New to the area so went for a pint very busy every one was friendly and staff were good definitely going back 🍻🍻

Had a nice Sunday oap lunch near a real fire! Excellent friendly.service and disabled facilities. Electric car charging and gazebo for smokers. Lots more on their Facebook site. Advise booking on Sunday

Enjoyed a Well cooked and Served Hot Sunday dinner. Plenty to enjoy, and Supplied me with Gluten Free Gravy. Perhaps will have Gluten Free Yorkshires and Stuffing balls on my next visit.

Visited multiple times over the last few months and the whole place is amazing!! Staff are extremely friendly and work so hard to meet your expectations, food is incredible with great portion sizes and the atmosphere is just great! 10/10 and I’d highly recommend going!!!

Accommodating staff, great atmosphere , fantastically priced and excellent choices on the food menu. The perfect pub to watch the sports and grab a bite to eat.

Party of ten ,went on wensday l had chilly rice was disgusting didn't eat it ,other sausage mash sausage didn't look cook ,Maureen had chicken she just about choked on it very dry pat had scampi over cooked ,other five had chicken tika which was ok complained not intrested won't be eating again at bridge Inn

Dirty toilets were disgusting didn't have a meal private function

Good "locals" pub serving decent ale and food. My only problem with the pub is the serving hours for the food. ATM it claims food from 12 till 7pm, but the kitchen will close much earlier depending on orders coming in. If you're after food late on then either phone up to see when the kitchen is closing or ask before ordering drinks. I have witnessed several groups or couples leaving when they realise the kitchen has shut before the "Facebook" advertised closing time.

Ii had an homophobic experience

Disabled parking to the front of the building. Also Disabled toilet in lounge. I'm not sure about wheelchair access. Outside garden with play equipment. No children are allowed in the bar. Seems a local pub rule that I've not seen in years. Being a city centre resident! Locals, however, were an absolute delight. Very warm welcome. Xx

Shabby and dirty garden, unfriendly staff.

Popped in for a drink, the service was good. Ended up staying for a while as drank in their beer garden at the side of the pub. worth a visit.

A very good pub with decent choice of ales only one fault the toilets stink.

Difficult to rate accurately as were at a do upstairs. We had some chip cobs which were good. The beer was good and reasonably priced

The lounge was good now ruined as a disco

Popped in on a Saturday night, two contrasting sides to this pub.The bar sounded like the popside, singing and chanting, the lounge was decked out like a ghost train ready for Halloween.Me and the wife made three in the large lounge and I'm guessing the elderly man was still there because he was hard of hearing.

Attended party in the function room ...the bar staff were fabulous and really helpful all night

Busy match day the staff did well, sunny day so the outside area well used, all in all good bar/pub for all family.

Bad experience, called at 5pm to enquire last food orders, was told 6.15pm Got there at 5.50pm, went to order food at 6pm to be told no food because of a lack of cutlery. Several tables with empty plates on, the chef was clearing tables on his own. Quite poor service frankly

Went with family, first time we have had the food but it was well worth it! Great portions and awesome value! Hats off to the chef who never stopped! It was a lovely sunny day and we left very happy ..and really full! 😊

Went there yesterday stood for ten minutes to be served the young lad serving seen me was not busy then came over and served what was obviously was a regular first said to him I been here ten minutes waiting he shrugged his shoulders and carried on , obviously if ya not regular your not welcome also employ people with intelligence cus he obviously was not fit for purpose Shame on you bridge inn

Held a 70th birthday party in their function room. Room very well set out, buffet impressed everyone who attended. Bar staff really good. Would recommend it for a function.

The pub needs a good clean in the toilets. The carpet in there reeks of urine. It's aweful.

Just had a fantastic meal there excellent food and friendly staff

Visit to the pub for food after a busy day at work. The pub was busy but food was served in a timely manner, I couldn't believe how much food I was served for the price (2 meals for £10 on a Tuesday) and how nice it was. Both the chef and the landlady (manager mentioned below) was extremely helpful, they came over to ensure everything was ok and we had what we needed. Can't fault this pub, best management it has had in years 🙂

Absolutely poor management. Hired the function room. Free room £50 deposit returned if the room was left tidy. All buffet was cleared away and tables wiped and no mess. I Was then advised by the manager that if I wanted my deposit back I will have to hoover the function room. Never in the years of running my own pubs or hiring rooms have I ever been asked or asked a client to hoover. Surely having intoxicated persons using appliances in not in any risk assessment set out by the brewery and is a potential hazard. Once I had challenged the manager with this request she did not say anything except if you want your money back the room needs hoovering. To add the fact that people from the main bar were making their way into the function room helping them self's to the buffet and causing trouble. The pub nor management did nothing to stop this we had to do it ourselves. Cancelled another booking we had with this pub as I will not be leaving thier function room in a better condition than it was when I got there again. Absolutely disgusting management and people skills. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Beer good, friendly but food mediocre at high prices

Fantastic for parties birthdays etc excellent. Buffet made up and disco organised excellent. Service and steward and stewardess excellent service friendly and good customer service. Excellent Buffet choice and fresh meals made to order

Incredible food here, the burgers are really good grub and you get plenty for your money! The atmosphere is really nice as well, feels like a proper pub.

Stopped of at the bridge Inn shelton lock for a meal, the food was excellent and good sized portions excellent service and a good atmosphere would highly reccomend a visit.

The landlord and the landlady have transformed The New Bridge Inn they are trying really hard to give the customer the service they require with a.Really Good Chef on board and good service from the bar staff there is a room upstairs for hire and entertainment with.a bar that will be available later in the year outside there is a play area and there is ample parking space recommend you try it

Amazing place to come and caters for all ages. Since April 2021 New Bridge Inn have had a new landlord and landlady. They are amazing, kind, polite and go above and beyond for you. All staff are amazing, kind, polite and just like landlord and landlady they go above and beyond for you. New bridge Inn have a great sports bar especially if your a Derby County fan it's amazing to see Pride Park Stadium birds eye view on the ceiling and the bar as got artificial grass displaying THE RAMS. The lounge is perfect for quiet drinkers. Then there's a massive garden with kids area to keep the kids entertained why the adults have some fun. The New Bridge Inn is also a dog friendly pub and caters water bowls for them too. Perfect fit for when dogs go for a long walk with their owners down the canal path.

Amazing local pub! With amazing staff and customers very friendly environment with a big garden for the children to play and plenty of room to meet you mates for a drink in the sun aswell!! Also cheap and quality beer!! Can’t ask for much better really!

Best pub in shelton lock and chellaston!

Brought a round of 8 shots and got barred after. No respect, no manners, not a friendly place at all. The round cost me £18 and I got kicked out for spending so much money.
