Oriental Chef in Derby

All I can say is that I ordered from this restauraunt by accident thinking it was my local one at Swanwick 10 miles away. My mistake and I was quite prepared to take the hit as I had prepaid via Justeat. (Scotland had just won against Fiji so I was off my game! 😁) Anyway. Called the restauraunt when I realised (trying to collect from my local). A reallly nice lady who was very understanding. A full refund via Justeat. Which I didn't expect as it was totally my fault. Full credit to this restauraunt. I will make a special trip to order from them in future. Thank you so much. A+++

Great portion sizes, very tasty

Beautifully hot, steak was succulent and tasty. Asked for less spicy and no peppers and request was followed.

Ordered a takeaway...it arrived 2 hours late. All preheated . Absolutely shocking service. Rang up and they just said it on the way. Don't lie just tell truth if you cant deliver on time . Would add photo of food but we still waiting .

Great taste. Food was sat waiting and I picked up early so was losing a bit of heat by the time I got home (2 mins after collecting). Very flavoursome though Free popsdoms - thanks

When ordering was expecting a 60-75 minute wait. Food arrived after 1 hour 40 minutes. Lemon sauce was really thin and watery. A real shame as we've ordered from here before and never had any problems. Maybe if you can't deliver within an hour, perhaps don't accept the orders.

Disgusting food was uneatable we rang and asked for money back which they did minus 3.50 delivery charge and was asked to put back in containers for delivery guy to pick back up just hope its not gonna be reused BEWARE

Egg fried rice was awful quality. It was like the rice was chopped up. The chicken balls were not balls at all. Mostly long shaped batter with a square of chicken inside. The sweet n sour sauce was lukewarm and turning into jelly. We usually go to another Chinese in the area which happened to be closed today. Collection is rated great because we collected it and it was cooked on time.

Friday night treat 😋 excellent food arrived nice and hot our favourite Chinese delivered early love it.

Had food from here before and its always very enjoyable and always nice and hot when delivered will be using again.

The special curry seemed to be missing half of the meat as it was all sauce and the crispy duck was chopped into tiny pieces instead of shredded and the cucumber was slimy and horrible. The food took nearly 2 hours to arrive and wasn't hot, a very disappointing Chinese.

Been ordering from here for years, delivery is always quicker than the expected time shown on Just Eat, have tried other places when this one is closed but nothing comes close, the portion sizes are massive and cheaper compared to other Chinese restaurants. Even had my family that live up north try it when they come to visit and they agree it's the best Chinese they've ever had! Would recommend to anyone and everyone!

Great food here live in oakwood but go here as topchef curry you could paste wallpaper with it that thick so worth travelling over for proper curry :)

We used to use this takeaway 40 years ago before we were married. The food then was always the best in the area. Having just moved back to Spondon we thought we would give it another go. We had Singapore chow mein, chilli chips and Yuk sung chicken with cashews. The food was amazing so fresh and tasty and delivered within 30 minutes. Don't know if it's still the same owners,but we will definitely go back for more

Always get Chinese food from here, love it, always good quality, always on time or early and the delivery drivers are always lovely.

After asking for the food to be hot the soup was just warm and the Crispy chicken was the same, this appeared to have been over cooked as the chicken was tough to chew. Last time ordering!!!

First timer as our normal Chinese was closed seen they had good reviews thought we would have ago, overall was nice salt and chilli chips and chicken chow mein was very nice, curry sauce was so nice good. Defo a good runner up to our normal place

Said the restaurant was open and wasn’t. Happily took my money and continued to say food was being prepared and also told me it was delivered. Now waited over an hour for nothing and 20 quid down.
