Second time here with 6 year gap. The pub itself is lovely and it's hosts are a credit to their proffession. Mike really helpful . The bed really comfy and nice bedding and very clean. The room itself quite basic. The secondary glazing didnt close but street not busy after 8.30pm ish so not a big problem but room cold and couldn't get radiator any warmer. We ran hot water for 10 mins but still cool. No heating in bathroom so didnt shower with that and no hot water.. The main problem was the water outlet pipe is in bedroom and made noise literally al, night like it was filling up something or someone having a shower so not a great nights sleep.. We got a deal with booking.com so didnt pay a lot but wouuldnt of wanted to pay any more than we did for this particular room as not the same standard as last one we had when paid more. Having said all that it is a lovely place you get free parking right outside

Popped in for a pint on the way back home. The bar area is really cosy and has a nice feel to it. The bar staff were very welcoming and helpful. There’s a car park to the rear and also a free car park opposite the front of the pub. Nice selection of drinks available and it also has a very peaceful outdoor area to the rear of the pub. Drinks prices seem to be average for the area.

Just returned from a two night stay here. Did the job as we were staying for a friend's birthday. But I do want to point out a few things hoping it will help others thinking of booking. No breakfast although advertised as a bed & breakfast on all booking sites. So expensive at £70/£90 a night dependant upon which booking site you use. Room was just average, very small couldnt get round the bed. And only cafe in villiage didnt open on Saturday. So only morning food option is local coop or a journey into Skegness. Table covered in old spilt coffee and room was very dusty and cobwebs. Clean sheets (I did check that) Clock in square chimed every hour and we are not used to it so kept us awake most of both nights. Would have helped if this was mentioned. Although I have seen other reviews now that do mention this. So I didn't do enough of my own homework. Room right above bar entrance door so again significantly noisy, with people going out for puff & talking past midnight. I know you can expect this when using pub accomadation but in honesty it was too much, then people waiting for taxis at past midnight after the bar closed. Fire door on room corridor propped open to stop it slamming. Not sure if another visitor had done this or the owners. Beer prices very expensive in comparison to a pub down the road which had a wider selection of tap options. Good points. Cheap honest pub grub served in the evening until 7pm. Portions generous. Parking in square opposite good. Extra milk, tea & coffee for the rooms provided and left on a tray in the corridor to take to your room. Would we stay again? Not at this price when we have since looked and found cheaper better quality accommodation in same villiage. Felt like asking for a refund regarding the breakfast. Check out is leave your key in tub by residents entrance.

A decent pub. We stayed in Wainfleet for a few days so went in here for a couple of beers one night and for 10 of us to eat another night. The people there are nice, there is a good choice of beers and other drinks. The food was ok, it was not amazing but this is more of a pub than a restaurant. The portions were a good size and we managed 10 main courses, 10 puddings and a couple of drinks each for £300 which felt good value.

Me and my husband went for a meal with a friend for our silver wedding anniversary. The landlord, landlady Mick and. Linda, and all of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were shown to our table and given menus. There was a good variety of meals to suit all palates. I had chicken Royale followed by salted caramel cheesecake with cream, my husband had gammon followed by treacle sponge and custard and our friend had rump Steak all served with vegetables and chips followed by chocolate fudge cake with chocolate icecream. The meals were large and well cooked and well presented. They were really delicious and of a high standard. We would not hesitate to return for a meal again soon especially as, due to relocation to this area - nearby Wainfleet Bank, this is now our chosen local. The Woolpack also has a quiz night every Monday with bingo, 13 bingo and open the bag and it is a fun filled night. The pub is clean with a good selection of drinks including Bateman's beers from the local brewery. It also has a brilliant coffee machine with a good variety of coffees which is ideal for me as I choose to drive on most occasions. The pub is clean, cosy and nicely decorated and we always feel comfortable and at home there, especially as staff and customers are all so friendly and welcoming. Whether you are visiting, passing through or live nearby I would highly recommend the Woolpack for good food and drinks, snacks, a great atmosphere and good company.

We had little choice but to book this pub/accommodation due to a short notice birthday party. It cost £90 a night which did not include breakfast, even thought they have a restaurant service. A notice in the room says you can go 2 doors down to a cafe and get breakfast, but this is closed on a Sunday, so no help whatsoever and there is no other facility within 5 miles to get something to eat. The rooms don’t look as if they have been updated for years. There is no air conditioning and no fans in the rooms, so windows have to be opened to try and get cool air in, which is impossible on a warm humid night like we experienced. There is no toilet roll holder and the water pressure in the morning was nonexistent. I have stayed in many guest houses for less money and all with breakfast included in busier towns and cities. The pub chain that owns this, Batemans, don’t seem to have invested anything in this establishment for years. A poor showing which took the edge off meeting some of my friends for the first time in 53 years.

We were staying at riverside cottages and booked a table at the woolpack in advance for the Friday evening when we arrived. We had mentioned we had a dog with us but on arrival we were booked into the restaurant and unfortunately dogs are not allowed in there but they are in the bar. The staff were excellent and made room for us in the bar even having to move some people to the restaurant so we could have two tables. We are a family of 5 adults with three children and a baby and this made us feel welcome and looked after. They accommodated us and even when I needed to change the baby they allowed me to use a back room as it was more private than using the ladies toilet. The food was lovely, we had steak and not too expensive and big portions and the staff really nice and friendly. We even went back on the Saturday afternoon for a couple of drinks and again they were so friendly and nice. We will most probably come back to the cottages in the future so will definitely return to the woolpack. Thank you for making us feel welcome and we hope to see you again soon.

Amazing staff, lovely inside and out, fabulous location and amazing room. We were greeted by lovely and helpful staff, to find out first of all we had been upgraded rooms to a nicer room. Which was amazing, and very thankful for this. Photo’s bellow (the room was massive, as well as the bathroom) The location was amazing, we were meeting up with family who have been in the cottages just round the corner all weekend and we were just staying 1 night so it was good value for money and convenient. The pub music was going on for a little longer than I would have liked so I didn’t get to sleep till 1:30am due to this. Also just bellow our window 3 people were stood talking till early hours of the morning as well as been above a door that bangs. So for myself who is a light sleeper it did keep me awake, but my partner was fine. Overall it was an amazing stay and I would defiantly be happy to come back, the only point I would like to see to change is the door bellow room 6 window to not bang or for the bang to be dampen down. I just want to thank all the staff we came into contact with this weekend and thank you for your kindness and amazing service.

Free parking in the market square opposite of I believe they do have their own car park around the back. Having very recently stayed here and left an appropriately negative review on trip advisor, I checked the Woolpacks own website out of curiosity. I notice they promoted themselves as having wonderful reviews and clicked the link.I was very surprised to be taken to a page af largely favourable reviews about food. A quick scan through revealed nothing about accommodation, even though I had come from the pubs own accommodation page. It appear the link takes one to a separate page on trip advisor dedicated to the "hotel" restaurant. Do yourself favour and take the time to check the separate "hotel" listing for the same business. The rooms are directly above the busy bar areas, and on the night we stayed we were kept awake by a live rock band who played until midnight, followed by another hour of music from the pubs own stereo system. The noise from outside at half midnight as dozens of drunk locals departed was incredible. I won't go into full details of the awful stay here again, as I have already written a comprehensive review on the hotel page, but wanted to highlight this bizarre dual listing to poor unsuspecting potential customers!

Wainfleet is hardly noted as a 'destination', so we didn't expect too much in the way of accommodation for a almost last minute 2-night when visit to be with my recently bereaved sister-in-law. However, not only were we pleasantly surprised, but would actually suggest that this is a pub/restaurant worth taking a minor detour to for it's friendly atmosphere, comfy, if slightly cramped bedrooms, perfectly adequate home cooked food and excellent value for money.

A party of 4 of us went to the Woolpack Pub, hoping to have a wonderful dinner... What a disappointment... The food was terrible, out of the four meals we ordered 2 were terrible and the other 2 were only just edible, when we asked to speak to the chef, who apparently was outside having a cigarette, we were rudely told by the waitress that the owner was on holiday, so if we weren’t happy to come back next week and sort it out with him!! If you want a good meal, my advice is go to the chip shop down the road.......we wish we had!!!

It was so nice to get off the train and walk the hundred or so yards to the Woolpack and find it warm and welcoming, I had wondered if the decor would still be "smart and clean" because the pub trade is still on a very slow recovery and with the best will in the world no business is going to be kept if it is a drain on the whole thing but I needn't have worried the Woolpack is going well it could do with more customers but they are a thinner group than years ago.

Just had a drink, so didn't experience the food, which I'm sure is good.
