We come here on a regular basis and thought it was time to leave a review. Always consistent and on this occasion a lady called Lucy served us and could not be more attentive to our needs. Service with a smile, and read back our order to ensure it was spot on. Thank you for a great experience!

Amazing food, Hassan who served us was a true asset to the team, he checked up on us, made sure we were okay was really friendly, so many of my friends have mentioned they love seeing him there! - derbion Nando’s

Food was what you'd expect, but there was no service and took over 20 minutes to receive our glasses for drinks. They ran out of cutlery and replaced with very quickly rinsed cutlery to keep up, though it still had food stuck to it.

Good service from Hassan definitely will come again

The food was great. However, drinking out of a dirty glass and using dirty cutlery wasn't what i expected from a high chain brand like Nandos.(Water stains or not, when your serving food to the public, cutlery and glasses need to be cleaned and dried properly to avoid coming across as dirty or water stained) You need to review your cleaning processes. When i go to the pub the glasses are never dirty "water stained" and there glasses get used alot more than yours.

Pretty poor choice for veggies and no table service at a restaurant is a weird concept

The whole meal was a disaster from start to finish. My “butterfly chicken”, described as “2 chicken breasts” was smaller than one ordinary chicken breast and was told that was “normal”. My adult meal came with less chips than my kids Nandito’s meal. My partner’s salad was missing several ingredients that came out later when her meal had gone cold. The sprite was out of syrup so I paid £4 for bottomless fizzy water - only being changed after we’d eaten. I spent more time talking to staff and “manager” than my family, we all left still hungry and all of this cost me £46! Nando’s are resting on their laurels and previous reputation whilst reducing quality. I remember when Nando’s was relatively cheap and portions were huge. I certainly won’t be going back again.

Started to get really poor, staff has always been great but chicken was constantly overcooked. Excellent service when I went in today and the chicken was spot on! Don't know what's changed in there but hope it stays this way. Now the better Nandos of the 2 in Derby

Me and my wife are regulars at Nando’s as my wife is ceoliac and she know they have have gluten free there and always orders the same thing. This evening we went to Nados, Intu in Derby and were seated promptly which was good. However, when my wife went to order our food (which she had to being coeliac) the person taking orders informed his manager of my wife’s allergy to which she sighed and rolled her eyes before she took our order. My wife said that the manager didn’t seem to be listening properly while taking our order details and managed to get my order wrong (although this was corrected before the food arrived). However, after eating we got home and my wife has felt ill and believes she may have been glutened and hasn’t eaten anything other than the Nando’s today.

I recently visited Nando’s , a chicken-focused eatery that had piqued my interest. Unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory, and it’s safe to say I won’t be returning anytime soon. Starting with the ambiance, the restaurant felt more like a fast-food joint than a proper dining establishment. The interior was drab and poorly lit, with uncomfortable seating and tables that seemed hastily cleaned. The loud and distracting noise level made it difficult to enjoy a meal or hold a conversation. The service was another major letdown. The staff seemed disorganized and indifferent, more interested in chatting among themselves than attending to customers. We had to wait an unusually long time to place our order it does not make sense how there only one person on the tills when you have around 15 people waiting in line you can often wait around 45 minutes to place your order, and when we finally did, it took forever for the food to arrive. The server was curt and not very helpful when we asked about menu items. As for the food, it was the biggest disappointment. The chicken, supposedly the star of the menu, was bland it’s literally chicken , while the grilled option was bland and lacked seasoning. The sides were equally underwhelming – the coleslaw was soggy and the mashed potatoes were lumpy and tasted like they came from a box. The portion sizes were also small, leaving us hungry and dissatisfied. To make matters worse, the prices were surprisingly high for the quality of food and service provided. It felt like a rip-off, considering the mediocre experience we had. Overall, Nando’s fails to deliver on almost every front. The poor service, lackluster food, and uninviting atmosphere make it hard to justify the visit, let alone the expense. Save your time and money and look elsewhere for a better dining experience. You’re literally paying for the name there’s plenty of other chicken shops around that serve you the same food without the cost of a mortgage to go with it.

Food was great as always but special thanks to Hassan this trip as I lost my phone under the seats of one of the sofas and he managed to take up the cushions and retrieve it for me so definitely excellent customer service on this occasion especially- and also he was new to start there so I’m sure I put him through his paces on one of his first days!

Very pleasant evening meal experience, first time at the centre too as a Brummie.

Food was nice, decent but sometimes takes ages to come waited about 40 minutes. Very loud due to music and loads of customers

Very good Nandos located in the top floor of the shopping centre. It's a halal nandos which is why we went there to dine. The service was a bit slow as they were busy. The staff were very nice and helpful

I'd just like to say what a wonderful experience I had dining in yesterday, as an allergy sufferer you can some time feel like an inconvenience to staff but there were no issues just a friendly welcoming atmosphere from both the regular staff and manager who delt with my order personally! They all are worthy of praise and that's even before I had my food! Which was top notch!

5 star because it’s the only halal Nando’s in derby. It’s what you’d expect from a Nando’s.. peri chicken and sauce. Always consistent.. can be busy at times but me and the wife like a good Nando’s.

Visited on a busy bank holiday weekend. Although busy, the food was quick, very warm and good polite service.

Nando’s is a brilliant place to eat with lovely food but sometimes it takes a while to be served . If you have the time to wait for the food then I would without a doubt recommend it !

Thought chips were poor, rice no peppers and dry. Lacked coleslaw in pitta and chicken bland. They did bring me out some coleslaw but really cheap left it it was not nice. I felt it was poor for the price.

Great service. Very friendly staff and helpful. Quick to fix any issues like the frozen yoghurt machine was not working and managed to get it to work! Lovely evening meal with the family!

I went today with my kids. I was surprised at how small the butterfly chicken burger was that my son ordered and my salad which was the feta cheese and tomato came back with the wrong chicken and rather than being strips it was just a small breast of chicken. It should’ve been Peri Peri and it was lemon and herb, so I took it back and then when it returned it was draped with so much sauce, even though I asked for it at the side and the amount of olive oil must’ve been half a bottle! I left the majority of it I was so disappointed I usually go to the other Nando’s at the top of Sadler Gate. I’ve never had an issue there they are far more attentive than this branch. It’s put me off to be honest to going again. No waitress or waiter asked if our food was okay? Disappointed to say the least about the whole experience.

Big Nandos fan I visited nandos today was the first people in as it had just opened was very disappointed as the restaurant in general didn't seem very clean, brought us menus and they were dirty, ordered the food online without an issue, went to get cutlery but picked up 4 knives before finding a clean one then when my partners food came I had to ask for a clean plate because the plate was dirty aswell. Just general disappointed.

Unfortunately they ran out of chicken on the bone one the day i went to visit however the service was great 5 minute wait if that the lady at the front got me and my 2 daughters a nice table and i will be sure to visit again

The burger bun was like a rock and impossible to eat, chicken portions are horrendously small, salty fries were just normal fries with dust on them, and zero lettuce in the pitta or the burger. Total rip off. £40 for 4 tiny thighs, hot dusty chips and no salad.

The mushroom and halloumi pitta was 1/3 empty. Mgmt said thats how it is. Not good enough.

To be fair the staff team were very busy so with that in mind there were lots of areas needing attention that got left behind, there were lots of tables not cleared toilets well not great at all, many without essentials such as toilet paper!! The food came and some was presented well whilst other people in my party it just like it had been chucked on the plate. However The food was tasty and nice and the staff when they did come to your table were helpful and friendly. This was a Wednesday evening so didn't really expect it to be as busy as it were had to wait half hour for a table which we were happy to do the team need more help they also ran out of many items on the menu again not something we'd expect on a Wednesday evening in Feb

Food and Staff here are amazing! Just that service on takeaways can be a bit slow if you order inside. Would love to make allergy orders over the phone and online again. So much more convenient.

Really poor service that spoilt the whole experience/atmosphere. Told could not move to a sightly larger table/booth even though other couples were sitting in them, 2 servers in particular (Zoey and Becky) started extremely petty arguments over this and demanded we move back to our smaller table or wait outside again for a larger table. Never have encountered such poor customer service or care.

Amazing food as always and perfectly situated to grab some food after shopping.

Ordered online, this was the second time. The website is very intermittent to suggest delivery to my address, it works sometimes, and sometimes it doesn't. The food is not like the other Nandos, ordered some wings, they were undercookedish didn't taste great. The chicken cooked on both time's was without any sauces. Basically this was just put on grill and sent. I was supplied with a small sauce of packet with 10 wings, which is ridiculous. The total cost for the order was £45, and we received two packets of sauces. Wouldn't recommend, may be because it is new, the delivery service is horrible?

Been a few times before and food as always has been consistently great. Service from staff has always been top notch too. But on todays visit, a big shout out to Bianca whom served our food. She went beyond and above to keep our 3year old very happy and entertained throughout our meal as well as providing prompt service. What a great asset to the team as my 3yr old left very happy and already talking about going back!

Short wait but given its Christmas could have been worse

Wasn't too pleased they run out of spicy rice, and the wings was burn but they kindly gave replacement, apart these two issue, everything was perfect. The staff was so sweet and friendly and I'm happy to come again. ( if they run out of rice, I'm not coming!!)

Usually enjoy Nandos but.seem short staffed. Ran out of a few items such as red wine, halloumi and vinegar. The fino pitta was lukewarm warm and quite hard with no caramelized onions. Usually it’s good in here but on this occasion fell short.

Delivery never arrived, offered a refund but otherwise no compensation or apology

White people get served before brown people.. yeee.. love white people though.. thank you for coming our countries to loot now you guys are so rich and have these beautiful restaurants and i love sitting at these restaurants and see white people enjoy eating their food…. Been watching for 40 minutes now loving every second of it.. maybe i can eat some left overs.. yum yum…

Nandos is Nandos right! They are all pretty much the same and only the decor and service varies. This place is a tad tired but the service is brill.

Love the food. Usually the service is good, kids love it.

My first time visiting nandos and was worried what to order food was amazing and great staff

We visited with an autistic child, the server Hollie was wonderful and so accommodating, nothing was too much to ask! She really did make the visit a lot easier and amazing! Will definitely visit for sure, and she needs a pay rise! :)

Attended Nandos yesterday Sunday 22nd of October. Had a wonderful experience with lovely service and great food ! Me and my wife love this restaurant and we will be back. A lovely server stood out to us she had dark black hair - very happy and attentive. Thank you Nandos Derby

We visited on the 8th October, a Sunday at around 12:30 midday. We were greeted and shown to our table quickly, but requested a different seat due to being sat at the main entrance where everyone stood waiting for tables, not very relaxing, and very distracting for our 1 year old. We were shown to a new table very quickly, which needed cleaning, but we were happy to wait. Unfortunately the young girl that came to clean the table decided to cover everything while spraying the bottle, including the seats, so I had to get some paper towels to dry it off. I did however hear the manager speak to her afterwards regarding this, so no harm done. I also had to ask the waitress to clean the highchair We were provided with, as it had bits of food and a dirty plaster attached to it! Gross. We placed our order at the till, with prompt, polite service and waited roughly 20mins for our food to arrive. Not a problem at all as it did seem busy. During the wait for food I used the toilets, and I was disgusted to find no soap in the gents toilets (dispenser empty) the toilets that not only the customers use but the staff aswell. Horrendous. The food arrived and the loaded fries looked nothing like what we've had before at the Burton restaurant. Hardly any toppings at all, and probably a third less chips than received elsewhere. The top of the bun on my sunset burger was also cremated, which tainted the taste of the food. No hospitality check was given, but there was plenty of servers stood around chatting. Very disappointed, espeically as it nearly cost us £40 on this visit. Will stick to the burton restaurant going forward.

Not great our order was messed so we didn't get all our sides. Not a great experience overall. I was very disappointed as a lot of money was spent.

I really liked nandoes BUT Last few times I have been here it’s been grubby and I left feeling sick! Standards have dropped and I certainly won’t be back. The other one outside is no better.

Remind me to never ever order from Nando’s Derbion again. Every single time I’ve ordered from here either something is missing, something is incorrect or it’s overcooked. Hadn’t ordered from here for a while so thought I’d give it another go…. Worst decision!!!!! Terrible order, clearly the manager there needs to Buck their ideas up

An ok meal. Quite expensive for what we got. I know there is a 'plain' option but every other sauce has garlic in it. Please get rid of garlic!!!

The staff , from the lady that showed us to our table to the staff serving and cooking were exceptional. I didn’t use the app but ordered at the counter due to fussy Kid 🤣 the man behind the counter was highly accommodating I was very encouraged to hear all staff check out about allergies. Thank you for a welcoming experience Deborah and granddaughter (aged 5)

No vegan options for kids . Stuff seemed unaware and so unhelpful around this . Very disappointed would definitely not be coming again .

A 50 minute wait in a half filled restaurant for a partially complete order?! Better leadership is needed here.

I have been to this Nandos countless times and the service has been great. Food arrives within 15 minutes or so and my beanie pitta has always tasted great. My young child enjoys eating here too and usually finishes his meal Plenty of sauces to choose from to accommodate your needs. Desserts are pretty tasty too. Will be back again.

I felt that one of the staff members service wasnt great. Her body language and tone of voice was quite confrontational i think her name was emma and she wore a purple top. Not great.

Tasted like it had been sat under the hot lamp for ages. Garlic bread so hard I couldn't cut into it.

Great food and service every time we come

We order at half 6 and our food doesn't arrive till 20 past 7. The food was then cold and burnt. They then missed half of our order and when we asked for it they blanked us and avoided us.

Very poor customer service from one of the staff. Unable to accommodate a simple request (asked to move to a better table that is more stable). Lack of consideration at all! The lady that brought our meal was very friendly and I'm sure all other staff too. Just disappointed with that particular staff. Food was great.

Food is nice but portions don't meat price.

Nando's doesn't need a big write up about how good it is, as I'm sure by now; you know just how good this place really is. But, for those of you who don't - I would highly suggest you try their flavoursome food!

Wonderful place we had fun celebrating my birthday.

Paid £25 for a boneless platter. 2 of the thighs which came out were just bigger than a £2 coin. So they brought out another one, the same size but burnt. Sides were cold and the chips we recooked. Chain restaurant but I paid 25 pounds for chicken and left hungry.

Visited with my daughter. Always enjoy the food and vibe here... This was no different. Tables were spotless, attentive service throughout, and the food was great.

Probably the nicest Nandos locally. Stay are friendly, good was hot, nice and airy and plenty of sauce for all the tables!!

Brilliant service from the start. Aaron was welcoming, helpful and delivered great customer service. Asset to the team.

Informed by staff that it would be a long wait for a table and then a further long wait for food. (Hour total) We used the texting system which lets you know when your table is ready which was an excellent system an experience. However we found it odd that when we returned to get our table the restaurant really wasn’t that busy, the tables were clean but the rest of the restaurant was pretty dirty with rubbish and food on the floor. As promised the food did take a while to arrive, it was nice but the peri salted chips were definitely lacking in Peri salt. The refillable drinks machine also seemed to be down on gas as they were very flat. All in all an average experience from this chain restaurant which appears to becoming even more hit and miss.

Absolutely shocking service! Group of 12, booked the table for 8pm (booked it at 7pm) told us they needed our order as soon as we arrived because they shut at 9, not a problem, we arrived 7.55 and handed them what everyone wanted. Was told they would get it cooking ASAP. We were shown to our table. 8.25pm someone came to us to tell us they couldn't start cooking until we had put it through the till and paid....not a problem but why didn't you say this when we arrived at 8pm???? We had parents picking children up at 9pm! Then she came and told is half the things they hadn't got so we had to look thru the menu again!! Seriously??? No apology no nothing. Will not be bringing my group there again. Totally abysmal service. Shocking!!

Our fries were a little soggy, and the mushrooms were overcooked. However, the only place where vegan options are decently available. 4 stars overall.

Some of the food in our order didn't seem very fresh and was a little dry.

Food was tasty as usual. Came to catch up with some friends we hadn't seen in a while and food took unusually long to come out which was slightly disappointing as food is usually pretty speedy here. Nonetheless, great restaurant and always a classic favourite

We've always enjoyed nando's. But today's experience wasn't great. The wait for food was around 30 minutes, and when the food came (we all ordered the butterfly chicken burger), the bun was dry and hard and the chicken was very dry and over cooked. I could only swallow my food with a mouthful of drink! It was that dry! My daughter had to put a huge amount of sauce over her chips to get a bit of moisture in her meal! Sad to say, we won't be back.

Let's hope this isn't a sign that Nandos is going down the Pan, and this bad experience is restaurant specific. Long delay for food to arrive, food arrived wrong (and some of it was cold). What did arrive was what can only be described as dried out over cooked chicken.... I mean if the chicken specialists Nandos cannot get the chicken right the world is going the wrong way.... Oh and the bottomless drinks, they only lasted for one glass as they "ran out"

I visited here today with a friend who is from Nigeria. I wanted to take her to a restaurant that I knew would have a good selection of chicken dishes, and that would use spices and seasoning! It was her first time visiting Nandos and being at a restaurant in England. I didn't prebook a table so when we arrived we were told that we would have to wait 20-30 minutes for a table. I was asked my name and number and was told I'd receive a text when a table was available. I was texted within 15 minutes and was sent a link to confirm that I would be returning. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was nice, the music, lighting and decor all added to the experience. The waiter asked if we had visited before, and explained where and how to order, where to get sauces, drinks and cutlery. My friend absolutely loved the experience and her meal and wants to visit again.

Poor service. Staff inconsiderate for of the customers. All round the restaurant/tables there is a build up of dust and dirt that hasn't been cleaned in ages.

Visited today I asked for no chilli Jam on my chicken wrap but still got chilli Jam on it, the toilets could do with being cleaned more regularly while they are open.

Used to work for nandos so I can understand the pressures of working in hospitality. Food took about half an hour to come but staff were really apologetic and brought it over as soon as they could. Other employees including floor and grill staff were on their phones, not hiding it from remaining customers which is unprofessional and needs to be cracked down on. Everything else however, lovely

If you want a proper marinated grilled chicken, be there by 7 PM. As i always used to go after 9 pm....the chicken i get are not marinated overnight but its instant. Very easily you make out the difference. But if you get a proper one ...its ultimate

Long wait even though there was multiple empty tables. App gave error twice. Dessert wasn't served and peri salted chips came with no peri salt. + the seat was ripped.
