German Doner Kebab - intu Derby in Derby

I ordered on the touch screen which was pretty fast and simple. I wouldn’t say it’s good value for money because I do think it’s a little on the expensive side but food was decent and piping hot, didn’t wait too long either. 7/10.

Service was so slow. Took over 20 mins for my food to be made which (if you know the shopping centre) meant I had to pay £3.60 just to collect my food. The chips were fresh but the kebab was made so poorly the last half was just eating the veg/salad no meat. Atmosphere is so so, it’s in a food court so can’t really comment but it’s not obvious where to wait to collect the food and where to order as the self serve is on one side and the manned till the opposite. There’s just crowds of people floating around so you never know who’s waiting to do what.

Seating was busy since it is in a massive food hall but the food like usually from GDK did not disappoint, I think the sauces are my favourite part.

We had the OG kebabs delivered to home. They arrived promptly but were slightly warm at most. Very, very tasty kebabs though. Came boxed and in a small bag so that the boxes were transported on their side and not flat as would have been ideal. This may have accounted for the fact that the sauce and salad were all concentrated at the bottom of the kebab a d not evenly spread. Alternatively, the kebab itself may have been constructed that way. Regardless, these small issues downgraded the overall experience to an average one, but this could be much improved and made excellent with a few minor thoughtful tweaks to the process. Hopefully, this review will encourage GDK to continually review and improve their service and increase their sales of what is a tasty and refreshingly new twist on a fast food favourite.

Food was fantastic, only the girl working on the cash , she behaved so rude rude talking with us so badly,I think she’s not happy to work she’s not enjoying the work , if you ask she answer so rudely

The food was not good by its own merits. and I'm not sure what "German Doner" they've been having, but this is nothing like any of the German Doner I've had. The service was not good, to the point where the 3rd in our group just didn't bother ordering to not go through the hassle. and the place looked like it needed a deep clean. Don't eat here. I cannot believe how highly this place is rated on google reviews.

Today this happend to me when I open this wrap in the car I can't even eat it Pathetic.

I am absolutely shocked by what I received - remember the scandal with cockroaches crawling around the kitchen of German Doner Kebab, I remember but decided to give them one more chance to redeem themselves... I ordered a GYM BOX to take away - I am shocked by such a small amount of meat that was in the GYM BOX - the slices of meat are as thin as ASDA toilet paper - for £7 you can really buy tastier food and served in larger quantities, Gemran Doner Kebab is not a good choice for £7 - I strongly advise against it, neither the quality nor the price is right for £7.49 you can eat your fill at Oddles Derby on Normanton RD - I recommend it.

Rather expensive and quality has significantly dropped down lately. Not recommended. If delivered, always arrives cold.

Very good kebabs, large portions if you add meat, fries are good although small portions, and the sauces are small portions. The sauces are not noticeable in the kebab.

Ordered a plain chicken kebab with feta, apparently means 3 different sauces and all of the salad, no feta, staff took 20 minutes to get my order completely wrong. Would rather eat my own feet than go back.

No receipt from the machine when ordering. I saw 3 people bring food back whilst waiting 15 mins for my food. Food was ok, but portion size small. No worth the wait or the money.

I love their Kebabs. They're definitely one of the best in Derby. My only complaint is, the kebabs are smaller than they used to be. That's why 4 stars 🤩

Very overpriced. Small portions and tough meat of which there was barely any. We had the salad/meat and chips box. This place will not be in business much longer cause nobody will go back it’s that bad!

In this place, inside the Derbion shopping mall, what is described in the snack is not followed, they charge for the sauce, and when you order, the set with 3 sauce options is included, if you don't pay for the sauce unit they will deliver it to you the snack without any sauce!!!! It was necessary to pay for the sauce.

Food was delicious and service was fast, exactly what you would expect from fast food, although the derbions food hall has communal seating and is far from relaxing.

It’s ok for what it is. Certainly a different take on the traditional U.K. kebab, and quite novel in that regard. But it lacks any character and is quite generic.

Ordered through Just Eat and took 90mins for delivery. Felt sorry for the courier and food was cold!

PLASTIC FOUND IN FOOD !!!!! Awful food , got it delivered and the order was wrong. Partner tried to call and he got a lady who was quite rude and tried to say that they had made the order correctly when they hadn’t. I decided to have his wrap and give him my fries with donner meat. Whilst he was eating it under the first layer of meat we found plastic in the food !!! Absolutely disgraceful and won’t be ordering again !!

I’ve been getting GDK for weeks upon weeks now and every time, it’s always great. Food is done phenomenal in Derby City Centre. However for me, the service is not so great since most of the time I struggle to understand what the staff are saying to me. That’s only due to their strong foreign accents though. For me, this does happen in lots of places, so it’s not just them 😅. How they work otherwise is very very good since they all seem to be able to understand each other easily with no difficulty. Great atmosphere at the area as well with it embedded into Derbion Food Court. I’ve now come back to update my review since I still love this place to bits and to the point now where they remember my order 😂👏🏻. I don’t have to say a word and they’ll get it done straight away to be with me in no time. It’s definitely a must-have 🙌🏻. (They always remember my 15% student discount too 😅)

horrible rude cashier, screened at me because of a misunderstanding, i ordered 3 boxes of doner and said “2 boxes with salad and the third just plain, she gave me 3 boxes of donner with no salad so i kindly asked her to add salad on 2 boxes as i said that in the beginning, she then dropped her mouth at me and started screaming saying that i never told her this and i should make my mind up while ordering the food” so my friend stud up for me and said to the cashier that there is no need for rudness as its just misunderstanding, she then started to have a go at my friend too ( she was an asian girl with a big big attitude) im never ever going back there ( i was a regular customer)

Don't order from here , delivery drivers steel food. Bought 2 boss meals and nothing come . Hope the driver get fired or hit by the bus 🚌.If he still stealing.anyway 35£ gone in Thin air.

I absolutely love these Kebabs, however I don't like standing 10 minutes to be served so i walked off.... do your selves a favour and hire extra staff.... you lost a multiple work order today for being so very slow and ignoring customers who prefer to order at the till instead of on the screen. the eastern asian lady just kept staring through me. as if I wasn't there. Came in a lovely box, I’ll say that much. Spring rolls were nice, chips so cold and soggy I assume that they come directly from Germany. Kebab itself was awful. Bizarre “waffle” bread was rock hard and largely inedible. Whatever the “Meat” was, it was awful. The salad was nice but, honestly, after a couple of bites I grew tired of fishing out the unpleasant meat, pretty much lost the will to live, and binned it. Tired of this “gourmet” nonsense, it’s a triumph of marketing over quality. On a positive note, the Frosties I had afterwards to fill me up were delicious.

The chicken was charred and full of feathery skin. Also the beef tasted very old with it's hard and dry texture and full of residues created from cleaning the meat on the freshly cut meat storage tray. The potatoes were reheated, burnt and soaked in oil and the feta cheese had a strange, unpleasant smell!

Order through Uber. Came pretty much quickly but portions twice less then usual. Almost £9 for half of a box is ridiculous. Same with a kebab box with veg. OG arrived with a soggy bread and almost no veg. The only looked good is cheesy bites and sauces. Waste of £35. And cant even proper complaint on Uber. Spoiled evening.

Everything was perfect the food was hot and fresh the meat was perfectly cooked I wish I could show my box after finishing it not a single good insight 😂😂 Really worth the money if you ever feel hungry and want to get food i suggest GDK!!! I am definitely ordering from this place again and excited to try out more of their food 10/10 service 🥳🥳

The guys at work said GDK was really good so I finally decided to try it. I had the mixed meat with fries and salad. It was really nice! Great value for money. Don't let the photo deceive you. It was filling

Kebab mixed meat wrap fab as always. Cheesy chips - not easy to eat, cheese sauce on chips in a paper bag!

Great menu and super fresh, fast service and hot. Prices are reasonable and seating in the main food court.

It was ecstatic. The food was brilliant- the perfect temperature, presentation was perfect, food was perfect. The customer service was delightful- i felt like i was prioritised and loved. Absolutely amazing!

Staff were very friendly, first time I have tried this place and the food was better than expected. Only downside is the cheesy chips, lovely but only a bit of cheese on the top, after the first 5 fries the rest were plain so bit disappointed with that but overall, very good.

Ordered my doner kebab and asked for all 3 sauces in the kebab, but sadly can't taste any sauce in there and as this was a takeaway order and me being in a wheelchair it's extremely difficult for me to take it back. Don't think I'll be returning again as I double checked about the sauce when I picked it up and was clearly not told the truth.

GDK is a must try, their food is great and unique to me, personal favourites are the Dorito doner and the quesadilla. The service is great the food is done relatively fast and the people working are awesome, always handing the food with a great smile and all around very nice I hadn’t really had much of an interest in eating out but decided to give GDK a go and their food is definitely tasteful allowing me to easily go again whenever I’m around Definitely give this place a try if you’re around.

The tables should be cleared always, anyways thumbs up.

Excellent Kebab, the same we get in mainland Europe. Ingredients are always super fresh and delicious. The new design in the eating mall is great and relaxed and they managed to make it feel cosy despite its large size. Every time I've been, the staff forgot something I paid for though, may it be the extra pot of sauce, or the extra drink, so I recommend checking your order before you leave, particularly if you're taking away.

8 pounds for the box when it use to be 5,the box with cockroaches and 0 stars by hygiene rating used to love your tasty food but not for 8 pound anymore per box of fries and doner meat,i would recommend you to adjust your prices and i will come back,because your food is tasty can’t decline that,but it’s too much,i will rather have a local takeaway for 5,50 instead which is less tasty but still tasty and worth the price

0/5 I ordered a kebab with all the sauces (there were 3 of them), as a result, the kebab turned out to be incredibly dry and after each bite I had to drink cola. Terrible place, would not recommend to anyone.

Nice brand, you can find a good discount on Tuesday. Really tasty beef and chicken meats, quick service and a good choice of meals. You can self-order via machine. Only negative thing is the wrap paper was sticky to meat so eating was so hard.

A doner kebab is never going to be the most luxurious meal ever, but as far as kebabs go, this was good. Fries were all right, too. Service was pretty quick, and the price was OK. Nothing special, but good.

Tuesday orders is not as regular amount of serving on other days… Although it’s a buy 2 pay 1 promo but the serving is not enough or regular as usual…😔

I ordered mix meat, chips and cheese. The Doner meat looked like fly strips that had been hanging from the ceiling for a while, it was very dry indeed. The cheese was more like a sauce and the portion was very small. The chips where ok. I was very shocked for £7, but I was hungry and didn't complain, I just thought I would definitely not go back there again. Sorry, just being honest with my experience.

I don’t like to leave bad reviews but Unfortunately, I received food poisoning after eating food from this restaurant and am extremely poorly, I believe it was the only food I ate that day and after a couple of hours and next day had symptoms :(
