What a wonderful place to have dinner and celebrating our kids birthday. Desi chicken was amazing, Lahori lamb ghost was delicious, Paneer kadahi was absolutely magnificent. We enjoyed every bit of our time there. All the staff is very friendly and polite. Our server Faz got impeccable attitude, he is asset to Anoki. We would like to come back for same foods and service.

Honestly cannot recommend this place enough. We know our curries and feel so lucky to live close by to such a different Indian restaurant experience. We went last night for the all inclusive meal with drinks. Service was friendly and knowledgeable with recommendations that were amazing. My husband said his mixed grill starter was the best he'd ever had - and we've eaten in some great places so this was high praise indeed. He was converted to fish curry having been offered a complementary taster. My lamb chops were flavour some and tender. Our mains were also excellent - I have something different each time and have never been disappointed, the quality and flavours are always top notch. The drinks package was great with plenty of choice. I very rarely take the time to leave a review but Faz and all the team deserve recognition for the exceptional service and food they provide. Had a lovely meal at Anoki Derby on Thursday 17th Oct celebrating their 21st anniversary. We opted to have poppadoms, hot chilli fish, lamb chops, lamb saag and keema with potato from the 2 courses for £21 menu. Our waiter Amir was superb, we will be returning to Anoki in the near future.

In town with family needed a bite to eat and Anoki was suggested as a good place to go. They were so right . The staff were excellent a warm welcome, very attentive whilst not being rushed. The food was excellent, flavours were balanced and traditional. The building has been renovated to a high standard, quite beautiful. The cost of the meal was excellent value.

Visited Anoki many times and it never fails to impress. Went for my sons birthday, he's a pilot, eats in restaurants all over the world, but whenever hes home, it has to be Anoki, they do the best curry, the best service, and with Faz's help, the best overall experience!

the thing is you are paying restaurant prices so the food should be restaurant quality, but not today, today this half went in the bin, hard chewy recooked chicken. think I'm over Anoki sadly.

We booked a table here for our anniversary, but when we arrived it was closed. My husband rang the branch in Burton and we were told they had tried ringing people to let them know the Derby restaurant was closed, but clearly they didn't try very hard. I don't understand why they decided to leave customers stranded without answers?! They had our email address as well, but clearly couldn't be bothered and decided to let us find out for ourselves. The customer service from the start was horrendous. I've had this rant on the page for the restaurant in Burton, as that is where we ended up. The staff there didn't seem too fussed either. Since that visit I have rang them, messaged them and emailed them and have had no response. It feels like they only care about the food and not the customer experience as a whole. People spend a lot of money when they visit here and to just be ignored on several occasions is pathetic customer service. Very disappointed and will not be back.

Had another takeaway from here last night waited 1hr for food to arrive that I think is acceptable problem was that at £66 not cheap but then go find the 2 portions of rice missing again and ruined our night for about the forth time now I decided to fold up my gold card send it back with the rice when it finally turned up

Food took nearly two hours to arrive. Rang the restaurant and the lady was so helpful but informed me that on a Monday comes from Burton. Was told would be 15 minutes and was still another 35 minutes. Naan bread and lamb curry stone cold

We have dined here a few times over the years and thought it was time to write a review. As always, the food quality and quantity are outstanding, and I cannot fault the team as they always go out of their way to make it special. For example, on our last visit, they brought out some free desserts which were exceptional. I have to mention Nas, as he went above and beyond to make the whole experience spot on. They always end the meal with some chocs, after eights and imperial mints which are sublime! They give a feedback card and pen everytime, which means they care about our feedback in order to improve the experience in the future. On a slight negative note, I personally think the decor is starting to look a little tired, but I am being picky here. Overall, if you want fantastic indian cuisine and service, this is the place to be.

Visited this place for my Big 60 with friends and family the food and restaurant was very nice only downside For us was disability access to the dining room upstairs was by a lot of steps asked if could use the downstairs Restaurant they said we would need to pay extra so I don’t recommend for disability. Also staff did not interact with you no greeting on the way in or out and there were 17 people in our party spending a considerable amount Of money on food and drink other thank that all good and had a great time anyway

Definitely microwaved curry that they offer as the buy out option. Curry we got was cold, onion bhajis hard like they’d been warmed up a few times. Only thing that tasted fresh was the naan. They also forgot our starters.

Simply amazing. First time here, and the food was the best curry I’ve had in a very long time. They made our anniversary such a wonderful experience. The chicken makhani was one of the best curries I’ve ever eaten! Thank you for a wonderful evening!

I have been coming to Anoki since my daughter started University here three years ago, so it was only fitting that we celebrated her graduation there last night. The staff were fabulous and welcoming, as always. They recognised us from previous visits, and congratulated my daughter on her achievement. The food was absolutely divine! I cannot recommend it highly enough. Packed full of flavour and excellent value for money.

Have been coming here for the last 12 years as our son moved to Derby. Moved away now, but the food is so delicious & totally different to anything else we have ever had, we've made the visit twice a year so far, its that special. They always remember us & the service, atmosphere & staff add to the experience. No other Indian cuisine for us, simply & utterly superb :)

We ordered the Euro Set Menu for home delivery, it was the best Indian I have had so fresh and fast delivery, the food was packaged well and such good value for money, would highly recommend 😃

The food was half hour late and when it arrived it wasn’t very warm. The chicken was very tough and the naan bread was very greasy. For a top restaurant, it was very disappointing food. Will not be going there again

Probably the best Indian we have had the kindest most down to earth people especially Faz and his friend I forgot his name they did give it to me 🤣there team is great the food was 10/10 they even make me something that wasn't on there menu, there big portions. My partner revered to Islam two year ago and we told them his story and they went completely out there way to give us a generous gift . We will definitely be visiting again soon 🙂

Went for early dinner. Lovely welcome from the staff. Waiter was very friendly and attentive, gave good recommendations on food choice. Food was amazing. Mocktails were very nice and refreshing Would definitely recommend and we will be back ❤️

Me and my family went to this restaurant we ordered starters and a main lamb curry which we asked to be spicy. We was totally shocked at the portion size of the lamb curry which we asked for to be spicy. This was exactly 4 tablespoons of curry which we paid over £25 for and this was a very mild curry and very dry hard to swallow. Very disappointed with the quality of the food we paid a total of £60 for a starter a main and 2 cokes aswell as a service charge. We then spoke to one of the waiters addressing the portion size and taste of the curry he totally fobbed us off. Will not be visiting here again and will not be recommending to anyone the place is a robbery. You do not get your moneys worth. Waste of time!

Was the first person in this evening but the hosts made the atmosphere by making me very welcome. Can always tell a good restaurant when the hosts actually have recommendations. Food was brilliant and highly recommend!

We visited the place last night and our waiter Faz was very welcoming and helpful. We ordered from the set menu and the food was very good. The atmosphere was very romantic and cozy but at the same time it had a feel of a fancy restaurant. The only thing we didn’t like was that we asked them not to put coriander in the food and unfortunately when the dishes came some had coriander which meant I could eat everything. Overall a good experience and we will definitely go back.

Overall, it was one of my best dining experiences in the U.K. I had heard great things about the restaurant and decided to visit to celebrate with my partner. Faz, our server, was extremely friendly and helpful—thank you, Faz! I often get frustrated with small portions at restaurants, but Faz assured us that we wouldn’t be disappointed, and he was right. The servings were generous and satisfying. I had to deduct one star because we specifically requested no coriander in our dishes due to my partner's preference, yet it was included in almost all of them. Despite this oversight, the food was delicious, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning.

Served by Faz amazing and polite man made everything fun and even remembered my friend whos been before, food was unmatched best indian food i have ever eaten and portions arent shy, had alot of conpliments from the chef dishes served aswell! We did the friday all you can eat deal and even got to take our leftovers home! Will definitely be back.

We love Anoki in Derby. The restaurant is such a lovely setting but it’s the Anoki team that make it a special night out. They are amazing, nothing is too much trouble and the food is outstanding. I’d highly recommend - you won’t be disappointed.

O.M.G. Where do I start. First impressions: Clean, well laid out, awesome space and surroundings, the waiters and staff dressed in traditional costumes. The waiter and staff were polite, welcoming and very helpful. The food was amazing, the service was outstanding and the drinks were served in the correct glassware. The toilets were immaculate and even offered individual hand towels as well as air blown hand drier. Yes you may pay a little extra for your food but it is worth it for the experience. However if you eat between 5-30 and 7-30 pm you can enjoy a special deal of: buy 1 get 1 free based on main meals. My recommendation is, if you are in Derby and you fancy a good Asian meal, you MUST visit this restaurant on London Road.

The meal was nice rice perfect the meal was loaded with lamb worth every penny I had a peshwari nan it was the worst I’ve had way to much coconut it must of been 15 mm thick the garlic nan looked like it was on a diet popadoms was greasy if the nan was good it would of been a good review

I have been to this anoki on multiple occasions and they have never disappointed for the quality of the food and service. The food was sensational and the staff working there at incredible and cannot do enough to help and make it the best experience. Me and my partner have been to the one on the A38 and it was really disappointing the service wasn’t great the food disappointed and the staff seemed like they didn’t want to be there. So if you want to go for an incredible meal go to the London road anoki.

Went for a meal during October and the 3 courses for £20 was amazing..... In addition I purchased a gold card, usually £180 for 12 months for £20 for 14 months, this gives us 50% off the food bill every time we dine..... If you have never been to Anoki you really need to try it

I can’t speak more highly of this restaurant. It stands head and shoulders above any other in Derby for the amazing staff and service. In arrival we were met by Yaseem who straight away knew our wine choice, drinks (Cobra and water) and our precise choices and preferences for the banquet meal we always have when we visit. Food was amazing and the whole meal was great. Highly recommend! Ibrahim, you have serious competition with Yaseem!

Ordered on just eat, took my money, accepted the order and gave me a delivery time. Then 2 minutes later cancelled the order saying no drivers. Yet the menu is still available on just eat for orders, go figure! And I now have to wait 3-5 days for a refund! Jokers!

Another amazing meal at Anoki Derby. Food and service were both perfect. Our server was very friendly and helpful with recommendations and we even got a free dessert when he found out we traveled from Northampton just for a meal at Anoki. We have recommended Anoki before and will continue to recommend it. Looking forward to our next visit in a few months. If we lived closer we would definitely get the gold card too.

Thought we’d try the takeaway at Anoki as a treat, however very disappointed not sure you could even buy the flat pancake style naan bread in a supermarket, one curry was vinegary and the other tasted off nothing but cardamom, worst £40 ever spent. Do not recommend!

Food was cold, not very nice at all

This is a new discovery for us. I’d been before a while ago and loved it but for some reason didn’t return. I visited with my husband a couple of weeks ago and immediately said “why have we not been here before”. So we took up the gold card incentive and now we’re weekly visitors. Twice in one week! The food is absolutely divine and the staff are so friendly and attentive. We were also very pleased to note that the restaurant is accessible Friday through Sunday so we can bring a disabled (wheelchair user) family member. I cannot recommend Anoki highly enough.

I love Anoki, Derby! The food is sensational every single time, the service is fantastic and the atmosphere is relaxed and happy. I always recommend Anoki derby to people and they’ve always felt the same too. The gold card is a life saver also, a real bargain! We dine in and have delivery also, the quality doesn’t change.

Good first experience, went again with large group of friends and service was not as good as previous. For the high prices, felt disappointed and don't think we will come back.

Arrived on time and in all fairness to the serving staff it was very busy however after receiving Poppadums and dips we waited 50 minutes just to order food. 50 minutes and we only got our order taken when I got up to go and find someone to take it. This was our first night out as a couple for around 5 months as we have two small children so finding time and baby sitters isn’t easy. What drew us here is the food we had delivered in and around lockdown it was as good then as it is now but after tonight’s service I won’t be returning. 3 hours from start until finish, empty glasses from our first round left on the table from our original seating, having to find people to take our order then having to walk to the front counter to get and pay the bill - it’s a No from me again

The best Indian restaurant I have ever been to, including ones I’ve tried in other countries! In fact it’s my favourite restaurant. I come here almost every week, food is always 10/10 and the service is fantastic. I would recommend anoki to anyone.

I’ve always found Anoki to be great food if a little more expensive than most other Indian restaurants. On this occasion however I ordered a takeaway from the Derby restaurant & was extremely disappointed with the poor quality of the food & customer service. I’d been given a £25 gift voucher which I decided to use for the takeaway as it was my Birthday & not being in great health I couldn’t go to the restaurant. The first problem I encountered was trying to order on line & redeem my voucher. There seemed to be no way of doing it so I phoned the Derby restaurant. The guy I spoke to didn’t seem to know how to do it either so in the end I ordered over the phone & was told to hand the voucher to the delivery driver. The food was delivered 90 mins later. Firstly it was cold so needed warming up in the oven. One of the dishes was the “Goan Sea Bass curry” a particular favourite of my wife & I which we’ve had many times at the A38 Burton Anoki. Unfortunately it was terrible. It was bitter & lacked the sweet coconut taste that it normally has. My wife phoned the restaurant & explained & they said they’d send a replacement. A replacement arrived 50 mins later. My wife tasted the replacement at the door while the driver was still there & it was exactly the same. She asked the driver to taste it which he did but said he’d never had it before so didn’t know how it was supposed to taste. He said he’d finished his shift & was on his way home so was just dropping this off as a favour so we’d have to phone the restaurant & get them to sort it out. We tried for the next half hour to get through but just kept getting the engaged tone. In the end the whole meal went in the bin & we ordered a pizza. I’m really disappointed with the whole experience & I won’t be in a hurry to order from Anoki again or visit their restaurant’s.

BEST Indian curry at Anoki Indian restaurant! It's an absolute flavor explosion that will transport you straight to the streets of India.
