Still the best in town, fresh and buttery - delicious

I'm not picky, but this fish and chips ende up in the bin in the street outside the shop. The fish was swimming in old cooking oil and the chips weren't cooked. It seems everything was cooked in the same fryer. Impossible to eat without risking illness or indigestion.

Tried them all, but these are the best chips in Guildford

I was pleased with their veggie options -- the veggie burger, the mushy peas, the chips, and also the battered mushrooms! 🌱🍄 The place is clean and the staff are friendly. They serve fast, considering they get a lot of customers

If you're wanting a classic fish and chips it is a great place to go. Not too expensive and you get a good portion. The food is freshly prepared and always manages to satisfy the fish and chips craving nicely.

Great food and reasonably priced Just over £15 for scampi and chips x2 and 1 mushy peas. Gets busy on a Friday night but just means everything is super fresh. Update January 2024- Scampi and chips x2, mushy peas x2 and 1 portion of onion rings was £20.40. Very good value for a takeaway meal and the Scampi is always cooked to order.

Generous portions, tasty chips, really nice fish. Always good curry sauce with good spice and flavour. Always had a nice experience with the staff! A local favourite of mine.

Dtill the best chippy ive come across on Guildford. I first wentbhere for college dinners in 1999, and still same guy and same great chips (huge chips too), and awesome value. £2.80 for large chips!

Cooking chips and fish in the same fryer, so not veggie friendly at all. Rude when asked if they were using the same fryer and gave an attitude

This fish n chip shop has been run by the same couple for many years and is probably one of the best in guildford I've been going there for well in excess of 20yrs. Fish is always fresh with loverly 'light' batter,haddock especially nice chips excellent. I have no hesitation in recommending this place. Certainly deserves a 5 star rating.

Yummy ...had our Good Friday fish supper from here and most definitely the best fish n chip shop in Guildford...proper chips and the cod was amazing no skin and the best batter ever..well recommend to anyone whose never been here it's a must !!! 😋😁👍

We have tried to order from this fish and chips as it's our local and has some great reviews but everytime we walk there it has been closed at 7or 8 pm when online it says open till 10. This has happened afew times now we are starting to give up trying. Not great

We were recommended this shop and it definitely did not disappoint! The price was cheap and portions were large! The food was amazing and cooked to perfection! Chips were amazing and the whole experience was proper British fish and chips. Would definitely come back!

Fish was sooo delicious! It was so tasty even without dipping it into any sauce. Worth more than what I paid for. To top it off, the owner was so friendly and welcoming as well. Nothing I can complain about, definitely come back again for more!

Just moved in fenced fish and chips.. I ordered haddock which was freshly cooked and chips. Got home opened thought was small potion ( as potion have been bigger in other places I have been ) but once I finished it was just right & no waste at all ( which I have had with other places) Was very tasty not overly greasy. Would definitely recommend and will be going back as two mins down the road..

Massive portions unlike others. Fish is always cooked really nice. Chips are always done to perfection. Great to see a family owned business do well at what they do.

Great little take away and don’t be put off by its appearance. I can be quite fussy about food and service. I rarely have fish and chips and had this for a change and it was great. The fish had absolutely fantastic flavour!

The food is freshly prepared and the fish and chips are amazing. The chips, in particularly, have a lovely texture which is neither too crunchy nor soggy, and has a very clean taste to them rather than greasy, fatty taste that you get with some chippies.The spring rolls are also very tasty.

Great little takeaway. Everything is freshly cooked and tastes great. Seafare is the local rival and its food doesn't taste of anything. The portion sizes are huge and very good value for money. Highly recommended.

No nonsense fish and chips for a reasonable price. Decent size piece of fish. Was recommended to us and we haven't been anywhere else since. The only downside is that it's not always easy to park nearby.
