Friendly staff and great location. Breakfast can be a bit hit and miss although the avocado and Poached eggs is always good.

I always pay a visit when I’m back up in Nottingham and have never been disappointed. Very generous portions, fresh and always tasty. Always find the staff cheerful and friendly. Will be back for sure.

Expensive £11 sandwiches but they are very tasty and atmosphere is nice and cosy if you can get a table. Quite small, not many seats in the cafe. Basement is not very nice.

Incredible variety of wines, the white I ordered was spectacular. We snacked on several dishes that a waitress kindly recommended to us. It delivered, nothing unreal but a very comfortable place. I got there because of the Bib Gourmand recommended by the Michelin Guide App, I'm not sure it still has this recognition.

Fantastic real ales and the landlord is extremely knowledgeable of his well kept beers. Different sports on the 9 TV’s available. Football memorabilia everywhere. Just a great cracking real pub.

I get ice cream here almost everyday when it’s open that’s how good it is!

We have been to this restaurant on five occasions and have enjoyed the excellent food each time. Unfortunately on two out of the five visits there was a significant over charging of the final bill. Fortunately the most recent amount - £70 - was spotted prior to paying. Regrettably on the previous occasion this happend the £35 overcharging was only discovered the next morning. The low score given for service is not a reflection of the charming female servers but due to the absence of an apology from the management.

Last evening I asked for any gluten free drinks as I am coeliac 2 managers had no idea what was gluten containing drinks Not one member of staff had any idea and I was told I could drink any wine or spirit which is not the case Very rude and dismissive in front of other customers, unprofessional and ignorant

Nice enough food. Really long wait between courses. Waiting on staff hard to get attention of when you need something.

It's not my favourite pub, not least because of the awkward layout - very narrow and long room - but that can't be helped in an old building I suppose. The atmosphere is good though and what I do love about the place is the friendliness of the staff. They are second to none and always give you a warm welcome, which is why we like to come here. Keep up the good work 👍🏻
