Isla was exceptional She really took time out to engage with us and make our meal special.

Amy was really friendly and accommodating. The food was amazing.

We had our starters and drinks promptly. However our mains were delayed. We waited 45 minutes before asking. We were told they would be 8 minutes. It was clear they had forgotten us and had to start cooking then. What would have happened if we hadn’t asked? My ravioli di Capra was undercooked. Our seats were right by the roll squeezed in. The meal was not worth the money. It was supposed to be a relaxing experience for my teenage daughter who is struggling with anxiety. It was anything but relaxing.

High quality food with great taste and good portion size. Service was fantastic. Lacey was amazing.

Great food (tried the chorizo mozzarella bombe - delicious, followed by lasagne then tiramisu). Good wine. Great atmosphere. Excellent service from Shannon and Amy. A superb lunch!

Lovely food and service. Unfortunately they automatically add on an 'optional' service tip if over 6 guests but that can be removed. Syanne was so friendly and it felt like nothing was any trouble. Will definitely return

Brilliant service from Isla very friendly and great food

We were in Derby for one evening and were looking for a bite to eat. On first arriving at Zizzu, my wife and I were warmly greeted by ZOE and quickly shown to a table where ZOE and her team (including JERRY) were so friendly, helpful and kind in providing great food and even better service! As I said to ZOE, the food was wonderful but what made it a great & memorable dining experience for my wife and I was the wonderful service by all the team! We have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant and will certainly visit again when in Derby. THANK YOU ZOE & CO, we had a really good time and your efforts were noted and appreciated! I recently ordered a pizza from Zizzi, and I have to say, it was one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had with a pizza. When I collected and brought it home and opened the box, I was shocked to see that the pizza was completely burnt. The edges were charred, and the bottom was so overcooked that it was practically inedible.

We were given great service by Isia, the food was also great and a good choice of drink, 10/10 overall

We booked in the day before, and when we arrived we were greeted with a smile and felt immediately this was a good choice. We were taken to our seat and Lacey asked if we would like some drinks. We were a group of four, three of us had been to Zizzi before, one had not. The choice of food was great and we ordered quickly, as drink arrived shortly after ordering. Lacey was very attentive and smiley. The food arrived in good time and in no time the table was quiet as we all tucked into our food, three of us had Pasta, one had fish. It was so delicious. Top marks to Lacey who made us very welcome, was friendly and made everything very smooth. Great food, excellent service and a wonderful evening. Thank you Lacey and Zizzi

We decided to treat ourselves to dessert at Zizzi before going to see a film. It wasn't particularly busy, but there seemed to be a lack of staff. We were waiting for ages when we walked in and there's nothing to tell you whether you have to wait to be seated or if you can pick a table. Several others after us started to wait and then just picked their own table. The menu at Zizzi is large and there's a good choice of veggie, vegan and gluten-free options. We only wanted a quick dessert and ordered the salted caramel chocolate brownie and 3 scoops of gelato. Desserts are £5.50 - £7.75. They had run out of several flavours of gelato. The brownie was ok, but I wouldn't rush back for it. The gelato also wasn't the best. It satisfied the sweet craving after the overly salty food we'd had before at the food court opposite, but we'd try somewhere else next time.

Brought my nephew in for a treat on 17/2/25. A treat he had to wait 45 minutes after they decided our garlic bread was a starter when we didn't even ask for it as a starter? And to top it all off my favourite meal i thought I'd get in Derby ziziis with the prawns on a skewer... Gave me food poisoning. It's almost 21/2/25 and I'm still recovering! Never had food poisoning this bad before! Let's just say I will be keeping myself and my family away from this ziziis!! Never again!!

My son’s pizza he absolutely loved. The chicken starter was great but mushrooms disappointing hence 4 stars not 5. Isla was lovely and very helpful.

Really great visit to Zizzi restaurant today. We hadn't booked, but the lovely lady (Zoe), said she could get us in in 30 min, that was fine with us, and actually ended up being only 20 min. She then explained clearly how I could access the gluten free menu and there were a good selection of choices. We all ended up choosing pizza in the end with Zoe again being brilliant and noting my extra intolerance to mushroom that isn't a standard for kitchen. Two pizzas arrived in good time with an explanation that mine would be a bit delayed as she has asked the kitchen to make it again as the cheese had burnt, which was nice and the pizza ended up being delightful. Overall it was a great meal and Zoe went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time.

Booked table for 3 at 20:00. Waited twenty minutes to be seated, just to be told that there is no available table. Ruined our night. Cannot say anything about the food, as we didn‘t even have a chance to taste it. Worst part was that all other places were already closed or not accepting food orders.

Been here before and never had an issue with the food/ service. Taking into account of it being Valentine’s Day we booked a table for 8:30 and had to wait an extra 15 minutes to be seated, Ordered the Wagyu arrabbiata which was accepted. 5 minutes before our food came out a server told me they had just ran out of wagyu so would normal meatballs be okay, I didn’t have a menu so blindly accepted, the replacements were just balls of nothing. There was no taste just texture of peppers inside to the point we questioned if they were veggie ones. Upon asking for the bill I informed the server that they really weren’t the best especially charged at the same price as wagyu and she apologised and told me they ran out of them at 5pm… if this was the case why was my order accepted and I not be informed sooner. Very poor from zizzi’s this time.

Stopped at Zizzi for lunch on my own . Been seated very quick and service was amazing especially from Radka. Definitely will return 🫶

We had a lovely meal at Zizzi in Derby. Had two amazing Lemon Drizzle Martinis, and an amazing truffle pizza The service from Isla was brilliant - absolutely stunning girl!

Food took over 45 mins to arrive, which was just difficult having a hungry toddler- but also no prior warning. I had to ask where our mains were and it was only then I was informed about kitchen staff being short. Service was good generally, perhaps could have cleared tables quicker and been a bit more available but clearly just need more staff. Staff were friendly and helpful when asked. Although we never got our water haha . Great vegan options (the special was delicious )and good value for money on the lunch deal, just a shame about the long wait, but I appreciate they were understaffed.

Nice service and interior. The food itself is average and a little bit over priced for what you get. Pizza definitely need more cheese on it, because you can see empty spaces… also if you add extra toppings you get very very little of it… :)

Decent food, friendly service but fairly slow

I don't tend to leave reviews unless exceptionally good or in this case exceptionally bad. I can honestly say this was one of the worst meals iv ever had and other diners felt the same. The pizza was absolutely shocking. Covered in semolina/polenta. Under cooked and was like a flatbread. So thin but not In a good way. Toppings were mediocre. Sauce acidic and crust dreadful. Service was slow and poor. No check backs to see of the food was ok. My son refused to eat the pizza as it tasted bad. Drinks were warm. Iv visited zizis a few times over the years and pizza was always fairly good. But after this visit I will never go back. And also just for clarity, we are all italian with Italian parents and we love pizza. Awful awful awful!

We arrived during a very busy 23 December and we were offered a table with only 30minutes wait. Everyone, without exception, were so friendly, warm and welcoming, particularly Beth. And the food was delicious with generous portion too. Thank you so very much indeed!!!

I recently visited for a Christmas meal and a 60th birthday celebration. The place is lovely, with a great atmosphere, and the staff, specially Beth (I think it was her) were incredibly helpful and friendly. The food came out quickly, and the Christmas menu was delicious. Overall, it was a very nice experience. The only downside was that it was a bit chilly, but it didn’t take away from the enjoyment.

Not has good as other Zizzi restaurant we have visited. Never had bruscetta served on a bread roll before that was even hard to cut through. The main courses were disappointing. The veg rubbery and covered in oil. The lasagne was far from the best my wife had tasted

Popped into Derbion for some Christmas shopping and decided to have a quick bite to eat at Zizzi. I haven't been for a long time but we were very pleasantly surprised. The food was bang on and our waitress, Jo, could not do enough for us. Really attentive, quick and smiley service.

The staff were great with children especially Beth. Food was lovely, the restaurant was a little cold but we were moved closer to the kitchen. My children loved watching the pizzas being made and were given chefs hats to decorate a great touch by Beth. We will see you in January 🩷

Really didn't enjoy dining here. The service wasn't great, the food, although tasted fine was extremely small. To pay £18 for a main dish, you expect it to be of a decent size so a chicken breast cut in half and a few new potatoes on the bottom just doesn't cut it. The mocktails tasted of only soda water. Would never go here again.

We arrived and the first thing i noticed was the piles and piles of dirty glasses on the bar. The lady who served us was exasperated and asked us to wait while she cleared a table. Once seated she took our drinks order and while this was being done we ordered our food with another waitress. All fish was off the menu including the Christmas specials due to the fryer being broken. It was freezing in there with most people sat in their coats. The drinks took forever to come and when she eventually arrived she only had 1. She told my husband she had ran out of ingredients for his and he needed to order something else, why this couldn't have been done whilst making mine i don't know. Everything else he picked was out of stock too so he eventually had a gin and tonic. The food arrived and the chicken squewer was a very sad looking thing. Anemic chicken and a big piece of lemon. My husband touched the chicken and it was totally cold. I had the aranchini balls which were also cold but against my better judgement and because I was starving I ate them (I learn to regret this decision). The waitress came over and took the chicken back to the kitchen to "run it through the oven again." I watched the chicken sit on the side for 5 minutes before the waitress picked it up and took it in the back. Another 5 minutes passes and she comes back out to do other jobs without the chicken. At this point I was concerned about him eating reheated sat about chicken and suggested we call it a day. My husband spoke to the front of house lady and offered to pay for the drinks. She declined and said just to leave it. She looked very much like this was a regular occurrence. This is a large restaurant with only 2 waitresses and a front of house with 2 people in the kitchen. They clearly cannot cope. It was absolutely freezing and out of stock of most things. We went away the following day and my entire holiday was spent with chronic food poisoning and the only thing I had eaten was those aranchini balls!! My holiday was ruined and a serious lesson learnt! Avoid!!!

We arrived and sat down at table and the waitress asked if we would like a drink . We ordered our drinks . But then waited for 25 minutes before they arrived and then asked if we would like to order our food. The starter arrived very quickly within 10 minutes and was piping hot. I had calamari, and my wife had bruschetta. They both were very tasty. We then received our mains. i had a beautiful bowl of Crispy Prosciutto Carbonara that tasted amazing. My wife Deb's had Lobster Mafaldine with King Prawn Spiedini and really enjoyed it. We finished off with honeycomb cheesecake and tiramisu. That was very nice. The staff were very good, and they lost a star on the review because of the time it took to get the drinks and food order in. But the food was excellent, so it saved the meal. I would definitely recommend Zizzi's to eat.
