The best restaurants in Arboretum Derby East Midlands

Excellent! I’ve been coming here for the past 3 years pretty much every day for coffee, food and cocktails. The customer service is beyond amazing, all staff are very welcoming and are all so polite! Very highly recommended for coffee enthusiasts! :)

Nice food, friendly staff and we enjoyed eating

Visited last night on a whim and had a bit of a wait because the place was full. Once seated the staff were very attentive ensuring our drinks came quickly and clearing our plates. Each time with a smile and checking we were happy. There was a huge choice of dishes and they were kept well stocked. There's nothing worse than wanting a particular dish for it to have run out and not restocked and that didn't happen. There is no shortage of what I would call the premium dishes, such as lamb and king prawns and everything was high quality. We have visited several times and despite eating many dishes, I still haven't managed to try half of them. Place seems very well run with plenty of staff all working hard.

Just had an interesting experience here. I placed my order for collection and was served by a man who asked me how he could help, asked my name then gave me my pizza. A woman with short, dark hair then came up to the counter as I was holding my pizza and asked "where is your hot bag?!". I had no idea what she was talking about so she said even more loudly, slowly and rudely: "WHERE, IS, YOUR, HOT, BAG?". I looked at her blankly again then realised that she'd seen a black guy at the counter and assumed I must be collecting the food for someone else. I said "I see what's happened here...". The man then said something to her in a different language and she said "oh..." and walked off with the man left looking embarrassed. Is this the kind of treatment everyone who looks like me can expect here? These are the kind of people you hire? Completely unacceptable.

Had an amazing experience at Nando’s Derby Derbion, and I have to give a huge shoutout to Hannah for her outstanding customer service! From the moment we arrived, she was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. She went above and beyond to check in on us, ensuring our food was just right and that we were happy with our meal. It’s rare to come across someone as kind and attentive as Hannah—she truly made our visit special. Her positive attitude and genuine care for customers didn’t go unnoticed, and I can honestly say she made our dining experience even better. The food was fantastic as always, but it was Hannah’s service that really stood out. Nando’s is lucky to have her on the team! Will definitely be returning soon.

Friendly staff and great food GDK never fails to satisfy my hunger! Highly reccomend one of the best places to get food in Derby.

Amazing food for a hungry monster

Clean and tidy rooms. Location is spot on and a decent price with breakfast. Would stay again.

Toilets are like something out the third world, but cheap drinks and always a good DJ or band playing.

I came in for the first time and it was made absolutely amazing by Tom and his awesome energy, thanks a lot to him for making my stay amazing. He made the night.
