the Lumley in East Lindsey

Nipped in here to try to catch the football (Forest v Fulham). We asked the barman if he could put it on to which he replied “possibly”. Seeing as we’d been told by a barmaid earlier in the day that it would be on, we just had to ask and it being 10 minutes to kick off, I found it quite strange that he couldn’t give us a definite answer. We weren’t going to buy drinks and hang about just in case though! A bit of a shame as we quite like the place but we went to Churchill’s down the road who were much more accommodating.

Nice pub..& polite staff..but there is some dodgy people hanging around inside the pub..people moving around with hood up..weird

Charge 2 different prices for alcohol. Local prices and tourism prices. Apart from that a nice place to have a pint. DOES NOT DO FOOD

Nice bar called for a quick drink in Skegness over a long weekend at butlins but had a run out to town nice staff hood atmosphere

It's arguably the best pub in Skegness at the moment great music venue especially Saturday afternoons, only wish they could sort the sport out on the TVs, they don't seem to have a staff member that understands the importance of the live football on a Saturday /Sunday wouldn't it be wonderful if they had a dedicated member of staff who understood how to work the TVs and please most of us regular customers..

It is a great venue. I have only been two times, both on a Saturday. It was extremely busy, In fact, it was mobbed. The staff are organised, professional, and enthusiastic. The atmosphere was electric, with great sounds and a cheerful audience. The price of ale is pleasable, I would not cross the road to the pub OPPOSITE.Very clean and cosy, toilet areas are clean and checked properly. I have no idea about food as I am a fat boy who prefers a drink to SCOFFING. Dogs welcome. The outside seating areas are the best in SKEG. FAMILIES ARE MADE WELCOME. It would be my local if possible. Visitors are also made very welcome, support this TOP VENUE.

A bit disappointed, in the summer we sat outside and the atmosphere was excellent, last week i actually went in and maybe I was expecting the same sort of atmosphere but mid afternoon there were a lot of people who clearly had been drinking all day, the language was not very good, they don’t serve food which considering the size of the place surprised me. There was nothing wrong with the decor plenty of televisions, pet friendly and children friendly, need to try again, maybe I was expecting to much

Moved to Skegness a few months ago and the Lumley is definitely the best pub in Skegness. A proper pub!

Absolutely fantastic pub, staff are very efficient. It's a busy place but you never have to wait long, we used to end the night in wetherspoons but the lumley is cheaper and much much cheaper !!!

Very poor, Day trip out from West Midlands. Thought I would have a beer in here, got turned away regulars only. What the. Dissatisfied. Thought pubs were looking for custom.

Straight opposite the train station so should be everyone's first port of call , nice staff, big garden and live bands, decent pub .

Since I last commented on the Lumley, it has been taken over and had a referb. The kitchen is being redone and will I hope cater for coeliacs. I recommend a beer if you are in town.

Didn't eat here - but had a few drinks. Music was great and not too loud. Bar maid was really friendly aswell. We will return if in the area.

Decent drink, decent prices, decent atmosphere.

Visited on a Saturday evening. Our visit was going great until a drunken couple started talking to us He was from Swadlincote, she was from Manchester. In my opinion they were after trouble. So because of this it cut short our decent visit. Drinks were cheap when we went in. Will visit again if the drunks aren't in!!

This is a lovely bar very clean environment we went six nights out of seven while staying in skegness we will definitely be visiting this establishment next time we're in skegness and will also try the food once they start serving food the drinks prices were really good well worth a visit .

The larger was horrible and so was the beer

We used to have a few drinks here but never been in after it was taken over, My partner said let's try going in as there was seats outside so we did. Before 6 we got told kids arnt allowed in. I dont think there kid friendly, before they used to let kids in. Many times we would go in have a few drinks and stay and have some food. I dont think we will be going in anymore its a shame we used to like it in there.

Keep away from this pub if you have children went into the beer garden for a drink with family and my 5 year old Grandson. My Grandson was playing like any other child would baring in mind we was the only people in the garden. About hour in to it after my grandson had been sat with us on the bench playing on phone a male worker came over and collected glasses and asked us to not let kids run around incase they hurt themselves? Never heard any thing so pathetic in my life epically in a garden. Obviously don't like children in there. Been coming to Skegness since I was a child and always visited this pub and never had this problem will not be coming here again after this.

A large pub with a giant beer garden. The prices for drinks are cheap. The beer garden is brilliant when the sun is shining and have regular live bands on too.

Great pint at very competitive prices. Didn't have any food so can't comment on that.

We came to this pub on the 14th of June 2023 and I must say the beer here is absolutely first class they do real ail which is brilliant. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the pub is fully accessible to wheelchair users. The beer garden is excellent and I love this place Also to get into the beer garden. You go into a metal gate which is on the roadside just opposite Wetherspoons. This is the best place in town do not go to the three monkeys. It’s far far better here. Also just to make you aware I’m not affiliated to either of these places but just a customer who likes to give a fair and honest review.

Wr had planned a night around skeg on monday evening. However we never made it out of the lumbley. Staff were very friendly as soon as we got to the bar. Drinks were cheap, havent had change from a tenner for 3 drinks for ages. Like i say staff were so friendly we stayed all night.. we then decided to visit again on wednesday., pleased we did the cheap beer and also the massive choice of football that was shown. Very impressed.

We was made to feel welcome we only came in for a guick pint but stopped all night lovely staff we came in as holiday makers but left as friends thank you for a great night

Lovely referb, however totally different environment to how it used to be. Staff seem stressed, no laughter, no live music, no food. Whenever we came to Skegness our weekend would be spent at the lumley enjoying the atmosphere and the live music and the lovely company of the staff. Do they realise it’s a seaside town and in the winter you need entertainment and food to keep the locals coming in. Was introduced to the new land lady and her reply was “hello sorry I’m to busy” and she disappears into the bag never to be seen again, leaving bar staff low on help and zero support, when obviously they are new to working in bar work and just needed that extra bit of help. As a new land lady I would expect a happy face and some communication towards her new clientele. The presents of door staff on the doors put you on the back foot before you even walk in. Let’s hope the lumley can return to the happy, busy bar it used to be!

Absolutely angry ,as a local resident been going to the lumley with my toy poodle every weekend without fail 52 weeks a year, go in tonight and told my dog isn't allowed in after 6 , we are not tourists and contribute to your pub all year round , disrespectful to locals who have dogs ,won't be attending again , the lady at the door who knows us was embarrassed to ,shame on you Show less

Visited On Friday decor needs some TLC dirty seating, chairs looked like ready for tip- ripped dirty seats & sticky table. Food was very average. Lasagne more pasta than meat, no sauce just mince. Table spoonful of peas. Had better meals. Would not revisit. Staff friendly just establishment

Best Sunday carvery ever. Staff are all friendly, loads of choices of veg with the meat and by far the best cauliflower cheese ever.

I would avoid this pub at all costs. I came here with family for a meal food was terrible. Chips and pie pastry was undercooked most importantly my chicken wings come and they was raw super undercooked. Staff was polite about the situation but the food isn’t worth it.

We had a lovely meal recently during our wedding anniversary break..the staff were lovely as were the managers.lovely meal and lovely place..but some of the seating areas could do with a bit of TLC caused by wear and tire..but still a nice place to visit and have a meal.

We missed the carvery! (4pm closes) So after a couple of calls we decided to have the standard menu, Ordered food was quickly served to us Portions where on the small side but it was edible for your standard pub food, we sat in the...

Food was good, we had a sunday carvery which was good value for money. Could of done with roast potatoes being abit less crisp seemed like they had been in oven cooked once then warmed up again in oven. The meats were lovely i had beef and turkey turkey was lovely and moist.

Great pub, with gorgeous food. The building looks very traditional old building. Possibly always a pub, but I got old converted train station vibes? I'd only be guessing, but worth a visit regardless.

Went in for breakfast, fast service and tasty food. Why wouldn't you have cider with breaky!? Well worth it if you want a not greasy breakfast in skeg, dog friendly as well which as ever was a big tick

Arrived approximately 17.00hrs there were about 10 people in,ordered food and drinks which took them about 10 mins to sort out not good. Food eventually over one hour later with no explanation and was one of the worst meals I have ever had so won't...

Great local pub really close to the station. Arrived here whilst sheltering from the cold weather we experienced on and off during our stay in Skegness. Friendly service and the price of beer was very good for the area only slightly more expensive than the Spoons across the road. However they do have a log burner which certainly took the chill off.
