Absolutely love this restaurant food is perfect every time and great value too

Take your own booze, friendly staff with good quality food. Would be good to see a broader choice of food as the menu is quite small. I have been eating here for over a decade it's my favourite curry house. I highly recommend the balti tandoori mix, the lamb shashlick but actually everything is really really good.

Been going here for years and i love it more every time. The staff are all so friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. The food WOW. I had the best dish iv ever had there on Saturday. Tandoori fish shashlik, absolutely incredible! Not leaving it so long this time.

We always enjoy the food here sadly prices have gone up and portion size has reduced this evening thee was only two staff on and one was new every one had to keep asking for things like plates I didn’t feel service was as good as it used to be

We have eaten here for a long time and it’s usually lovely but tonight it was awful. The food had clearly burnt in the pan for both my daughters dish and husbands dish. It had a smoked burnt strong taste. The chef must of known. It not like it’s the cheapest food either, very disappointed. The chips were as hard as toe nails. Wont eat here again!

Wow. Just ordered our first takeaway from here tonight . l had chicken jalfrazi with no onions or peppers and was really tasty. My partner had chicken korma and he loved it. Nan breads were delicious. Will definitely be back. Thank you.

Thank you Balti International for a beautiful meal tonight. This has to be one of Derby's longest standing BIR curry houses, which serve truely amazing dishes and with spot on service to boot. We ordered 2 starters, the mixed kebab and hot meat puri, both were great value and tasted great. For mains we ordered the saag paneer, which is my American daughter-in-laws favourite, chicken tikka masala and chicken tikka pathia. Everyone commented on the high quality of each dish and quantity of meat and paneer. My wife comments stood out the most, which really does say it all 'this is the best pathia I have ever had'. Truely praise indeed, I know 😆 The rice and nan breads were superb and if you want great BIR, then look no further and download their app and get ordering, especially as you get an amazing 15% off on your order if you do. Excellent 10/10 for quality and service 😊👍

Would just like to say a massive thank you to all the staff for the service a looking after us for my sons 21st birthday, we had a great time, food a service was excellent! We will definitely be back! 5 star service!!

Ordered at 8.30pm food didn't turn up until 10pm. All the food was cold. order 2 lamb curries and there was more tomatoes in it than meat and so watery. Waste of £40.00

food was really good --just felt let down by the invoice that didnt add up ! NO we didnt have 12 popadoms.. (5 diners) Website prices needs to be updated -- illegal not to ! may give another chance in near future.

Had a delivery was very nice would highly reccomend.

For £60, the quality is poor to put it politely. The fryers desperately need cleaning, as the aftertaste on the samosas, bhajis, chips and nuggets was rancid, the rice tasted like it was put through a microwave, which really ruined the best part of my order. The curry’s were amazing!!! I’ve not ordered from you guys in a while, I’ve sang your praises like there’s no tomorrow, but tonight’s order, was a true disappointment

I used to order from balti regularly. But the food over the past year had been hit and miss. More on the miss side. I ordered the butter chicken and the chicken pieces tasted and looked very processed. Chips were bland and dry. Naans were cold. My partner had tikka malsala and it was bland. A once top notch curry house is no more. Its been a while since I last ordered because we were not massively impressed last time. Hopefully it was a one off. It seems like, as with many restaurants, they are cutting small corners on the quality of food items, resulting in a over reduction in quality and taste. Such a shame.

All the food was actually very disappointing this time and we order from here regularly. Adding spring onions into the egg fried rice was a no, none of us like spring onions and they never used to be in the rice so for us that wasn’t edible. The onion bhajee’s were also not edible, they tasted like they had so many chilli’s in the middle of them, they were also binned. This place has definitely gone down hill and if you have a new chef, you definitely need to get rid and get your old one back 👍🏼

Ordered about an hour and an half in advance knowing the evening might be busy. Order updated to say food was on the way in time for the delivery time. 20 minutes later called the restaurant and it was just leaving. Arrived 10 minutes later. Just be open, if it’s delayed then say so rather than say it’s on the way when it’s not!

For the second time, one item was missing from my order. All the more annoying because the delivery driver promised that he would return with the missing item but he never did. Lovely food, but my second disappointing experience in just a few weeks. I'm still waiting for the missing item.

Excellent! Food was delivered piping hot and very very good quality. Super fresh with plenty of flavour and good size portions.

Delivery time given was 55 mins nearly 2 hours after ordering still nothing. Chased with the restaurant to be told they're busy abd there was nothing they could do. When food finally arrived it was cold, over cooked and items missing. Called the restaurant again to again be told they couldn't rectify the issue

A Derby institution. Good food and can accommodate large groups. Bring your own drinks (always helpful when you're a large party, so less confusion when working out the bill!)

Onion bahji was soggy, no chips in the order and curry sauce was tangy. Not been for a while and was really looking forward to our treat. Food seems very different now

The whole thing took like 3 hours to get there, then was cold. Shame as would of been a nice Indian if hot.

This is the first time ever I've had a meal I'm not very satisfied with. Balti International is normally perfect and I've never had a bad word until now. My curry was cold, my chips were cold and soggy, my nan bread was cold and tough. I am very disappointed this time :(

Food was shocking tonight, madras very watery nothing had any flavour. Won't be using these again. 30 quid wasted.

We paid £30 for Lamb Chops & Tandoori Chicken mains which already seems steep. However I thought maybe the price will be reflected in the quality of the meal but flavours were unfortunately bland and the mint sauce had a peculiar taste and had a dash of blue in it which I’ve got not idea what it was. The chicken was also very dry.

Decided to go for a takeaway curry last night from Balti International. My partner and I both opted for the butter chicken and garlic rice and cheesy garlic naan bread each. The food itself tasted okay and we didn’t think anything of it until 5am this following morning myself and my partner woke up with stomach cramps and upset stomachs. Myself throughout the day after this takeaway violently threw up several times and my partner the same. This was the only food we had eaten all day due to us being busy so we definitely know it was from this meal. I would urge anyone ordering from here to be careful as I’ve felt horrendous all day after this curry and never experienced food poisoning quite like it before. Very disappointing and ultimately dangerous!

The food was amazing, the service was second to none, well worth a visit or two.. and they even prepared a meal that wasn't on the menu for my fussy daughter with no fuss whatsoever 😊 P.s try the cheese naan it's to die for 🤤🤤🤤

The curry's were supposed to have green chillies,they came with what looked like Jalapeños, spice level was not as it usually is. Love this place but this was a let down.

Great food and very good staff! To take orders for a table of 6 and then to remember who had which starter and main course is splendid - something I rarely experience in a restaurant. Also the concept of bringing one's own alcoholic drinks (not soft drinks unless you want a £10 charge!) is excellent.

Ordered a few times before and it was lovely! Couldn't fault it, last 3 times have been awful!! Medium curries burning our mouths out, no taste just spice to the point you can't enjoy it! Filled with oil no onions or any other veg when its stated in the description. Will not order again. Very disappointed as was so nice before.

The butter chicken was watery and very bland. Not upto it’s usual standard! Was charged £5.95 for two onion bhajis and another £5.95 for two samosas which is a rip off. Rogan Josh was really nice and also hot unlike the butter chicken.

After being released from a three-week stay in hospital, the quick delivery of a lovely meal was greatly apreciated.

We've just had our first takeaway from Balti International, it was superb, from the politeness of the gentleman taking the order, to the accuracy of the food delivered, to the quality of the food, could not fault them.👍

I've been using Balti International for nearly 6 years now simply because they are the best. The food has always been delivered hot and has tasted absolutely delicious

Always my go to restaurant if I eat out for Indian food ,but this delivery was not up to their standard by any means ,I hate to criticise as I rate Balti international always have but the food delivered was poor,definitely not restaurant food and no better than any poor curry takeaway,I’m sorry to say but have to be honest ,will eat in again but never have a delivery after the quality of both curries ,we stopped eating about the same time and both almost said same time it wasn’t like it was from

Lovely food, very tasty, just a little tight with mint sauce. Ordered a mix poppadom tray and a starter, both of which you would expect to come with mint sauce, but only 1 sauce. It's a small matter, but it can really impact meals and a shame for what it must save the restaurant. Other than that, a lovely meal, I'll order again but via phone so I can check what they will deliver, I shouldn't really need to do that...

Not their usual quality. The curries were supposed to be completely different but they tasted like they'd come out of a generic can and chilli powder added to one of them. Not like this place at all.

Huge miss. Food was seriously watery with no flavour. That is three successive deliveries which have been hugely disappointing. Time for a new chef!

If I could leave no stars I would , starters were nice , but the main chicken curry’s egg fried rice and naans were all awful rice had no taste at all just boiled rice with egg in , curry was watery and just very spicy , and naans were soft all were incredibly hot like they had just come out of the microwave, for £66 it was a complete waste of money when I complained they very kindly knocked £6 off , personally I’d have just paid for the starters , I read the reviews on trip advisor about how bad the food was and I should have taken note will definitely never go there again
