The Mixing House in Derby

Visited today for a works do and booked the bottomless brunch. Drinks were fast flowing however there was definitely no alcohol in them as after 10 drinks, we all left stone cold sober. The food portions were really small and although very nice, not really value for money. After our final drink and asking for the bill we waited over an hour for someone to actually come over and take payment. Quite disappointed and would likely not return.

Literally empty for the boujee brunch not a soul in there. At 1pm! paid £27 each and bought 2 cocktails before we started at £13 and left stone cold sober. Spent £40 each and didn't even get tipsy and we rarely drink! I drank 5/6 drinks in that 90 mins plus 2 cocktails before we started usually I'd be very merry! Very disappointed definitely no alcohol or very little in the drinks. Won't be coming back. Server was lovely. She did a great job but the drinks were watered down to the point we gave up and went elsewhere after. Don't waste your money on bottomless brunch unless you like non alcoholic brunch of course.

We hosted a baby shower here this weekend and couldn't have asked for a better experience, besides a lovely venue, the staff couldn't of been more helpful, one of the owners personally helped with setting up, clearing up and honestly nothing was too much trouble. To top it off the drinks at the bar were 241 all day which has meant lots of guests saying they can't wait to go back. I will 100% be having events here in the future and thank you for enabling us to have such a special and memorable event :)

Amazing bar with amazing deals! Their events are top tier and their staff didn’t disappoint when it came to looking after our group. Would 100%recommend.

Racist staff horrible place would never go back!

Great drinks, great food, cracking staff & awesome atmosphere. The 241 drinks deal on Sundays seals the deal. Fantastic place.

Most horrible experience so far in derby… Either they where where horribly insensitive or racist We where group of 6 who booked for an event infact today 25th for £44 which was supposed to entertain with punjabi music which was supposed to start 10:30pm We reached around 10:45pm, 6 of us started having some fun and ordering drinks By that time no punjabi music was playing.. So technically they where behind the schedule… Nevertheless , we managed We got drinks, and started in dance floor Unfortunately one of our friends slipped a glass and they didnt allowed us back We agreed and apologised for mistake, slipping glass can happen to anyone But it was so badd

Been in here a few times, tonight was by far the best!! SHOUT OUT to the SATURDAY NIGHT STAFF!!

We only stayed here for a drink and to utilise the roof top bar. It was fine for a sunny afternoon and there was also a BOGOF deal going on until 5pm which made two pints for £5.75 a very good deal. 👍🏻

Cocktails had good amount of alcohol in. Nachos were good. Just needed. Afew more jalapenos :) nice terrace upstairs

Came for bottomless brunch with a friend! The service was ONIT refilling and very attentive! Food was lovely! Was £35 per head but we had all the drinks twice in a 90mins seating! Fries and halloumi was extra!

Nice venue, drinks are a bit pricey but as someone who is disabled & doesn't go out very often. It was nice to have a fully accessible establishment & the disabled toilet was very clean. Which is always a pleasant surprise..👍

Great atmosphere, freaking amazing cocktails and some pretty delicious tacos (don’t forget a side of halloumi fries)…yum

Some good cocktails here. However the highlight is the food. Tacos, halloumi and loaded nachos were absolutely delicious.

2 4 £12 cocktails. They cocktails were good for the price and lots of places to take pictures in and around the venue. We had to order at the bar, no table service. Not very busy for a Friday evening.

had a booking for 10 people on a Saturday night, when we turned up they had given our table away to a bigger group of people we were told to go somewhere else. the level of customer service was none excitant. not even a phone call or voice mail left to tell us!! if i could give 0 stars i would

I’m gonna be harsh and give this place 3/5 star for a few reasons. I booked a table via telephone, and when I asked if we could have a table on the terrace, they said there was no need to ask as they would put us there automatically. When we got there, the waiter informed us all tables upstairs were full and we had to sit downstairs for the time being. We were there for at least 1.5 hours before we ourselves went up to check and found a place. The food is a little overpriced for the portion sizes/quality, but the drinks are lovely. Good live music, however it is extremely loud and I found it difficult to converse with anyone (in the end I was getting a headache; another reason we wanted to be on the terrace!). The interior and the terrace are lovely, and we did enjoy the last part of the night. I would give this place another chance; hopefully next time will be better!

Food was poor. Normal cocktails awfull. 2 for £12 cocktails weak - just taste like ones from a can. Only saving grace was the music. Wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t return.

Really interesting environment. Great place to hangout! The cocktail waitress was very talented and kind. The roof top is nice and has heating lamps. Great mix of both girly drinks and strong rum and whiskey drinks. I was recommended by a local to check the place out and I'm glad I was. I had a great time!

Great place to visit with friends, spacious for groups and great photo backdrops. Reasonable prices, love the live music events.

Overpriced for Derby. No matter how nice the venue is, Derby is still only a 2 star town. Prices shouldn't be that high here.

Nice place very long wait to get a drink

Visited on a Saturday evening, we had a table booked but only for drinks. We changed our mind when out,and fancied some food, staff were very accommodating with this and served up several tasty & hot tapas dishes. Really nice bar with a decent pint! Will definitely return.

I would avoid going here there are other places which provide better services. Arrived at 5.45, left at 9.15 only had one course which took an hour food felt microwaved, we ended up cancelling the desserts as it took an hour before we got them and then the server was annoyed as when we cancelled them they were ready (this was 9pm by this point). I should add it wasn't even busy only a handful of people in. Service was appalling, slow and uninterested, I asked for sugar with my hot drink and I was given sugar cubes on a napkin... avoid better places to go with better service.

Booked a table early evening and was very quiet, not a good place for a night out, however good for a few cocktails with live music.

Brilliant place. Decided to take the Mrs here for food as it was a place that served sharing plates. Surprised the ribs were a full rack rather then a few. The loaded fries were huge, we probably ordered too much. Staff were brilliant. And the cocktails were amazing, great variety and something for everyone. One grumble, ribs were over cooked, but the staff asked when taking the food away if there was a problem. The fact that want to learn and put things right for the future is impressive. Brilliant. We will be back
