One of the best fish and chip shops my partner and I have been to, after a long day of hiking it was just what we needed, we called up and the owner said he was shutting soon but would turn on the fryers again for us and make our delicious food. When we got there the gentleman couldn’t have been more helpful and the young lady behind the counter was lovely also. We got some drinks and took it back to our shepherds hut and enjoyed our cod and chips and felt very full by the end of it, we couldn’t quite finish it all, the batter was crispy and the chips were fresh wjich was nice. Thank you!

Everything is cooked fresh to order. All was delicious & crisp, not at all greasy like a lot of other fisheries. Decent price too, would definitely recommend. All the staff were most helpful & friendly.

Tasteless Poor Quality and Poor reception from the young staff.. The Fish & Chips were bland and tasteless! We sat inside for Fish & Chips, when l asked for a napkin for the two of us the young female member of staff just grabbed an handful and virtually threw them at me.. The idea of travelling into Hathersage for a Chippy Tea didn't turn out to.what we expected!

Really friendly staff, and a freshly fried piece of haddock that was delicious, and well worth the wait. Even the curry sauce was a good one. Would definitely visit again if I’m in the area.

Poor quality food, service by the staff was a joke. The service was chaos! I had ordered two battered cod and quite frankly I don't know what I received! The oil on the fish left a bitter taste in my mouth. The batter was soggy, and it was suppose to be Cod, which clearly was something else. The Cod was rolled like a sausage, it didn't resemble Cod. How can they get it wrong this is all they do. I wasn't the only customer who was disgruntled. Just poor!

We visited Hathersage last Thursday and decided to have fish and chips for lunch. They were the best fish and chips that we have had , better than the ones that we had in Norfolk by the sea, and No gulls. The proprietor and assistant were very friendly would definitely recommend ate them outside in the sunshine thank you.

Brilliant place as they don't mix the oils for people who want halal fish n chips!! Separate fryer and excellent service. I would have given 5 stars but the cod fillet could be a little more generous in size.

Amazing gluten free fish and chips, it was worth the journey and diversion from Bradwell (where we’re staying). They have a separate fryer and package separately so there’s no cross contamination. The only problem now is that I’m so full and happy that I can’t move!

Absolutely delicious and very friendly staff. The owner mentioned a review left by another customer complaining that the chip butty was too full and they were unable to close it. I disagree wholeheartedly - I think it represents fantastic value for money

Order large Cod, Chips and peas with a tea. Kids sausage chips beans and tin of coke. Mine came on two plates. Went down a treat because was ready for it after day at Gullivers. And yes I assembled it onto one plate and left full. N I'm a big lad £21 cannot go wrong with that.

Excellent fish and chips, some of the best we’ve had (partner is from south coast and reckons it beat Brighton and Hastings chippies hand down). And only £8.50 each. Staff were so friendly too. Definitely recommend!

We've been meaning to visit the Seafood Cave for a while and finally got to experience it today. What an amazing place! We've never really been to a restaurant like it. Inside is cosy and intimate, with an open kitchen. We got a very friendly welcome from the lady server and also the chefs, who chatted to customers whilst creating works of art in the kitchen. We had 3 courses which were all absolutely delicious and were presented with such care and precision. The service was courteous and very professional at all times, yet the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. We enjoyed it all so much and are really sad that they will be closing in a week's time. Wish we'd tried it earlier. This place is very special. Best wishes for the future to all the wonderful staff.
