Amazing hot chocolate and amazing cakes

Stumbled across this little pub. Perfect English pub. With so many gastropubs out there now it was refreshing to find a proper pub with great food and great service. Wonderful.

Acabo de dirigirme directamente aquí después de otro vuelo ridículamente temprano desde Aberdeen. Encantado de estar aquí de nuevo - tenía exactamente lo mismo que la última vez y el precio era el mismo - ¿cómo lo hacen? - posiblemente porque siempre está ocupado, y no es de extrañar, dado que la comida es fresca, abundante y cocinado a la orden. Tuvimos una risa cuando un grupo de chicos, que obviamente había tenido una gran noche la noche anterior, pidió el menú de 'desayuno establecido', pero uno dijo 'sostenga el tocino y puedo tener una salchicha vegana por favor', otro dijo 'no importa la salchicha y el tocino, pero ¿puedo tener más huevos por favor' - nada era demasiado problema a pesar de que estaban tan ocupados. No me había dado cuenta de que tenían una zona de estar en la planta baja - afortunadamente una camarera nos llevó a ella, ya que podríamos habernos ido dado que no había asientos en la zona de comer de la planta baja cuando llegamos o cuando nos fuimos. Conveniente para la zona en la que nos gusta alojarnos, excelente comida y servicio, personal encantador y ambiente - justo lo que necesita cuando un estúpido vuelo en punto significa que su despertador está configurado para las 3 am!

What a wonderful place. We walked in without a booking. The cafe was busy, but the lovely staff squeezed us in. I had the best breakfast I have had for years. The maple glazed halloumi sticks were amazing. Lovely, friendly staff, wonderful food and a nice atmosphere. Also dog friendly. We will definitely be back.

Best fish and chips I have had in a long time.

Visited for lunch as I fancied some chips. I really enjoyed the chips and I’d definitely visit again.

For the money, the food is outstanding. And the hot chocolate is always hot, and served in large mugs.

Went for a family lunch with siblings & Partners. Superb meals, service & generous portions. We all had different mains, all arrived at the same time, well presented & tasted amazing. Puddings were also fantastic. A great experience & we will definitely be back again. Thank you for a great experience.

First visit to the restaurant but found everything excellent. I had the halibut and friend the steak and both were cooked to perfection. The young lady who was our waiter was brilliant.

Been eating here for years and it has never failed us! Both my parents went vegan a few years ago and my mum was especially disappointed to miss out on so much Indian food, so she was over the moon to discover a place with amazing Indian food and tons of vegan options. Service is always fantastic and you just can’t go wrong with anything you order. We’re looking forward to eating here for many years to come.
