The Victoria Inn in Derby

This place is great, and the staff are wonderful. I'd have given 5 stars if the toilets weren't abysmal.

Grate little pub across from derby station warm welcoming staff and grate venue for gigs not had any food there so no stars but other than that absolutely brilliant place

Cracking venue back from the grave. Nearly as good as it was back in the early 2000s. And im sure it will be as good as it was eventually.

A high-level club, good atmosphere and cultured people. A good place to go with friends and relax with live music, I highly recommend it.

Smelt like moldy shit as soon as I walked in. People are moody as hell.

We weren’t that welcomed and the place had a smell of ammonia, left quickly after a beer.

I just had the pleasure of popping in to the Victoria Inn during a brief stopover at the Derby railway station. I was absolutely thrilled with the service. Thanks to the landlord John and a local resident Liam for making me feel very welcome. I highly recommend a visit if you are in the area. Great value, wonderful environment!

Despite being being full of football fans the service was rapid & friendly and the customers were all good natured & happy to share tables so we could sit down. Great beer too. Wish we could have stayed longer but time & beer capacity dictated otherwise

The Vic is a brilliant live music venue and also a great pub in which to have a decent pint or two. The staff are wonderful, really friendly, and the sound engineer person is really on the ball and makes the live music awesome. I highly recommend coming here, whether it's for a drink or to see the local, national and international bands that come and play here.

I only went in for a quick pint but I was well impressed. Good range of cask ales and ciders and nice friendly staff. Now I've been going in regularly for well over a year and it's just got better and better. A superb range of beers and ciders and of course the regular live music

Great choice of beers. Best thing excellent staff, our ones on the day (thu 4 July) Sam and Tania. Even when I spilt a pint on my shoes they didn’t bat an eyelid. They are excellent staff , give them a raise

Nice place by the railway station, with some craft beers, and nice atmosphere. The staff was really nice!

Best cider selection in the area. Good selection at Brunswick just down the road but the Vic ciders are less common or unusual varieties.

What a fantastic traditional pub.Tap beers and many real ales and ciders available. Drinker's heaven. Two rooms with old black and white photos on the walls. Camra discount available. Staff were friendly and polite. Beer was amazing. Great visit.

Just popped in for a pint after a very stressful train journey and they're lovely in here, even the punters are kind.

An unexpected bonus this place was with top quality ale with a great atmospheric feel. The seating was lovely and you could easily sink in to it.

Good pub to vist before the game at pride park Leatherbritches ales

This is a really friendly pub. It's really close to Derby Train Station and has a great selection of quality beers. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Lovely little English pub with open fire. Great for waiting for trains but also good live music in the back on a weekend evening. Service was fast and server was cheerful. Will definitely be going again in the near future.

Excellent selection and value for money

Came over from Ireland for a gig and the owner made us feel welcome straight away, soundman for the gig got it to a T, excellent sound.

Great to see a band play live and the beer and pork scratchings are spot on !

It is the first time that i have been here and what a great place to go for a drink i have a lot of customer service experience and worked in a pub so I know what i am looking for the service was with a smile polite barman very tidy the pub is very clean and nice decor if i was going to go for a soft drink at a pub i think this would be the place

Visited a Download warm up event ,didn't stay long as we had planned to go on to another venue but have to say ,very friendly welcome and seemed a great place!

Not bad actually. The decor is a bit tired but the beers and the landlords passion to do well speaks volumes. Please use this pub folks so we don't lose another.

Real ale pub opposite the main entrance of Derby railway station, 6 beers on cask with 2 Leatherbritches as reoccurring ales and 4 changing ales from various breweries, also boasts quality ciders, gins and rum. Excellent bar staff and service. Bad behaviour and drunk idiots not welcome at the Victoria Inn.

I’ve not been to this pub for about 20 years, was pleasantly surprised to find they had 10 flat ciders on. This is a real ale pub located opposite Derby railway station. They have live bands on at the weekends. Very friendly bar staff, great selection of ciders. I would recommend.

A good place to stop after a train journey. Glad it’s opened again and holding gigs. The place needs redecorating to make it feel more cosy. It has a real fire though which was very welcoming.

1st visit great pub good variety of drinks and ciders, also do entertainment in the evenings, good choice of snacks. Will definitely return

Just been in whilst waiting for a train as it’s two minutes from the station. This pub had gone downhill for years and didn’t expect much. But hooray. It’s been taken on by landlords that know what they are doing. Comfortable, good decor, welcoming, great selection of Leather Britches ales, excellent ciders from Kent, wine by the bottle. I’ll be back frequently! Deserves to succeed.

I've bin here 3 tims and it's dutie. A rat crawled up the toilet stal and jumped HEAD. WHEN I GAVE IT OFF. IT STARTED GRAWLUNG. 2 weeks later I came back and old man sat on me?? It's very bad smeelly. The food tastes like a grampas liver. The 3 time I came here I fell in the toilet and it took 3 hours for someone to help and everyone was recirdung.... Excellent real ale pub easy to miss and is situated to the back of the street facing Merry Widows pub. Multiple HND pulls of Leatherbritches brewery but also guests too. Well worth a visit as it also has a nice beer garden and staff and owner are friendly.

Great place for nite out or just quiet drink. Great customer service and atmosphere. Definitely one of my favourite place in Derby

It's good to see this place under new management got the facilities to have a proper little rave or a head bashing night . A few darts comps and it will be my second home 😂

Lovely oldie worldy pub. It has real ales along with great deals on other drinks. Lovely garden with some great decor. Staff are friendly and inviting. Amazing atmosphere.

Recently taken on by a new Landlord. In the recent weeks I've been coming to the the Victoria inn since the new landlords have been here, it has been a pleasant place to come and enjoy a few pints after work. The main bar area is spacious for a small pub, but to the rear there is a nice open function room with dance floor and seating. and on the various nights that have events on its been a great atmosphere. Also to the rear is a nice beer garden aswell The drinks menu has various favourites and a selection of real ales. The location is great place just across from the Derby train station, so if your train is late its s worth e time to pop in and havea a drink. . The prices are very well priced.

Always polite helpful staff and good pint

It stinks of marijana but I was the only customer? The TV was blasting out loud music that made it difficult to read my newspaper. The person working there propped all the fire doors open which apart from being illegal it meant that despite sitting next to the radiator I was cold. I drank quickly and vacated immediately. My advice, don't waste your time visiting.

Definitely my pub of choice waiting for the train to London.

Just a regular city centre bar. No airs or graces. Just does it's job of serving beer!

First time went in Victoria Inn and the bar staffs are very friendly as having quick pints before catch the train from Derby to London: St Pancras International Station. Might will visiting again one day!

The person serving was unfriendly, discourteous and anti social. Won't be going back until there is a change in personnel
