FELT ROBBED called in at dinner me and wife having looked at the menu we both decided too have soup and a sandwich £8,95 with ham or cheese didn't fancy ither but they did have turkey so we had soup and sandwich with turkey on instead of ham or cheese but instead of being charged £8.95 x 2 = £17.90 i was charged £14.40 x 2 =£28.80 for having turkey on a breadcake instead of ham or cheese i did think being charged £10.90 MORE FOR having turkey on 2 sandwich even Dick Turpin wore a mask

The bird café was very cute! We sat in the window and they had stuck feeders onto them so all the birds landed right at our table. There were several bird books on our table to help identify them. The food was very nice, we had sausage sandwiches. The atmosphere was amazing and we really liked the little farm shop and garden centre.

Top place we went to on our trip to sheffield and around. Chose it as it was dog friendly and so so glad came here. The setting was beautiful. The music chilled and relaxing. Service was excellent- thanks Oli. And the breakfast fabulous. We had smashed avocado and poached eggs on sourdough, the pancake stack with biscoff sauce you just want to keep eating, the fully loaded hot chocolate and great cappuccinos. And even the glass of water was served elegantly!! A must try place for breakfast before you tackle those hills!!

Popped in here whilst on a walk in the surrounding area for a much needed cold drink. We sat outside at a table alongside many others that were having what looked like some good food. Can't vouch for the taste as we didn't have any. Friendly staff and a good selection of food and drink available. Inside space was available but with the weather people were sitting out. It's clearly a popular venue.

One of the best fish and chip shops my partner and I have been to, after a long day of hiking it was just what we needed, we called up and the owner said he was shutting soon but would turn on the fryers again for us and make our delicious food. When we got there the gentleman couldn’t have been more helpful and the young lady behind the counter was lovely also. We got some drinks and took it back to our shepherds hut and enjoyed our cod and chips and felt very full by the end of it, we couldn’t quite finish it all, the batter was crispy and the chips were fresh wjich was nice. Thank you!

We stayed over bank holiday weekend (Sunday). We were unable to check in at the agreed 2pm time due to the room still being mopped? Staff were friendly and polite. Drinks were good value. Breakfast next day was good value as well. Only downside really was the noise from the bar area into our room. Very noisy with dogs barking and loud music and voices. We also had guests venturing down to our end of the hallway where there are only 2 room and they were loudly trying the doors to see if the room were theirs, even though they were clearly named above the doors. Overall a great location, good food and drink, polite staff and if you can handle a noisy environment (until the bar closes then this is the stop for you

Very sadly it seems the latest bad reviews are true. It's like the owners don't care or employ people who do not get training. Three things missing....service with a smile....or even a nod.....food like it used to be...great breakfasts and chip butties again....cleanliness that does not resemble the slums of London from 1600s....close it down, sell up....you can't run a cafe....sorry, but I am only being truthful. And please get reassessment on food standards....should be 0....

Went for Sunday lunch to celebrate with a friend who was 66 on the Monday. Booked in for 1230 arrived just a few minutes earlier met with a warm welcome and shown to our table Placed our food order at the bar and got drinks delivered to the table Food was delivered to our table a few minutes later and what a wonderful display of food some ordered beef and some pork and it was all absolutely delicious couldn’t believe how good it was. I would like to thank the chef and all the staff especially the landlady who made our visit so enjoyable. We will definitely be back here very soon.

Had a scone and two coffees. Coffee was great. Scone “ok”. Paid over £12 for the 3 items. Not sure how much scone was as priced not displayed. Service was odd. We were ignored for 5 minutes while waiting to order at the counter. And when we finally were it wasn’t a welcoming experience - no “ hi /morning “ just a stare until we spoke to say what we wanted. But then the person who brought order over was absolutely lovely - commenting on the weather etc. Had a look at the lunch menu. Mushrooms on toast was £16. A piece of quiche and salad £19. At those prices - and with that indifferent service - we’ll stick to our tried and regularly tested Coleman’s Deli in the village for food.

Really truly properly and disgracefully bad scones. Stale and bread bun like. Although they say they are delivered the day they are (locally) baked- how often are they delivered? Are they then frozen? Should have politely asked for something else but it was near closing time and we were in a group. However. Have had good food here before and the shop is excellent. But everyone loves a cream tea, at home now and we are making our own scones because we feel we have to after what can only be described as a deeply traumatic experience. I suspect the flashbacks and nightmares will start within a month or so (irony). Will excuse this as a one off but won’t have the scones next time.

This is an idyllic pub in a fascinating village. Eyam, Derbyshire, the Plague Village. The menu is short, always a good sign, with two specials. The food was very good, traditional pub grub. The members of staff were really polite, friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is ‘country pub’. Very clean and well maintained with quality furniture and fittings. We visited on a glorious sunny day in May. There is a large car park and extensive beer garden. All in all we had a very good experience here. Thank you all.
