We tried the Desserts for the first time and we were not disappointed! Kids had kinder mikshake and pistachio waffle with ice cream 😋 Monmos have great food and lovely desserts. Lovely setup upstairs, friendly staff and great atmosphere Definitely recommended and will be going back again 👍

Dined in. Ordered chicken sizzler and garlic and mushroom thigh sizzler. The food was perfect no issues. Decided to try the desserts for the first time. Ordered pistachio cheesecakes. Was extremely disappointed! Tasted nothing like cheesecake for one and also half of the cheesecakes was stone cold and half warm to a point where the soft cheese was melting! No doubt the food was nice, however need to work on desserts, as small portion for a hefty price and tasted nothing like a cheesecake.

Monmos is a local secret- i was advised to visit by an uber driver who enthusiastically mentioned many items to try on the menu. I didn't fully believe the claims he made, about the pricing, quantity and quality. But. I was completely surprised to find the claims all true. The menu is large but each item carefully thought of and made. I can whole heartedly recommend all items. The price is half that of most other shops. [A lot less than what you'd expect particularly if you aren't derby native]. The atmosphere, particularly upstairs, is well curated. The staff are friendly, smiling, and accommodating. One paticular staff member, Navpreet, ensured my comfort. At one point, even when on a break, got up to ask me if everything with my food was okay. I am completely moved by the hospitality. Her smile and personable nature were infectious and greatly contributed to the atmosphere. All staff members know the menu well and are able to recall items or make recommendations. They're also flexible on orders showing that [from what I had] it was fresh. There's little else to say except IF you are buying take out, or want to sit in, in Derby. There are few reasons NOT to come to Monmos. And if you're a visitor to Derby like myself- please go it is worth it!

We ordered mix kebab for 13.49 and it dont worth the money. Nan was so dry like tandoor roti… and portion was very small. Too expensive for the portion not even enough for 1 person

Food poisoned from Monmos. Went in last Friday with a friend. Both of us suffered as a result all weekend from sickness and diarrhoea. Stomach cramps were the worst. We had peri chicken and special pizza. Put me off for life.

Ordered food at 6:08pm. And was told it will be delivered with in 50 mins. Delivery driver arrived at 7:40pm and food was cold and not what was ordered. Called back and made the complaint and was told that nothing can be done. Will never order from them again. V disappointed.

Pound for pound the best menu in Derby. You can tell they use top quality ingredients to make their food. Also brother Shoaib at the front counter is always respectful and very efficient at his job.

Used to be the best takeaway in Derby but an absolute waste of time now. Food quality has gone down but the service is just pathetic. Never again will I waste my time or money on this place.
