We arrived during a very busy 23 December and we were offered a table with only 30minutes wait. Everyone, without exception, were so friendly, warm and welcoming, particularly Beth. And the food was delicious with generous portion too. Thank you so very much indeed!!!

I recently visited for a Christmas meal and a 60th birthday celebration. The place is lovely, with a great atmosphere, and the staff, specially Beth (I think it was her) were incredibly helpful and friendly. The food came out quickly, and the Christmas menu was delicious. Overall, it was a very nice experience. The only downside was that it was a bit chilly, but it didn’t take away from the enjoyment.

Not has good as other Zizzi restaurant we have visited. Never had bruscetta served on a bread roll before that was even hard to cut through. The main courses were disappointing. The veg rubbery and covered in oil. The lasagne was far from the best my wife had tasted

Popped into Derbion for some Christmas shopping and decided to have a quick bite to eat at Zizzi. I haven't been for a long time but we were very pleasantly surprised. The food was bang on and our waitress, Jo, could not do enough for us. Really attentive, quick and smiley service.

The staff were great with children especially Beth. Food was lovely, the restaurant was a little cold but we were moved closer to the kitchen. My children loved watching the pizzas being made and were given chefs hats to decorate a great touch by Beth. We will see you in January 🩷

We arrived and the first thing i noticed was the piles and piles of dirty glasses on the bar. The lady who served us was exasperated and asked us to wait while she cleared a table. Once seated she took our drinks order and while this was being done we ordered our food with another waitress. All fish was off the menu including the Christmas specials due to the fryer being broken. It was freezing in there with most people sat in their coats. The drinks took forever to come and when she eventually arrived she only had 1. She told my husband she had ran out of ingredients for his and he needed to order something else, why this couldn't have been done whilst making mine i don't know. Everything else he picked was out of stock too so he eventually had a gin and tonic. The food arrived and the chicken squewer was a very sad looking thing. Anemic chicken and a big piece of lemon. My husband touched the chicken and it was totally cold. I had the aranchini balls which were also cold but against my better judgement and because I was starving I ate them (I learn to regret this decision). The waitress came over and took the chicken back to the kitchen to "run it through the oven again." I watched the chicken sit on the side for 5 minutes before the waitress picked it up and took it in the back. Another 5 minutes passes and she comes back out to do other jobs without the chicken. At this point I was concerned about him eating reheated sat about chicken and suggested we call it a day. My husband spoke to the front of house lady and offered to pay for the drinks. She declined and said just to leave it. She looked very much like this was a regular occurrence. This is a large restaurant with only 2 waitresses and a front of house with 2 people in the kitchen. They clearly cannot cope. It was absolutely freezing and out of stock of most things. We went away the following day and my entire holiday was spent with chronic food poisoning and the only thing I had eaten was those aranchini balls!! My holiday was ruined and a serious lesson learnt! Avoid!!!

Really didn't enjoy dining here. The service wasn't great, the food, although tasted fine was extremely small. To pay £18 for a main dish, you expect it to be of a decent size so a chicken breast cut in half and a few new potatoes on the bottom just doesn't cut it. The mocktails tasted of only soda water. Would never go here again.

Amazing service and food as usual

We arrived and sat down at table and the waitress asked if we would like a drink . We ordered our drinks . But then waited for 25 minutes before they arrived and then asked if we would like to order our food. The starter arrived very quickly within 10 minutes and was piping hot. I had calamari, and my wife had bruschetta. They both were very tasty. We then received our mains. i had a beautiful bowl of Crispy Prosciutto Carbonara that tasted amazing. My wife Deb's had Lobster Mafaldine with King Prawn Spiedini and really enjoyed it. We finished off with honeycomb cheesecake and tiramisu. That was very nice. The staff were very good, and they lost a star on the review because of the time it took to get the drinks and food order in. But the food was excellent, so it saved the meal. I would definitely recommend Zizzi's to eat.

The food was sublime and the staff were extremely pleasant (Beff, Jerry, Orshi) and very accommodating. The food was extremely palatable. I will definitely be returning. The food is very reasonably priced.

Great food the bolognese was superb loved every bite highly recommend it our server Jerry was polite and friendly, Beth and orshi both were polite and pleasant very friendly will definitely be coming back soon!

food is delicious. service in general is not nice. you have to wait ages for food and it’s not hot when it arrived on our table. I have to get my drink at the bar because it was there for long and no one is serving it. it’s not even weekend or busy.

Went to Zizzi Intu Derby for a night out / time out. 15.11.2024. Lacy served us. She was so pleasant, cheerful, gave advice about items on the menu. We could see her working hard with other customers, maintaining her kind and patient disposition. Lovely food, great menu choices. Hoping to be back soon😀Thank you. Attended a few weeks ago and Zoe looked after us. She’s so lovely, positive, bubbly, knowledgeable and really cheered us up after a rough day. Started off good, but went slightly downhill due to wait times , long wait on drinks food came in good time and tasted good , but it was very cold had to wear my jumper and needed a jacket that I didn’t have, and unfortunately that’s enough to make me not want to return

Excellent meal and our server Syanne was very attentive, kind and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. It was very busy at the time but she went that extra mile to keep us advised of the wait.

Attended zizzis for a family birthday meal 1st November 2024. There were 6 of us attending and unfortunately one of the meals was incorrect, it was quickly rectified and we were able to keep the incorrect item also!! They corrected the mistake quickly it didn't impact our meal at all! It meant that we could all eat together as a family, which was the most important part of our meal. I am forever grateful for such a great experience especially as we were celebrating 2 of my children's birthdays that evening. The atmosphere was on point, busy for a Friday but very calm and respectful. Really enjoyed our meal, experience and staff were so helpful. Thank you.

We came to Zizzi for a family birthday meal for the six of us and we were very happy with the service and food we received. We had two wonderful servers called Lacey and holly and they were so lovely and kind. The food and drinks came really fast and we would recommend the mozzarella garlic bread, chicken Milanese and the pure pepperoni pizza. My younger brother is autistic and they were very welcoming and accommodating to his needs and would recommend zizzis as a place to go if you want a lovely family meal.

Me and my friend came in to zizzi’s today and were approached by a lovely waitress named Lacey who served us the whole time we were there and she was extremely polite and even recommended the king prawn linguine which was my favourite part of the meal! The food was amazing and my friend would definitely recommend the pollo picante.

My partner and I recently visited Derby from London and had the absolute pleasure of dining here. I cannot say enough about the incredible service we received. Zoe was friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about our experience. One of the best dining experiences I’ve had. Combine that with the delicious food, beautiful ambiance, and warm atmosphere, and I can confidently say that it is a must-visit. Orshi was also fantastic and amazing at her job, so a shout out to her as well!

Beths face lit up the entire restaurant. Isla who was on the door was prompt, with our server Holly being FAB throughout, her knowledge of the menu was amazing. Shout out to the kitchen for making my chocolate Sunday in a bowl, due to being picky 🙈. The manger Orshi was extremely nice and welcoming, Zac on the bar couldn't fault.

Holly’s and Isla’s service was absolutely outstanding. Holly was a fabulous server making us laugh. Zac’s drinks were perfect, he got us drunk. The kitchens food was incredible and delicious. Definitely recommend 15/10

Amazing Food was absolutely delicious, one of the best meals eaten out in a while. Good value for money, even our 15 month old loved it. The staff was amazing and just overall great service.

Danny, was very attentive and made excellent recommendations of the menu. The service was really great. I started with a cherry mocktail- a lovely refreshing drink. My starter was a delicious mushroom brindisi and my main course was a speciality venison rustica pizza.The flavours in each dish were perfectly balanced, and the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh. The food and service was truly exceptional, I cannot wait to come back.

50 minutes for one pizza, one sea bass and one child's menu when the restaurant was not even half full. For us it meant that when the food arrived, our kid was tired and only wanted to sleep. He barely touched his food and we had to quickly finish ours as he was getting grumpier and grumpier. Food is nice, but no way a flat medium-sized pizza with all it's ingredients right on the middle (guys, you were given hands to extend ingredients; do not be scared of using them) and 50 minutes wait is worth almost 18 bloody pounds. Ridiculous. Just another posh and pricey place for your pictures on Instagram. We had to ask twice for the bill by the way.

Absolutely appalling customer service. My pizza was missing ingredients and the response from the management (Beth?) was absolutely shocking. Such a shame as I have been a regular customer of zizzi over the years. But recently there has been too many issues.

Came here for a desserts and the service was wonderful. didn’t complain that we only got desserts and they even wrote a birthday message on the dessert belonging to who's birthday it was. I think our server was Fern and she was lovely, she was really sweet and soft talking and made us feel really welcome

Visited for a family birthday this evening in a group of 12. From start to finish a terrible experience. Sat down at booked table just after 4 and didn’t leave till quarter to 7. After 10/15 minutes when she eventually came over our first waitress who I think was the manager was rude and stood at the far end of the table to take drinks orders struggling to hear us and failing to smile once. Food was extremely slow and came separately so that for all three courses we felt like we were eating separately. Kids starters arrived before adult drinks, two kids meals arrived first, then the other kids meals and they had all nearly finished by the time adult meals arrived. Not all plates were cleared. Four kids puddings appeared but we had to ask for fifth, one of adults puddings was forgotten. We gave up on the kids hot drink that was included as kids very unsettled after so long in restaurant. No apologies at any point for the wait or serving meals separately. Family member paying felt too nervous to say anything but on getting home we have noticed we were over charged as they had not put through the set menu properly. We were never asked we wanted more drinks, we had to ask for everything including cutlery and napkins after each course. Food was ok but nothing special and the poor service spoilt a special occasion. Would never return or recommend.

Had a great late lunch, food was good, warm, and plenty of toppings! They also have some vegan options which my friend really enjoyed (Vegan Harissa Meatball pizza and Bruchetta pics are the vegan options.) Our server Jerry was attentive to our needs, she made sure we had everything we needed, and was friendly : )

Really nice restaurant and service was great😄. Lasagne I had was seriously delicious, the calamari I got with it was nice but pretty cold (had obviously been left out) but waitress reheated for me very quickly so all good. Also pizza order for my friend was messed up but was handled really well by the staff: she was ecstatic to go home with an extra pizza 😆 🍕. Overall really nice food, and although some issues they were dealt with well so was happy to leave a tip 😌 and would like to come back.

Went for some me time. Had a gorgeous carbonara and calamari. Was served by the lovely Lacey who was so attentive and helped me out with a discount due to a misunderstanding on my part even when she didn’t need to. As always, Zoe is also brilliant, I believe she was the manager on shift and I just think she’s ace!

Syanne was lovely, attentive and gave great customer service, as did Zoe. The food is always excellent but we really enjoyed the sharer! Even got my tomato hating husband to like tomatoes! Overall excellent meal! Thank you very much ☺️

Visited Zizzis at Derbion twice in six months on visits to the area. On both occasions we were served memorably by Zoe. She is knowledgeable, funny, engaged, and hugely enthusiastic. She makes the dining experience a pleasure, and will ensure we continue to visit when we make our twice-yearly trips to the area.
