I watched both managers (who love to argue by the way) treat their employees very harshly. I was displeased with this so I took off service charge and decided to leave a tip for my waiter - who was lovely - and as I left I watched the manager tell our waiter it counted as service charge and took it from them. I can't believe they are allowed to run this restaurant. That being said, the food is lovely but would encourage to leave only cash tips.

Dining here felt like a little escape to Italy! The flavors were authentic and vibrant, making it a memorable experience. We started with crispy zucchini fritti and tender calamari, both perfectly cooked and seasoned. For mains, the scialatielli was a deliciously rich pasta dish with just the right amount of bite, and the risotto alla pescatora was brimming with fresh seafood in a creamy, flavorful sauce. Every bite transported us straight to the Italian coast. Highly recommend for anyone craving a true taste of Italy!

The Seafood Sword Fish And the fat muscles Paired with Sicily Italian white wine made it a gorgeous meal. Desert ending with tiramisu and Coffee gave a good memory to remind you to visit again. Manager Tom007 is a very funny and nice guy, Full of hospitality and smile, He can talk 700 countries language including alien, It is always a joy to talk to him. Dr. Joejoe ^¥^

I've been multiple times and the food has always been extraordinary. Taking the time to leave a review because our friends were delayed in arriving to town, but Olivo were still happy to seat us at 9:50pm, and provided the usual exceptional service. Incredibly impressed, I couldn't recommend them enough.

Authentic Italian restaurant in Guildford. The place is really authentic, at an old 17th century English building. Classic Italian dishes, fresh pasta and good wine. Service was also good!

Four elderly ladies who meet up about every 6wks.too Many places we've tried are either too cramped or too noisy for us to hear each other. This was very nice with not much noise and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. We'll be back in about 6wks. Many thanks.

Italian restaurant with a warm ambience. Had the lobster pasta to share and it was wonderful.

We had dinner at Olivo Italian Restaurant and we left the restaurant just an hour ago. We got a bill of £57 for a regular meal. This includes the service charge. Although we said we would pay the bill separately and in total £60, they charged us £40 per person. We noticed this after we left the restaurant, through a message from our bank. We called the restaurant immediately. They apologized for the “mistake” and offered to refund our money. Please, anyone who is going to go to this restaurant should think twice. Would someone who has the bill for the meal make the same mistake twice when taking our payment??? I think this was intentional and I don’t think it was just done to us. The prestige of your business is “0”

Not as good as previous visits. The plate was cold and the starter of fish cakes was tasteless. The main course was also unremarkable. Not what I'd expect of Olivio.

Creamy seafood plate and salmon pasta are juicy and tasty. 2 courses lunch is of good value for money.

Ordered for a medium rare but come with all done. Though able to re-do a new plate, the lamp chop had no taste, and totally unchewable. Quality of lamp chop was indeed low and that’s why they had to make it well done. Service was bad and staff was unfriendly. So sad that it’s always our first pick whenever we visit Guildford. After today, it won’t be our choice ever.

Went for a colleague's maternity leave lunch a couple of weeks ago. Weather was great so we sat outside. Food was delicious and service very good. Great atmosphere.

Won’t be going back! Left a bad taste in our mouth. Ordered olives to start, very bitter & past their prime. Left half, told staff & sent others back saying not good. Staff blamed their supplier, no apology. Rest of meal was mediocre bland & average. Very odd music which didn’t help the atmosphere. Seemed like they were playing a live set from the 70s, actually thought they had some live (uninspiring) musician at first with base turned right up, didn’t fit or create any ambiance. Worst was the sharp practice around the bill & service charge. Stated we’d sent olives back but waitress wouldn’t remove from bill - just blanked us. Bill was without a sub total & service charge already added but without % shown, so impossible to calculate service charge % added without a lot of effort & waitress hovered to make us pay & turns out it was 15%!!! Utter rip off! Extremely disappointing on all fronts.

Lovely food servers were struggling , slow and we had to repeatedly ask for things, was 60 min from our whole party arriving to them taking out food order but they were very friendly. Had the most amazing prawn pasta

Went to celebrate my 23rd birthday. From the minute we stepped in, to leaving, everything. was exceptional. The service from the whole team was amazing! And the food is divine. The care and attention to celebrating a birthday was very appreciated. Definitely will be returning for all our special occasions but even for our next dinner out. Nice. Slightly weird disparity with portion sizes. Bit expensive for what it is but nice as a bit of a treat.

While the food was absolutely amazing, the service left a lot to be desired. From the moment we sat down, it took over an hour before anyone even asked if we wanted drinks. When the food finally arrived, it was delicious and well worth the wait. However, the service was diabolical. My friend had to ask three times for some olive oil to go with his bread, and in the end, I had to go up to the bar myself to get it. To make matters worse, our side of potatoes was completely forgotten. Despite our arrival well before the other tables around us, everyone else was served first, which was frustrating. In summary, while the food was outstanding, the overall experience was let down by the poor service. If the service improves, this place could be fantastic, but as it stands, I’m hesitant to return.

Food is lovely, but waiting time was 90 minutes for a table of eight people. Also items of food where forgotten about. Really disappointing as Olivo was once a great restaurant.

One more time my partner and I went to Olivo for dinner, and we couldn't expect nothing better. The staff is so friendly and very professional, special mention to Nick our server, always willing to help with a smile on his face and the food... OMG. They also gave me a surprise for my birthday, (everything planned by my boyfriend hehe), it made me cry!. We cannot be happier everytime we go to Olivo. If you want to taste good italian food and enjoy a lovely atmosphere, Olivo is your restaurant. Gracias ☺️

My first time in here, I don’t really now what should I talk about the food ? The atmosphere? Or the service. Levinia looked after us she was very lovely and friendly, also, the owner Nunsia he’s such a friendly and lovely guy. Definitely highly recommend this place. It will be ur best experience ever ♥️

Cheap table olive oil (if you call it olive oil), bread basket was not fresh, Our main course (Chef’s special, Linguine with whole lobster sharing plate for 2) came with 2 half lobster but there was no body lobster meat, the only meat was on the tail & claws

Unfortunately, the fine art of Italian cuisine cannot be seen here. It's decent average. The Papardelle Alfredo could certainly be made better with less cream in the sauce and a more nuanced use of garlic.
