Bucket and Spade Cafe in East Lindsey

Lovely views of the beach and sea. Food was alright, it does get a bit cold sat at the top there especially as there is no indoor seating. Nice spot to stop for a drink while walking along the front

A little gem of a place! The coffee is good, the food is great - best bacon I’ve ever had in a cafe - the people are super friendly. We are locals and go there as often as we can.

Terrible service, was greeted with a mardy sour faced woman, whom clearly wasn’t happy working there. We just wanted a coffee but that was too much effort. The only thing good about the coffee was it was hot. Not be returning there. Shame as it’s a nice spot.

What an unpleasant place to go..staff are awful , very rude , coffee was awful (if you can call it coffee) Never again . !! They need to learn some customer service skills !

Great for our lunchtimes on the beach. Nice choice of items on the menu, delicious cake and friendly service.

I was out walking with my dog on holiday in the area. We stopped for a coffee and bacon bap. Great hot coffee and a tasty bacon bap. Being early spring easy to get a table.

In need of a cup of tea after our walk from Sutton on Sea and came across this little gem. Lovely gentleman took our order. My daughter ordered a sausage and egg sandwich, we all had hot drinks and I had a piece of granola. Could not fault our food. Tables well spaced outside. Would certainly visit again.

Here is must go. The food is freshly cooked. Other snacks, drinks and yummy ice creams to choose from. Lovely welcome and snack food hot and tasty - great place to relax and watch the waves. The hot chocolate was creamy and hot. All round a great place to relax and stop off along the Lincs coast walk.

We visited about a week ago with the kids and they had the kids meal whilst me and the husband had burgers and chips; they were cooked to perfection and you can tell they take very good care of what they are serving. The cafe in general is very hygienic and the staff are all very polite, including the young girls and boy. My order was taken, cooked and served efficiently and we thoroughly enjoyed it! The place is very dog friendly which we though was wonderful for those walking their dog along the beach.

Went to this cafe 11th August for a sandwich,I asked if it was possible to have brown bread was told yes the man behind the counter said it would be seeded,that's fine I said ,the girl at the counter wrote my order down,we sat outside and wasn't waiting long before another girl brought our order out ,mine in a white bap,I told her I had ordered brown to which she replied quite sullenly there's no brown ,no apology or anything and just walked off,I should have refused it really but I really couldn't be bothered after the attitude we had just come across, we just went be going there again,customer service stinks

Popped in here for breakfast,lovely staff , we had the full breakfast, it was lovely well cooked , fresh , bacon was the best I’d had in ages Will definitely go back Thank you x

We visited twice during our week's holiday, very friendly owners, tea in mugs with proper milk. Excellent bacon, wonderful chip butties (gravy too) and even Dog Ice-cream as well as various flavours for humans!Also a great selection of beach toys for kids available, didn't look as my family are too old for that but saw plenty of browsing & buying.Highly recommend this place, reasonably priced & excellent cooking. Love this cafe and since changing hands it seems to have gone from strength to strength. Great prices and always so busy. After a long journey we always head here for our first drink of the day before starting the walk to Sutton. Great to sit and look out over the sea whilst the kids can play on the beach. Great toasted tea cakes too..... nice to see the place buzzing and dogs welcomed so warmly. Also nice that you are now open more than the previous owner seemed to be... plenty of hardy folk about who always apprecaite a warm drink even when the weather is not so kind!

Absolutely, spectacular friendly environment for dogs and their hoomans! Fantastic food coffees and the best doggie and human ice cream you have ever tasted.

Went to Donna nook and stopped of at Mablethorpe to walk dog on beach stopped for a toasty and hot drink. Staff very polite and friendly food was lovely and fresh. Very good price would come back and recommend

Sat nearly all morning watching grandchildren on sand without feeling unwanted or in the way. Sausage and bacon bap lovely.

We stopped here and had a refreshing cup of tea,after a couple of hours on the beach,lovely clean premises lovely friendly staff,we had our drinks in the most delightful seaside pictured mugs,my daughter and I liked them so much we bought two of the mugs each to take home to use ,the cafe sells a few lovely nicknacks and sea shells ,a little gem of a cafe,we wished we hadn’t already eaten because the food looked and smelt delicious,children’s meals come in a bucket that can be used on the beach,a very good novel idea,give it a visit,not to be missed.

A typical English sea side cafe. Burger chips and tea were all good. Service and prices are good. Lovely location overlooking the beach and sea.

I cannot rate the service highly enough at this cafe. We visited at 4pm ish yesterday to feed the children before setting off back home. They had just turned off the cooking equipment to start closing up but fired it all back up again to cook us some food.

Mostly outside seating, but there are a couple of tables inside if weather very bad - we liked the addition of binoculars to see what we could spot out to sea! It's clean, good choice, excellent value and the lady knew all about gluten free and was able to advise us that the chips are GF - great news for us at the seaside! We would recommend this cafe, we would return! (Ps, can recommend the jacket potatoes with beans and cheese, well cooked very large and tasty cheese!)

Smashing little cafe right on the beach, good menu, catering for the whole family.

Situated directly over looking the beach you are assured of a warm welcome when visiting the Bucket & Spade. Serving freshly cooked reasonably priced cafe style food in a nice setting all goes to make your snack / lunch or whatever very enjoyable.

If you want a lovely warming milky coffee and great food, this is the café to visit. Great hosts, friendly staff, dog friendly just fabulous

We stopped by for refreshments- delicious and well priced. Food served promptly. Very clean and well kept inside, plenty of seating outside. Lovely hot chocolate and kids enjoyed their milkshakes too! Friendly staff.

If you want a basic decent meal at a decent price, you won't go far wrong at The Bucket and Spade. We popped in for a cup of tea and ended up having lunch which was well cooked and piping hot.

Nice beachfront location for an early morning coffee. Would certainly recommend a cup of Cappuccino!

Had a couple of breakfast cobs and coffees which were tasty. Had to sit inside as raining and it was a little squashed, lots of stock on the floor. Would defiantly use again and recommend.

We just stopped for a cup of tea whilst strolling along the promenade, so weren't too fussy about the quality of the premises, but the service really took the biscuit. I waited as a lady placed her order for coffee and tea, and watched ,perhaps open mouthed, as she was told to stand to one side after she had paid. I placed our order for 2 teas, and was instructed to do the same as the assistant proceeded to serve the person behind me in the queue. I stood with the first customer, exchanging raised eye brows, expecting our beverages to be brought out from a kitchen; but no, the girl assistant,seeing that there were no more customers queuing, left the counter to make our hot drinks. Eye brows were raised again as she served me first. The mugs of tea were good value at 90 pence though. I did apologise for my unintentional queue jumping.

Good food, promenade location, sit in, sit out and take away. A good selection of beach goods...balls, buckets, spades, beach games etc.

What a great find! We have been coming to this area for years but never stopped at Bucket and Spade. The people are lovely, the place is spotless and what better than sitting in the morning sun, sea glistening and eating a well done crispy bacon roll? Who needs the Coasts Brava?

Excellent value, tasty food. Tried the all day breakfast £4.95 including a cup of tea or coffee. Yummy lattes and toasted tea cakes too. Worth the extra little walk from middle of town centre.

Call here very time we are at the caravan best sandwiches in Mablethorpe. And they do a lovely cooked breakfast.

Come here every time we visit Sutton On Sea and Mablethorpe. Lovely food and drinks that are very good value. Owners have invested in extending this year to provide indoor seating for poor weather. Everything cooked fresh and very tasty. Wish the owners every success.

Visited Mablethorpe and wanted a snack. Had a lovely egg & bacon cob. Decaff tea available - essential for us as my husband had a problem with caffeine. Lovely China mugs. Friendly staff. Will definitely return. 🍴🍔🍧☕️

Popped in here for a caramel latte and pot of tea, service was very quick and coffee was lovely, decided to order a tuna roll and a salad roll, both were delightful and served with a smile, would defiantly recommend to go here and will certainly return when next in the area.

Walking on the beach early mornings means I can get a nice drink half way through my walk here as the café opens at 7am. Friendly and welcoming

Really great little café and fantastic service. The staff were great particularly the young lady on the coffee machine, wonderfully helpful, with slightly ungovernable hair.

Good range of drinks, light meals, snacks, do a very good breakfast and all with a great view, new owners are friendly, right on seafront.

Just stroll along the promenade and it is close to the lifeboat building and you will find this small but friendly business which provides fast food (hot and cold snacks), from the menu and I am sure you will find something for everyones taste even a sausage cooked for your dog. In our experience even on the days when the British weather tries to grind us down with the sea breeze you will find that the tables are set out sheltered as much as they can and if you are lucky enough not to have a pet you are able to sit inside whilst you are admiring the sea view whilst refuelling your bodies. There is also a good selection of reasonably priced beach products eg. windbreaks, buckets and spades/balls and various other things to keep the young ones occupied.
