Ordered a variety of dishes all were absolutely bang on cannot praise them enough portions great size, food seasoned and presented well also delivered in the time frame to Chaddesden with a smile by a top bloke

Ordered a takeaway...it arrived 2 hours late. All preheated . Absolutely shocking service. Rang up and they just said it on the way. Don't lie just tell truth if you cant deliver on time . Would add photo of food but we still waiting .

This used to be a great Chinese. It's gone down hill recently but thought we would try again. The food was clearly reheated, stale and dry and the rice was a sticky blob. The chicken was fatty and had a disgusting texture. Will never go back now.

Disgusting food was uneatable we rang and asked for money back which they did minus 3.50 delivery charge and was asked to put back in containers for delivery guy to pick back up just hope its not gonna be reused BEWARE

This is the worst Chinese meal I have ever had. The chef needs to learn to cook. I will never use you again

Poor slow service, appreciate they are busy but a two hour wait is far too long, be honest from the outset regarding an eta ☹️

Waited two hours for a delivery .. called to check for update was told another 30 mins..

Been ordering from here for years, delivery is always quicker than the expected time shown on Just Eat, have tried other places when this one is closed but nothing comes close, the portion sizes are massive and cheaper compared to other Chinese restaurants. Even had my family that live up north try it when they come to visit and they agree it's the best Chinese they've ever had! Would recommend to anyone and everyone!

Great food here live in oakwood but go here as topchef curry you could paste wallpaper with it that thick so worth travelling over for proper curry :)

We used to use this takeaway 40 years ago before we were married. The food then was always the best in the area. Having just moved back to Spondon we thought we would give it another go. We had Singapore chow mein, chilli chips and Yuk sung chicken with cashews. The food was amazing so fresh and tasty and delivered within 30 minutes. Don't know if it's still the same owners,but we will definitely go back for more

First timer as our normal Chinese was closed seen they had good reviews thought we would have ago, overall was nice salt and chilli chips and chicken chow mein was very nice, curry sauce was so nice good. Defo a good runner up to our normal place

Great Chinese take away. We used to live in oakwood, now in mickleover. We still prefer to travel back and go here rather than somewhere local. I highly recommend.

Used Oriental Chef for the first time for a delivery during lockdown when our usual venue was closed, menu is extensive with lots of options, prices reasonable and with a speedy delivery of great food will be using again.

We needed a home delivery to Spondon and Oakwood at the same time, Oriental Chef managed it no problem, prompt and on time for our Zoom meal with friends to celebrate my birthday. The online menu is extensive, with a really wide range of choices which are easily ordered. Our food was delivered piping hot and was delicious with well judged flavours and perfectly cooked. Prices are competitive too.

Myself and my family have chosen recently to order from here during Lock down and we've ordered repeatedly as the food is absolutely up to standard, fresh and tasty. The customer service is also a friendly one who commicate with a happy attitude. Well done Oriental Chef, you deserve recognition and I will continue to spread the word about your fantastic Chinese.

out local Chinese not open during lockdown, as per a friends recommendation, Oriental Chef in Spondon was the new choice. Easy to order and arrange time, delivered hot and tasty, full stomachs and good food, will use again.

Always order from here as the food is delicious, never had a bad meal yet! The elderly delivery man is also an absolute sweetheart.

Singapore chow mein (surpose to have spice to it) just tasted like plain chow mein no taste what so ever. The chips were over cooked had to potato in. The curry sauce was rubbish! Has zero taste. Such a bland dish! Dont recommend at all.

Boring. No flavour. Would not recommend and will not be returning.

I use this takeaway all the time via Just Eat and the delivery is fast, staff are friendly, food is hot and really good tasting. When the Just Eat app was down I rang them as the lady on the phone was really polite too, and quite possible the only local takeaway that is open on a Monday! Overall a very good Chinese takeaway!

We had a takeaway on Monday 31 March 2014, the food and service were excellent. We only found them as they are one of the few local Chinese restaurants that opens on a Monday night. What a fortuitous find ....... great food and service, thank you.
