Oodles Chinese in Derby

The food is amazing and the people working there are extremely helpful. However they never pick up phone calls which can get a bit frustrating if I want something changed or want to order for collection. Please answer your calls.

Ordered on uber eats 10 mins before closing. They accepted order and took my money. Did not deliver food and closed shop. Scam company will never ever order from here again!

Their taste is really nice but the value of the money is not good. The portion of the food is not satisfactory. There isn't much difference between large and medium food boxes. But the taste is really good.

ricky has the best customer service always kind and helpfull, cheerfull and fun. all the staff are always a big help.

Ordered food for a business lunch for 16 people , food arrived in good time for saying it was delivered on a bike and was still hot. Everyone said how nice their food was and we will all be definitely ordering again

Fresh comfort food after a long day. Monday to Wednesday in store deal on Regular Boxes is amazing. Definitively recommend this store and the awesome guys that work there.

Really disappointed, after ordering didn’t get any confirmation waited 40mins then called and asked about the order the person who answered was disrespectful did not listen and we heard laughs in the background he hang up we tried calling again no one answered. Our order has not arrived but money was taken off. Emailed few times aswell and nothing. Found out that this also happened to few of my family members. I don’t recommend it the service is really bad they just ignore you but take money!

Ordered through just eat…& for the second time on the trot….my order ended up in littleover but this time the gentleman at littleover brought my food to my address in mickleover! For nearly 45 min I have tried ringing the restaurant with no answer!!! In future get your drivers to use postcodes!!!! This will probably be the last time I use this company….

Freshly cooked and piping hot. Lovely textures and nice meat used, beef was super tender and veggies had a good crunch. Bright clean premises and loved the concept of choosing a few different things so you tick all those taste boxes you want!

Horrendous experience. Delivered the wrong order. Would not sort it out & Just wanted to argue with me on the phone, shouting ‘listen to me’ over over, again. I tasted the small wrong order which was delivered and it was disgusting, soggy chips, full of chilli & chewy chicken. 😟

Worst meal I've ever had 😂 paid £15 for a "large" box it was tiny and half full. The katsu chicken curry was just chunks of chicken no curry sauce. Was dry and flavourless so so disappointed will never order again

4.3*…? You gotta be kidding me. Spent £31.00 on two medium boxes and 10 spring rolls, and lo and behold you sent me two kids meal. Thanks(Handshake) I would have accepted being scammed out of £31 and not received anything at all. You can’t be Chinese!

Food is always fab but the portion size keeps getting smaller and smaller. A large now is half the size of what it used to be. When it costs £28 for a delivery for 2 people and they're still hungry after, it's more than a little disappointing.

The quality and taste of their dishes are truly exceptional, leaving me craving for more with every bite. Only problem I had was finding parking but that's all of Normanton Rd.

I ordered a box of sweet and sour chicken, veg noodles, and crispy prawn from Oodles Chinese Food over the phone, and it was fantastic! The flavors were on point, and the food arrived promptly. Highly recommended!

Every single time I order from these there all ways something up you are waiting 2 hours for your food every time you order and the service on the phone is appalling

The portions are getting smaller and prices are going up- can’t find the chicken in the noodles. These guys are stretching Cost of Living reason to reduce the portion and content! Don’t order the new wraps - virtually no filling in them - just bread! Really disappointed- unless they change back to the content and quality as before I want be ordering!!! Ap

Food is reasonable but the customer service is horrendous! They look at you in a funny way everytime, not the first time this has happened which really puts you off from coming.

Don’t know who made this food but it was terrible. Way to spicy no one in the world could handle the spice level. Taste absolutely bad couldn’t even finish it.

I ordered some food yesterday from oodles and it took a while longer than expected. I was called and spoke to a staff member named Ricky who was exceptionally polite. This staff member provided me with excellent customer service despite my heated complaint about the delivery being further delayed. Ricky informed me that he would rather my order be slightly delayed instead of being driven around Derby and delivered to me cold. As promised the food was piping hot and tasted delicious. Can't wait to order again 😁

Very very slow service. It’s a Saturday afternoon and they still take an hour and a half to deliver with no courtesy calls had to chase it up to be told it’s going to take more time!! Very rude! The food is good overall…. Well cold in my case as it took forever to come… but order way in advance or you’ll be disappointed. Or order with Uber as clearly they get more attention … although cost more!

After being over pricedfor quite a while Oodles has done well to reduce its prices and also its confusing menu. It has finally fixed the over priced over filled boxes. And to top it off its 2 boxes 2 drinks for 9.99 on a Tuesday! Great food but also now great deals and prices

Don’t use the place, it’s so spicy for dishes that are given one chilli for spice are so hot that they have swollen our lips, it’s awful please don’t order from this place.

This was the worst place I’ve ever eaten. One mouthful and your mouth is on fire…. rang and they couldn’t do anything told to contact Uber? Confusion as Uber didn’t make the food?????? 40£££ may as well have chucked it down the drain outside. I’ve had Chinese food before and never had it that spicy. They obviously don’t know how to make these dishes. Do not order from waste of money.

DONT ORDER !🌶️biting into the salt and pepper chicken was like chewing on a chilli ,I’ve always had salt and pepper chicken and it never tasted like that ! No help when we called they said there was no issue as they say it was medium spice ,so if you like eating pure chillis then order from here.oh and no need to get lip filler after this order because my lips were twice the size !

Terrible food. Missing items in my uber eats order. Refusing to refund me despite photographic evidence they missed half my order. Horrible service and what did turn up wasn't even nice.

2022 - Tried calling to put and order through for collection. Call gets picked up and then call ends. No improvement in service!! 2017 - Been before and the food is good but service is mis-managed. Sat here at the moment for 30 mins still waiting to be served just because 1 person had a big order.

Ordered 2 medium boxes from Uber. Smaller than small boxes arrived in some rubbish World Cup packaging. No remorse when contacted. Awful service by Uber. You pay over the odds for using them (around a £1 more per box) and then a service fee and then delivery charge. Over £25 for 2 people and get food that’s just enough for my cat. Lack of remorse and dishonesty by Oodles. Very poor.

Every single time I buy from here I never receive any utilities.Am I supposed to use my hands?I had to go all the way downstairs to get my utilities which is very inefficient. They charge 10p for bags which I think is overpriced there food is very expensive more expensive then the actual Chinese takeaway place and u can get more from there as well

Very rude staff ( the lady ) no manners whatsoever. She's clearly not happy with her job ! Banging everything on the counter if your serving a customer atleast be polite it's all about customer service. Further more all chefs have no hair nets or beard nets very unhygienic as they all hairy !!!! While packing food and cooking everyone is talking over food which is disgusting as their germs are flying all over, also they shouldn't be eating while cooking. The place is dirty very dirty, buffet glass hasn't been cleaned in ages !!!

Shock horror very cold cold and cold taste vile. Put the lot in the bin. Never going there again looked like slops go somewhere else. Avoid avoid. Manager will say it was not cold but he will say its wasn't it was nasty end offfffff...

Always spot on, used to be able to order 2 dry dishes in the create your own box on the website instead of having to choose 1 saucy and 1 dry but cant anymore since the new website, would love if that was added back & as an option on uber as I prefer having the 2 dry dishes

Dont bother orded for delivery took over to hours to get an update that the foid was out for delivery and then it still didnt turn up. Rang them twice to find out where the driver was and got told to wait longer, and call back if still not arrived. When we called again we was fobbed off with, there was nothing they could do as they were closing and couldnt contact the driver as they had no number for him will never order again over 20 pound out of pocket for food we didnt get

I had high hopes but was really disappointed. Ordered vegetable rice, vegetables noodles & teriyaki chicken + vegetable spring rolls. The spring rolls were missing altogether. The box was just all mixed together and covered in generic chilli sauce. The chicken was just battered pieces, no teriyaki, and everything was just covered in the same basic too-spicy sauce you can buy in any supermarket. For £17 for one person, its way overpriced and really disappointing. Rickshaw in town is far better.

Ordered noodles egg fried rice with bbq chicken and salt and pepper, way to spicy, I rang them back as I expected to taste bbq chicken that's not spicy then some tasty salt and pepper chicken but they said the salt and pepper chicken made it spicy 🤣 really salt and pepper chicken don't have chilli in it, go to a real Chinese then you will know.. my food is covered in chilli sauce my noodles and rice soaked it up what a waste of money.. if ut is the salt and pepper that makes it spicy then call it salt and chill chicken, no exspect to have spicy chicken when ordering salt and pepper absolute joke! And not to many I have 3 pieces of crispy chicken, my fella had no crispy chicken.

dont have ingredients on deliveroo so had sesame seeds all over my food and had to throw the food away ): so please put ingredients on delivery apps
