friendly staff and local customers made us feel very welcome. Frank the owner is a very nice man who could not do enough to help and some advice we received from a couple who work on the caravan site we stayed on was invaluable. We will come back again, thank you all.

Well I was full of high hopes looking at the menu outside and really fancying a roast dinner I went in.I sat down and was immediatly snarled at by a young member of staff which I did not appreciate. About 15 mins later I was eventualy served by a nice young man and told that as I wanted to eat I had to move as these chairs were for coffee only. So I moved from a nice comfortable seat to a less than comfortable one where I waited ages for my food to arrive.Well the food was ok I suppose. The meat was nice bar the one part that was very overcooked. The veg was to die for however I have never seen so much veg on a plate in a cafe in my life. Riddiculous how little meat and yorkshire pudding you got in comparison to the amount of veg that was piled high and a tiny portion of gravy.Pudding was better although there was no where near enough custard.I was really disappointed particularly, bar the young man, by the attitude of the staff who seemed to think of me as an inconvience as opposed to a paying customer!

Visit to the seaside wanted fish and chips, as I'm gluten free I usually struggle. Not here have gluten free on the menu, also curry sauce. We both had regular fish and chips, mine was wrapped separately from husbands as he had normal.Great portions glad we didn't go for the large.

Had a couple of roasts today which came with free desserts. Meal was lovely, fresh, hot, just what you expect. We was really happy with that.....but....half an hour after leaving we realised we had left a bag behind. Money, cards, car keys, medication, all stuff hard to replace when on holiday. We returned to the Windsor and the lady who was serving, cleaning etc said she saw the bag as soon as we left, so put it safe behind the counter. Panic over. We can't thank you enough xxx

Can't begin to say how bad this pub was, miserable landlady and landlord and the worst food I have ever not eaten. I say not eaten as we didn't get through even a quarter of the plate of awful food we were offered. My husband said the beer was okay but please don't bother with the food it REALLY ISNT WORTH IT.

We went specifically to this venue for breakfast. We ordered different breakfasts and made some changes to one of them with the helpful counter staff. The tea in the tea pot was cold and we took it back for a replacement hot tea pot. The breakfast was brought to us by a member of staff who did not smile or speak. Having ordered extra well done bacon we were surprised to note that it certainly hadn't been even well done. The plates were cold and so was half of the breakfast, the rest of it cooling rapidly. The toast and prepacked butter were placed on the top of the breakfast and we had to use our fingers to try and get them off the top, even though there was nowhere to put them (have they never heard of side plates)? All in all, very poor. Customer care is clearly not a priority.

Visited here yesterday as we have done many times previously and i was on my VERY SMALL electric scooter (ES). It was quite busy but not full as it is fairly small inside. Myself and my scooter took up the same amount of sitting on the chair as i was situated so i didn't need to use their chair and if on a large bike this would not have been possible. However a young girl asked if i could leave my ES outside and walk in which i could not as not able to do so. I replied we have been in there previously and had never been an issue but she said the couldn't allow it when they were busy. I would not have gone in if i was going to cause an issue or restrict any of the pathways and so i felt i had to leave, which we did. However there was 3 tables occupied by approx 12 men who were blocking pathways and not eating anything and were loudly talking to each other across the tables who were who were quite clearly obstructive but seemingly that was ok !!! I am disgusted in this day and age that such discrimination persists and i will not use them again. Perhaps they need to add a sign to the windows stating people with mobility aids would not be allowed in busy periods. Totally Disgusted. LInda Halls
