I recently put out an ad for catering services for a family party and Singhs Restaurant reached out. The deadline was tight so I was worried it couldn’t be accommodated. But the team were fantastic, they offered a great deal based on the food I ordered and even made 2 deliveries for when the food was needed to serve. An all round success and we will definitely be using their services again. A huge thank you to you and your team Varinder. The feedback on the food was fantastic and everyone enjoyed it.

Nice and cosy local Indian restaurant. Feels like I'm in Punjab when inside. Good food, Cobra on draught. Will probably be my local go to for a curry. Look forward to trying different items on the menu. Staff are very friendly and helpful

I’ve ordered food a number of times and always enjoyed it, being able to have meals with proper vegetables. My husband ate food from here for the first time and his reaction to the samosa chaat was literally “that’s the best thing we’ve ordered”

Been taken over again and again....few parking spaces and same layout as past ....average prices;Madras was ok but huge chunks of chicked,very bitty and watery curry....Garlic nan was very greasy....fries and rice were nice.....chef needs to up his game ....or another take over....do the right thing 👍

Friendly family run restaurant that seems to have bought out the initial Italian restaurant there previously. We only ordered the Indian food and it was super tasty. Many might find it odd that it has a mixed Indian and Italian menu but if you look beyond that, it’s a hard working, friendly place run by authentic people and there’s effort put into what’s placed on your table.

Will order again, hot food, proper chicken strips and on time. Well recommended!

Really nice traditional punjabi food with a twist. Masala fish and mix grills were lovely. Nice non greasy currys. We all really enjoyed it and we are fussy with this type of food. We’ll be back. No idea where the bad review came from.

Was expecting a fairly decent meal but instead after arriving late the meal was cold and the tray was actually swimming in a pool of grease so it's fair to say disappointed was an understatement 😒

Had an 80th birthday party at Italian Cucina in July 2023, the restaurant was beautifully decorated and the food was perfect. The food was so amazing that we decided to use them for a home catering family event which was very short notice, Manju and the team were incredibly accommodating to dietary requirements including gluten intolerances. The food arrived hot, on time and was a mix of mixed grill, Indian curries and pizza. All of the guests commented on how amazing the food was. We would definitely order from Italian Cucina again and recommend them for anyone to use in the future. Thank you to the whole team. Jay

Indians trying to make Italian cuisine... On the menu there are 3 or 4 improvised dishes which are Italian otherwise all the rest of the menu is Indian. Very pronounced curry smell in the restaurant. If you want to have dinner with a group of people and you think that some people will not like Indian dishes, there is lasagna...

It was a very good experience to have a freshly cooked Indian vegetarian 3 course meal at Italian Cucina restaurant in Sinfin area of Derby. The food was just like home cooked food with amazing taste. Samosa chat was delicious and the main meal was also very tasty and good. The owner was very nice and even as a big group of more than 30 friends, we were served extremely well. Thank you! Next time we can try their Italian dishes.

I've been eating here for five months now probably even longer the food is immaculate and tasty especially there samosa Chaat one of my comfort foods and my go to favourite snack at Italian cucina ...... Also there butter chicken and garlic naan is to die for 🤤🤌 hits the perfect craving spot!!

Nice place to dine in. Friendly staff and homely food. Great Samosa Chaat. Did not expect Indian food but when i got there my eyes fell on the Samosa chaat in the menu and it was amazing. Was served a massive portion. I'd definitely visit and recommend this restaurant.

Wow, what a place. I discovered this on Just eat, not hoping for much but was blown away by the taste and quality of food here! I ordered pizza, pasta, and lamb curry while I was severely hungover. The lamb curry tasted authentic and the best I have had than any other takeaway, full of flavour and spices. The pizza was delicious too, Italian style as I expected from a place with an Italian name. Since then, I have visited this place on 3 other occasions so a raving review was long overdue. The quality has remained consistent. I have had the chicken curry as well and that too hit the spot. The owners are friendly and hospitable every time I have gone over to collect. If you like real Indian food, then this is the little hidden gem of Derby you need to visit! You won’t be disappointed .

Absolutely delicious food. Can't believe I hadn't heard of this place earlier. Looks a little dated on the outside so dont be put off, the inside and the food are beyond expectations! We had pizza along with some of the indo Chinese food and I can't wait to go back for more.

Best takeaway I’ve had in ages! The chicken curry and Daal fry was just so tasty, I had to call the restaurant to say how nice it was.

We were in Derby for the day and needed somewhere to eat. We don't know the area or where any restaurants were so we relied on Google and found Italian Cucina. After a little concern about the outside area we entered the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. It looks newly refurbished or they just really look after the place well. I am a restaurateur and have no complaints whatsoever. Extremely clean. Excellent friendly service. And we totally loved the food! We were eight guests and all our food was perfect. No complaints. Very tasty. A great combination of food on the menu. Personally I wouldn't have minded seeing a burger or chicken burger on the menu, but that's just me. We will certainly visit this restaurant every time we are in Derby. Keep up the great service and delicious food. 👍 5 stars .

Ordered 4 times. First time, found hair in my pizza. Second time, hair in chicken wings and TODAY i found hair on the bell peppers in the pizza. Absolutely shocking. Will not be ordering again. Also the pizza is very sloppy and bland. No italian seasoning at all. Good for if you want really cheap food but not worth it really. Along with all of this, when i told the lady today that i wanted to check the food before i pay her, she was very rude. Very blunt and arrogant saying that they’ve never had a problem before, which is a lie since i’ve complained many times before, hoping hygiene will be improved, I was wrong though. Hygiene is the main concern and i would advise that you don’t order pizza from here.

Myself and my family have been coming to this fantastic restaurant for many months, and not once has this disappointed. The staff are extremely welcoming nothing is to much trouble at all, and we are so happy this little gem of a restaurant is not far from us. The food is delicious and every meal we have had has been to an excellent standard, this is when we have gone to the restaurant or had a take away. I have recommended this restaurant to my friends and they have come and seen for themselves and again they have not been disappointed at all. This family fun business needs the recognition it deserves, as from the outside it looks like a take away, but you are pleasantly surprised that inside is this lovely restaurant that serves alcoholic drinks which is a bonus as well as soft drinks. We are looking forward to plenty more visits in 2023

The food was really nice as always but with one exception, the chicken Tikka masala, I've had this dish for many years from many different places and never have I had it with this much salt in it, way way over the top!

Cheap indian and italian restaurant. 12 inch pizza 7 pounds. Food cooked fresh to order. Genuine indian. Great tikka starter and mains. Drinks cheap too.

Had a take away on Saturday the 8th Oct can only say it was the worst takeaway I’ve had in a long time 😞Curry far too hot and we requested it medium , the Tandoori Chicken was too hot and salty and wasn’t like any Tandoori I’d had before and the Naan bread was thin and tasteless, not something I wish to repeat

First time ordering, What fantastic food and service! Food was a bit late however I was given a courtesy call in good time to let me know. The food arrived piping hot and tasted amazing. 1 mistake with part of the order was rectified within 15 mins when speaking with the gent at the restaurant. What a fantastic place, will definitely be ordering from here again

We have been here 4 time's now and tried different dishes every time. My favourite dishes are the samosa chaat for starter then the butter chicken, mushroom rice and chilli and onion naan which is nothing shy as some of the best Indian food I've had. It is a hidden gem tucked away not far from where I live so walking distance and no more going into town for a quality curry. The people who run the restaurant are a family and very passionate about the successfulness of their business and I wish them all the best for the future.

Curry was very salty, I was unable to finish the meal but the nan bread was lovely!

There's a difference between food cooked to please vegetarians and food cooked so you don't have to turn away a vegetarian. This was the latter.

So this is a tough one to review, simply because it is so obviously a small family run restaurant. The majority of the reviews for this place are either fake from relatives or friends, or alternate accounts of the owners, based on repeated language use. I was duped into seeing a number of positive reviews without actually reading them and went along with my family. We sat ourselves down and waited. And waited. And waited. We were asked if we were ready for our menus after 15 minutes of waiting. Rule number 1) provide menus when seating guests and rule 2) take drinks order within five minutes of seating guests or immediately after. So we waited some more. And more. We had to call the waitress over to ask for soft drinks. The poppadoms we asked for were clearly not freshly made, nor were they made at the restaurant, but supermarket poppadoms. The sauces they were provided with really tasted disgusting. We weren't provided with plates to eat our poppadoms over so the crumbs went all over the placemats. We eventually ordered our mains. Everything except one of my son's meals came out. We were all done eating by the time his meal was bought out. During that time, customers had come in, ordered food and left with their orders. The food itself wasn't great. The menu was a mish-mash of Italian and Indian food. Neither of which should exist on the same menu. The chicken used in my tagliatelle dish was sliced tandoori chicken normally used in kebabs, wraps etc. Me and my son ordered different tagliatelle dishes. Mine was advertised with bacon and chicken and my son's wasn't. Both dishes came out with chicken and bacon, just in different sauces and about 35 minutes apart. Lastly, I was asked if everything was okay or if I had any complaints. Those should have been self explanatory. Can I suggest that the owners visit a sit-down restaurant and take notes on what's supposed to happen and in what order? I think it'll be a good starting point. Also, the menu needs to be succinct to the theme of the restaurant. A place called Italian Cucina should serve Italian food, not Indian. Find a theme that works and stick with it.
