Staff friendly, we new to the area, made us feel very welcome

Didn't have food, so haven't scored it. Cheap drinks and a great friendly atmosphere.

Delightful pub with very pleasant staff. The only downside, which isn't major, was no food. Not really an issue but would enhance the pub. Lovely overnight stay as was at Cadwell Park.

A curious place. In my opinion, the most "working class" pub in Louth. 95%+ of those people are lovely, salt of the earth, genuinely great people. They'll have a chat with you, or even a game of pool, or just leave you alone if you prefer. Unfortunately, there are a very small number of deeply unpleasant people, that you wouldn't find elsewhere. For that reason, I wouldn't go again. I even avoid walking past it where I can.

Good beers and all at a very good price

Just popped in for a quick drink on the way home, from seeing Showaddwaddy in Skegness. I have not been in this pub for many years. Loved it and will call back in next time we are in Louth. Hopefully, try a meal too. We'll worth a visit

Lovely welcoming pub ,don't do food

We popped in on a weekend away for a drink 🍸 it was our friends birthday 🎂 we were made really welcome. Drinks were very reasonable. Ended up staying all afternoon and when karaoke started they sung Happy birthday. Never been somewhere so welcoming and inclusive. Thank you so much for making our day and our friends 60th birthday 🎂 🥳

Leaking roof moved to a new bedroom asked to move landlady was not happy my bedroom was above the pub karaoke was on till 12 then she barred me

Accommodated a late check in, shower didn’t get hot, TV was the smallest thing I’ve ever seen, smaller than my IPad 😅 maybe better without, decent for the money, shame for the shower

A great place to watch the football at £2-25 a pint what could be better a great atmosphere and staff were superb polite and courteous

Not the best, a bit rough. People drinking beer at 10am who looked liked they have never done a days work! You get my drift

Basic pub. Friendly atmosphere. Pleasant service and good coffee.

Rough pub. Not a charming B&B. Stayed 2 nights. Both nights had very loud karaoke nights right beneath our room until after midnight. No-one told us this when we booked. No breakfast service.

Very nice little pub friendly staff. Dog friendly. Beer garden at the back.. can't comment on the food as we've not eaten there yet.

Great location. Clean and spacious room including a good sized en-suite. Pleasant and quiet stay. Suggest another chair be handy with being twin accommodation.

Ok but be aware the bar is immediately under the rooms 3 & 4 and the noise does carry. That said all was clean and tidy so if it's a bed your looking for it provides that.

Lovely little pub with a great atmosphere

Warm, welcoming & dog friendly pub with a roaring fire, great range of quality hand pulled real ales on tap & a superb & varied menu! Had a cracking well pulled pint of Batemans Festive ale ‘Rosey Nosey’ to start me off. Eventually due to the huge range on offer and the specials board, went for the Steak & Ale pie with chunky chips & garden peas. It came in a pot with a puff pastry top. The gravy was thick, rich and flavoursome and there were plentiful chunks of beef being perfectly cooked, tender & gorgeous. Without doubt one of the top 5 pies I’ve ever eaten and I’ve eaten some pies I can tell you! Would certainly recommend this place and so giving it 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Rude rude rude RUDE staff. I am absolutely gobsmacked by how I have been treat. Never have I ever seen such poor customer service. Intimidating environment. Blonde lady who seems like the manager spoke to me and my friends like absolute dirt, honestly left me speechless. Would advise everyone to stay away from this place.

Possibly the worst Pub in Britain. If I could give 0 stars I would. It starts with the smell that greets you from the door, throughly unpleasant. Like stale p*ss. It gets better. The blonde woman (who I’m presuming is the owner or manager) has a very bad attitude. Possibly the rudest and apathetic person I’ve ever came across. She made my friends and I feel very uncomfortable and intimidated by getting in our faces and refusing to let us leave unless we left a donation in the charity box - and we had no cash. She told us not to return which believe me, we will never. Absolutely gobsmacked. Wouldn’t recommend.

A great atmosphere awaits a weary traveller. A fine select of drinks and a complimentary collection of locals add some people watching fun. The Bullsh1t Corner for the elite of the drinkers guild who frequent this high street boozer. Pool table and other distractions, support a step back in time to a place that should never change. Loved it but couldn't stay for food as there didn't appear to be any on offer and we didn't ask. A great break between shops.

Nice central point to stay where you can venture out as its pretty much in the center.

Stayed one night for £60 bed and no b.large, basic but comfortable twin room with en suite. Parking accessed round back. ( Twixt pub and back of the library.) Friendly staff. Doom Bar and Abbot Ale on sale. Very quiet room once Karaoke finished.

Both my Husband and myself, experienced a Brilliant evening,night last night. Thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment, friendly atmosphere and the drinks went down well too. Our room was, the family one, lovely and clean, plenty of facilities, the only slight criticism is the shower was a bit slow, but otherwise everything was great.

Nice little place to stay for a quick stop over 🙂, nice bar and friendly staff so can't complain 😉 x

Well dear reader if you visit the market town of Louth please have an hour or so in this lovely local pub an old fashion local cheap beer well look after where the regulars go to meet and watch the match and put the world to rights it is also a b&b

Fantastic local Inn in the pleasant market town of Louth, Lincolnshire. Good atmosphere, great price's and B n B to boot. No longer do food but you are allowed to bring your own in. Highly recommended.

Stayed in the family room, which is huge. Double bed + single over double bunkbed. Room is warm, beds comfy, plentiful towels and toiletries. A few old marks and stains on the carpet, mirror lights in bathroom gave up and the bunkbed was quite wobbly, so a few niggles that need maintenance. Hot water is slow, but its clearly a very old building. Staff were friendly. Unfortunately no food being served which was my biggest disappointment as we were travelling with little children and it would have been convenient. It does get noisy at night upstairs as you can hear the music from the pub, but it was never unpleasant or rowdy and didn't bother us (it was actually quite nice whilst upstairs with the kids asleep whilst the others were downstairs as I didn't feel so left out). But it might bother some people.

It's a fun venue for sure. Beer is reasonably priced and their focus is on friendly fun.

The pack horse in is one of the most friendly pubs I've ever been in the lady behind the bar with the dark hair in a Bob,is brilliant nothing is too much for her,what a great place ,will deffo be visiting again.x

Its a pub. it sells booze. there weren't many people. an escape from shopping with MIL. what else can be said?

Room 1 was fairly basic but good, shower took some time to warm up. The room is above the archway /entrance and is noisy while the pub is open but I slept well.the pub has TV showing sport and a pool table. The staff and locals were welcoming.

Really nice pub with pool darts and big TV. Rooms where clean spacious modern with adjustable heating. Don't do food but you can go out and get your own and bring back to room .

I came on a day where the bar persons were dressed up, and a small barbeque happened in the garden! They looked like they were busy but having fun, had plenty of time to deal with anything we needed. I'm glad to have seen it!

You need to make yourself very visible to get served! The locals can turn up and get served 10 minutes after you arrive and you are left waiting!

Stayed overnight when visiting Louth. Room was basic but clean with a comfortable bed. Unfortunately kept awake by the karaoke till nearly midnight. Pub is a town centre drinkers pub. The mobility scooters parked outside made me smile.

Worse experience ever. Pub was full of cocaine the land lady does it and anti drugs me and my friend was horrified. Took the sharpest nearest exit. Never go there its very rough dirty and full of drugs

I had't been in The Pack Horse in a few years. It was a nice surprise, the bar staff were great, friendly atmosphere. It feels like it's turned in to a fun pub, lots going on, the Landlady has that wonderful old fashioned charm.

Nice friendly locals pub. Pleasant staff a good pint of Timmy Taylor and dog friendly. Very good 'watering hole!'
