Had the Lychee blush sangria and Breakfast in Tokyo for drinks and the Vegan Corn dog, Hotpot, Beef brisket and kimchee gyoza and Tantanmen beef brisket ramen all very delicious and filling. Quick service and food like expected.

Probably one of the best service that I’ve experienced, food was pretty decent

Food is amazing and always the same standard. Service is erratic. They forgot to bring the drinks over, gave us someone else's starters and forgot to take the plates away. Not a patch on the Nottingham restaurant.

Had to wave my arms around to be served. Then found out they didn’t have half the menu in stock as they are changing the menu so I left and the server was like “Fine be like that”. What a basic individual.

Visited Wagamama’s today in the Derbion where Ama served us today. Was really pleased with the customer service from her which made the meal a very pleasant and enjoyable experience! Always a pleasure receiving good service after a long day!

Staff are way too cool, coming across as complacent and overfamiliar from the outset. The food however was delicious, well done chefs. This is the second time we have had a very similar experience so I felt I should leave a review. We will try somewhere else next time because of the waiting staff.

One of the staff at the door has poor attitude, treat people like school kids.

Love how vegetarian-friendly Wagamamas are! Amazing food & efficient customer service. The spicy, sweet Firecracker Tofu is a must try. Will definitely visit again!

Firstly, the service was great. Nothing against any of the staff - they were all lovely. Also, the pandan and Pad Thai inspired cocktails were excellent (but small and a touch expensive, as you should expect from WM). Sadly the vegan meat substitutes were really low quality; the k-dogs whilst presented nicely, had a coating making them taste like fast food but not in a good way and the 'sausage' was completely tasteless (literally any vegan sausage from a supermarket would have been better). The vegatsu fake chicken cutlet tasted like the kind of thing you'd get for £2 from the frozen section of Aldi. Dry, tasteless, maybe reheated rather than coated and fried on premises :( Really disappointed, though we didn't wish to complain. The vegan roti starter was lovely, but we've come a long way from the beyond awesome vegan seitan bao buns (one of the best things I've ever had) and vegan ribs that they used to do for starters.

Our waitress was brilliant, arianna explained everything, was very helpful and attentive. We will definitely be back and thank you Arianna for your brilliant service.

Went with mum and her guide dog for lunch. Gave us an option of tables so the dog wasn't in the way. Very helpful, even got a carrot for him. Ordered for dairy free which they helped with. The food was cooked perfect! Everyone was very friendly, highly recommend to anyone. And a big shout out to the server Ben who made mum smile for the rest of the day.

Always a great experience here, while there is regularly a queue, staff are on hand to pass you a menu and the line always goes down quickly. The service is normally fast and efficient, the food is always served swiftly and the flavour never ceases to cheer me up! Would recommend.

Small portions and high prices. Only the vegan option was value for money. First and last time I’ll eat at Wagamama. My firecracker curry had about a mug full of rice and 5 bits of chicken and some vegetables in a hot but otherwise flavourless sauce.

My wife and I decided to visit Wagamama on a Sunday, and we couldn't have been more pleased with our experience. From the moment we walked in, the service was impressively quick and attentive. The food was nothing short of exceptional; every dish we tried was delicious and well-prepared. Additionally, the background music created a pleasant ambiance that made our meal even more enjoyable. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Wagamama to anyone looking for great food, efficient service, and a lovely atmosphere. We'll definitely be returning!

Delicious and quick service on our working lunch. Annalyse in particular was friendly and really helpful as we couldn't choose our dishes. She was really attentive and kept us in tea! It was super easy to pay online.

Had great food as usual! Ordered 2 Ramen dishes, a donburi and several starters, all of which were great! We had Morgan and Ben serve us and both were a delight! We had a lovely time with Morgan, she was polite, attentive and fun. Ben was awesome too, had a wonderfully fun conversation about deserts and his cheerful demeanour made everything 100x better. I would definitely recommend this place to eat! Thank you to the amazing staff for making my friends 19th birthday a truly enjoyable celebration!

Just wanted to say how great our server Leah was. So helpful and lovely, moved our table when we were too cold, helped us out when we ate the wrong meals and made sure all was resolved. Very patient and attentive and kind! Really lovely girl!

Fantastic service and food! With a Coeliac child in the family, we were unsure if this was a sensible option. However, it certainly was. Fabulous attention/explanation from the head waiter, all was explained, she was given her own GF menu, only 2 staff members were permitted to bring her food, the cooking station was cleaned before her food was preparared. Cross contamination risk was kept to a minimum. We were so impressed and highly recommend the tastiest food ever, whether you have Coeliacs or not! Thank you Team Derby for such a great dinner out last night (26th May '24) You were brilliant.

My first time dining at Wagamama's, and I'll certainly return. Delicious food, plenty of options, and fair prices.

My first visit. It's very popular as we qued to get in (we hadn't booked) given menu whilst quei ng. Seats are small benches ( they did move us to ones with backs on my request) The menu is varied and all nutritional info is noted. It's just not my cup of tea. Very busy, loud atmosphere,and music.

Was such a great restaurant but the prices have increased and the amount you get has decreased. Why are you giving one chicken fillet for a Katsu curry now? And they use to be way bigger. I had to ask if I’d ordered a kids portion by mistake. Very disappointed and sadly won’t be back.

Me any my friend just had a fabulous girls day out, highlighted by our lunch at Wagamama. Everything was perfect from the food to the service. We had a super kind server called Denice who was very friendly towards us. All in all a wonderful experience

Been to Wagamama a fair few times but never to the one in Derby. You can’t book a table at Wagamama (which I don’t like) as they only accept walk in’s. Luckily it was fairly quiet when we arrived around 8:30pm on a Saturday. For drinks I had a cloudy lemonade and my partner had a Pandan passion fruit colada which was nice but nearly £9 for a very small cocktail is a bit much! We had two portions of the chilli squid and the pulled pork gyoza which was 10/10. I had the Beef brisket hot pot for my main which was nice but my god it was spicy! Whilst my partner had her go to favourite the Chicken katsu curry. Overall great experience and great customer service, also really good idea that they have the QR code on the menu so you can pay for your bill when you’re ready which is nice touch.

The staff are great, we explained one of us was deaf, so they moved us to a quiet corner of the restaurant and turned the music down for us. 10/10 for that. But the food was SO GREASY. I've never had a wagamama's that greasy before, there were literal oil splashes on my gyoza plate. And all 4 of us were feeling sick and stuck to the toilet on and off all day afterwards. Hopefully it's just a one off and not a change in how the food is made normallt because I love wagamama's and don't want to stop going.

Food and welcome we received on arrival perfectly fine, if it wasn’t for these 2 factors I’d have given 1 star. What ruined the evening was one waitress in particular… started off friendly and approachable but the longer we stayed she became hostile and rude when we asked for more drinks, unsure what we did as paying customers to be on the receiving end of this. Would be put off returning in future.

Dreadful experience. Went on a work night out after a truly awful week for our team. 1/2 the team had spent 90 mins stuck, so we were much later out than planned. We'd checked with the Wagamama team that it would be ok to arrive late & they told us it wouldn't be a problem. By the team we arrived, we were in high spirits as it felt like the evening wasn't going to happen. We ordered drinks, then food - good to go. But on trying to order another round of drinks, they refused to serve us because we 'were disturbing other diners' - there was one other table of 2 on the other side of the restaurant. It felt very much like it was 9.30 & we were the only table waiting on food, so it was easier to get rid of us than let us enjoy our evening. The manager was really unpleasant - totally lacking in people skills. Our evening was ruined. Not cool Wagamama.

I decided to come here for a spot of lunch today, and I just wanted to take time out to show some appreciation to the staff members Zoe & Ben, I was dining with my baby and a little anxious as she's at the stage where screaming is her favourite thing, but thanks to these two I didn't have to worry about how much noise she was creating as the kindness they shown was beyond anything I was expecting, not only was the food phenomenal, but Zoe and Ben are a credit to the company, and I can't wait to visit again. Thank you guys, from a extremely happy and greatful customer :)

We always love dinner at Wagamama. This time we were in Derby and couldn't miss it. 🙈 Even if quite a few people were waiting for a table we waited patiently and in less than 15 minutes we were seated. When the vegan chicken ramen was removed from the menu, I must admit, I was quite disappointed, I still am, but the other veggie ramen will do. The vegan k-dogs are a must-try from the new menu. Yammy yummy ✨

Amazing food and service, especially from our server Heather! Super lovely and attentive, checked on us frequent and made us feel cared for and looked after. The teriyaki steak soba was absolutely delicious and piping hot, the kimchi was fresh and cool and the best I've had so far, and my bao buns were so flavourful and soft! Overall lovely experience and I'm so appreciative of the warmth from both the staff and the dishes...

You don't get enough food for your money here. I ordered vegatsu but it had a really chemical like taste to it. Not sure what that was ? Tasted a little like cleaning fluid. The salad wasn't nice, far too much rice to accompany it. My family felt the noodle bowls were not very tasty and another meal was also mainly rice. It's a bit of a rip off.

Ate here for dinner today, the food was great, we were served by Robyn, she gave amazing service and is a very lovely person :)

The food was but expensive so I expected a lot more quantity, I ordered the firecracker chicken curry and got about 4 small bits of chicken in it. It really is poor value for £15 and still hungry afterwards.

Visitng derby this weekend and popped in for a waga’s. Very pleased with the fast service and also Ama is great; especially as we’re not from the area - she was super helpful in recommending places to go for our little night out! Super cute, funny and fab customer service !! Thank you! Xxx

Id say wagamama would be an ok place to eat if you're new to southeast Asian food. Unfortunately when compared with places like Moonsha, the food isn't all that impressive. Portion sizes are good, however the prices are steep. The fresh juice drinks were nice (£6), and the crispy squid was also good (£8.50). The beef ramen was a big let down (£16), very little taste, the kimchi was very weak, and the noodles were basically mush. Id rather spend a few pounds more to dine at an authentic restaurant than at wagamama.

service is very good but not the food

Visited for lunch during an outing with my daughter who was dress shopping for a wedding. We also did a bit of Christmas shopping. We both had the vegatsu curry and it was tasty and filling. Came out quickly too. ✔️ Restaurant was clean and tidy and food hot. Can’t fault it. 👏👏 Looking forward to when they go full plant based in the future. 🤞 for the animals, our health and the planet.

Great place and great food. Staff are always welcoming and provide great service throughout. Hats of the chef's also they work extremely hard and create great dishes! One of our favourite places.

Food is great, friendly service and great location for shopping and the cinema. Good choice for meat and vegetarian diets. On the negative, the food is expensive and weirdly, the seating doesn't fit two largish men sat side by side.

Ama was a great server and was extremely funny and kind! Put us eighth at ease and clearly explained how the restaurant worked. This is the fastest our food has ever come and it was DELICIOUS! Highly recommend!

Tried to visit today with a small child, who would eat nothing from the menu, so we got a small portion of fries from across the way for him to nibble on while the adults ate. Stated this to the first waitress and pointed out that we would be getting him a drink, and she had no problem. We were just about to order when another waitress came up and in no uncertain terms told us that if we wanted to eat five guys we should go there as they “had their own kitchen”. While we wanted to eat here we had to think of the hungry child, plus the atmosphere, so left. We have had the same situation many times and waitstaff are normally understanding and appreciate what kids are like and have never had a problem, including at this branch before where we had been given a plate for him to eat his chips off. Perhaps as they were quiet, late on a Monday night, the waitress who told us to leave didn’t want the inconvenience of customers? We were as polite, friendly and honest as it was possible to be but were met by rudeness and a lack of understanding. Will not return.

I went for a birthday meal and the food was just amazing! The server was also incredible and even offered a free dessert for my birthday, which just made a nice night that much better.

Had a lovely meal Monday evening, the staff were attentive food and drink came out quickly and was all really good!

We ate lunch here while out shopping at Derbion. We received a friendly greeting and explanation about how to order and pay. Our bench area was clean and nobody sat next to us. I ordered the Gochujang rice bowl with silken tofu, which was delicious. We didn’t have to wait long for our meals, and check out/payment was quick and easy.

Very basic food for the cost -having said that -the establishment appears manic with appreciative customers . More likely to order a sandwich than return .

First and last time I will go to a Wagamamas. My back is still aching from the most uncomfortable benches I have ever sat on. Felt like torture just sitting there! Starter was ok but expensive for what it was. The steak noodle main was ok however I couldn’t understand why my partners was cooked medium and mine was nearly raw. I just got the feeling food was being rushed out. At what’s the weird scribbling on the table by the waiting staff for? Also every 2 seconds waiting staff were interrupting us for something. Definitely not my scene. Much nicer places to go.

wouldn’t reccomend. waitresses were nice so i feel bad posting but the food was very disappointing, steak was tough and noodles were very flavourless i had to drown them in soy sauce and even then they weren’t worth the £17. would genuinely rather eat a bowl of super noodles even if it costed £17.

went a couple of weeks ago with my mum, the food was completely overpriced and my mum chocked on her food, the waiters stood there and watched and did absolutely nothing and the rest of the restaurant was laughing, if i could give 0 stars I would, terrible service here.

This is my favourite place to eat in Derby. The food is exceptional, staff all very friendly and provide brilliant service, and the atmosphere is great. Plenty of vegan/veggie options. Love it.

Delicious food, consistent with Wagamama’s repute. We went there for brunch. I had steak tiryaki soba, & absolutely loved it. Chilli squid is a great starter to try if you want something light to enjoy while waiting for main course.

Please note that this is not a review of the restaurant, but of a home delivery via Deliveroo. The order consisted of two hoisin pulled duck buns, two Korean barbecue beef buns, one chicken teriyaki donburi, one beef brisket teriyaki donburi and two white chocolate and ginger cheesecake slices. The buns were stone cold and had to be reheated. The two donburis were barely warm, contained a very small amount of meat each and had to have the salad, grated carrot etc. picked out so that they could be reheated to an acceptable temperature. This was fiddly, inconvenient and annoying and not what I had in mind for a relaxing birthday meal for two. The rice on both donburis was a sticky, slimy lump of mush. The only thing that prevented a solo star were the cheesecake slices which were nice, if small and ridiculously overpriced at £7.50 each. Quite frankly, I wish I had stuck to ordering from our usual local Indian or Chinese restaurant where we would have received a piping hot, properly cooked meal at a third of the price of this dismal effort. Overall, an unsatisfactory and expensive mistake; one which I do not intend to ever repeat.

Food was lovely as usual. Unfortunately it was freezing cold inside. Staff said it's either on or off! Our server was ok,but she didn't check in with us after she brought the food to us.

The food was absolutely amazing per usual 😩 Dan was a lovely server and even gave me a bigger glass of water when I kept getting small waters on repeat.

Like many others I love a good takeaway but this wasn’t one of them. My order was: Shu’s shiok chicken but I received a luke-warm pathetic amount of food for over £13 and I was still hungry after it. Do NOT order from them through the Deliveroo app.

Visited Derby by train as a birthday treat for my husband to experience the Wagamama cuisine. Lovely service, fab food and drinks, clean tables and toilets. Will certainly visit again.

My daughters and I visited the restaurant few weeks ago and it was a great experience. Food was tasty, big portions and the good thing is you can just pay by phone. Very friendly service as well. We went for the ramen and the vegetarian katsu. The week after we decided to order online and pick it up. It was easy to do, food was hot when we collected it and when we got home (we live 10 min walk from it).

The food was just as you’d expect from Wagamama, tasty, hot and fresh. The service we received from our waitress was excellent too, friendly whilst professional, and very attentive throughout. Unfortunately whilst our starters arrived someone threw a beer bottle from a balcony two floors above us and it smashed directly behind my son, missing him by just a few inches. Very scary stuff. Our waitress was genuinely concerned and watched the balconies above us throughout our meal to help keep us safe. She made the manager aware who popped over to ask if we were OK. Sadly it ruined the meal as we then rushed - and were having to look all around - because we didn’t feel safe. Our waitress was great and did what she could to reassure us (the manager much less so).

Most of the staff looked tired and/or miserable. Food was only warm and small portions. Hardly any mushrooms in my mushroom noodles. We did give feedback at the time but no-one responded. After many very positive experiences at Wagamama in Nottingham this was very disappointing ...Will not be going back and would not recommend.

Arrived in the afternoon and ordered 'Yaki Udon', 'Tantamen Beef Ramen', 'Fried Duck Gyozas', 'Salmon Gyoza', 'Tama Squid' and two drinks which were 'Carrot Cleanse' & 'Asahi'. Everything was absolutely delicious! Staff members were friendly, welcoming and environment was cosy. The overall total was £70.10. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
