Had a day at the coast ,fancied some fish and chips,have had them here before so went again, wasn't disappointed, the best fish and chips on the east coast, lovely fresh haddock and gorgeous chunky chips not running in fat,crisp and tasty very friendly staff,and clean shop,great portion size and great seafront views

Bridlington Bay fisheries sell lovfish and chips,and the amount get is good, they are well cooked not under done and not over done, they are just right, and they ere very close to our B& B, nice people serving ,and the fish shop is spotless, making me hungry writing this review, so if your near to this fish shop give it a try.

Should be called whale and chips as the fish was huge, lovely batter, cooked to perfection, chips were great but too greasy and the mushy peas were fab, would recommend

Beautifully cooked fish and chips. Fresh haddock, cooked to order and cooked in beef dripping. The batter was light and crispy, the chips were fluffy on the inside. Good value for money, the place was spotless and the staff very helpful and polite.

Absolutely brilliant tasting food and great staff very nice and very friendly. Came out quickly and was still fresh. Amazing.

Impromptu lunch and what a treat we had , it was like fish and chips used to be , gorgeous crisp batter , tasty chips with just the right kind of crispy bits , and mushy peas to stew for , partner has fishcake which he really enjoyed , perfect lunchtime experience, will definately be back 😁

Possibly the only best Fish and chipy in bridlington. good few times here and always been the same really good food a must try when you visit bridlington.

This is always our go to fish and chip takeaway in Brid. I queued for 20 minutes on a really busy Boxing Day lunch time but it was well worth it. The fish is skinned and coated in really crisp , light batter and the chips are well cooked too. The staff are efficient and friendly and the place is spotless. Highly recommended!

We usually call here as we know the fish and chips are great. Never been disappointed yet ! Big portions, fish tasty, crispy batter and dry well cooked chips. Only downside is it's cash only, but if you know beforehand it's no problem. Plus at 8.90 for fish and chips it's good value compared to others.

Beautiful Fish and Chips. As always the fish and chips are delicious. Lovely white fish with beautifully bubbly batter, with lovely cooked chip and red hot. Great staff who are cheerful and polite. All really good value. Highly recommended.

We are so glad that we have discovered this place. The two young men who work there are so friendly and cheerful that we would go there just to see them and chat to them. It is a bonus that the food is delicious too. We are fussy about the quality of our fish and chips but this ticks all the boxes. Cooked to order, it is always fresh, crispy and mouth wateringly delicious.

Always come here but wasn’t great this time chips were cold and the fish was inedible batter soggy and fish was weird tasting such a shame thought about going in to say but shop was busy didn’t want things to get awkward

Amazing.... Went to Bridlington to see the sunrise and a day on the beach. This chip shop came up on TripAdvisor the reviews was good and so decided to give them a go as I know fish and chips can be hot and miss at the coast. I wasn't disappointed the fish was nice and meaty in texture and the chips were great to. Perfect!

We randomly chose this Chip Shop from the many on Bridlington Sea Front to feed a Family of 3 Adults, Wow! Probably the best Chips I’ve ever had, Crispy and tasty yet soft & fluffy on the inside and none of your usual quarter of the portion made up of scrappy bits. A lovely crisp and light Batter on a delicious piece of Cod, all reasonably priced.

Good sized lightly battered fish and lovely fat chips - what's not to like! The place is spotless and the staff are friendly. On the opposite side of the street next to the beach is a low wall which makes an ideal seat for al fresco dining. We have tried various chippies in Brid over the years but now we wouldn't go anywhere else.

Best chippy in Bridlington. Always call in for our proper fish and chip fix. Not greasy. Best scraps ever. Small and busy but worth it every time

Visited with friends from down south - such a lovely chippy we all totally enjoyed - best haddock and chips (with scraps) they have ever had!!! Definitely recommend.

Before the world went pear shaped I have visited Brid on numerous occasions with my late mother and most recently my Grand children we unpack and head down to the shop for our chippy fix sat in the car watching the sea (best when stormy) superb as I expect and always friendly staff I even driven (when we where allowed) from my home town for my fix 320 mile round trip !!

had a lovely fish and chips here on way home. really tasty fish and the chips were nice too, were well priced for on the beach and were not greasy at all. i had the small fish and it was enough for me, small chippy but much better than some others along the promenade

Nice premises over looking the sea.Lovely fish but unfortunately the chips were rubbish. Very bitty and all corners. No nice long chips! Very disappointing.

Would not go anywhere else now. Been here 3 times and everytime the food was superb, LOVE the fish and chips - always hot and always tasty

Called here yesterday for fish and chips they was absolutely beautiful the best I've had in years the staff were very friendly and the lady serving with the light pink hair was very professional and friendly will definitely be going back

Been once before. After 1st time wife had to make emergency stop due to upset stomach. Gave it the benefit of the doubt til tonight. Around 15 minutes after eating some of the very greasy food we were both violently ill. Don't know what they put in the food but we won't be returning.

Lovely Staff, bubbly and smiles all round to say how busy they all were. Very fast service due to the que being so long! The food was spot on, never been to this chippy before but we will definitely be returning.

Thought would give a try as their seemed to be a few people queuing. When I got near my turn I popped in and asked for a lighter battered fish . When it was my turn to get served I mentioned I had ordered a lighter battered fish only to be told by a rude woman frying that she hasn’t the time . A young lad who was serving kindly asked me if there was one I would like that didn’t have as much batter, only to told by this person to get moving there’s a que. Wish I hadn’t bothered queuing as the batter was wet & soggy.

stopped off whilst in the area, had a big queue which is normally a good sign. the food was tasty and was worth the queue.

Best fish and chips for some time. Well organised queue, quick service, tasty F&C and friendly staff. And a convenient sea wall with plenty of room for social distancing.

Been coming to Brid for years and for some reason aways parked up and walked to Harbour for Fish and chips .Today because of short visit we called here .The fish .chips .topclass.Im thinking cooked in dripping which adds to the taste. Best fish n chips I've had in Brid .

Was stood outside decided if we wanted to buy the over priced fish and chips, and the extremely rude woman tapped very aggressively may I add on the window and shouted in an unneeded manner to get in the line. I’m sorry but We were deciding now if she had said politely if you’re waiting for you mind joining the line that would have been fine but to shout and aggressively point. You lost 4 customers, now you may not need custom since you’re clearly charging so much. Customer service is always key remember that :)

Lovely fish and chips. Take away only. Not too greasy batter on the fish. Chips were from fresh rather than frozen. Would recommend a visit.

Been a few times and consistent quality and value. No seating but on a fine evening there are plenty of seats on the Prom or the beach. Makes for a really enjoyable picnic.

My favourite chippy ever. It's just got so much going for it. Less busy than those shops on the main harbour, incredibly fresh tasting. Great staff. And best of all, that curry sauce.im sure it has apple in it. Its so fruity and tasty. Great place.

We got takeout fish and chips from this place. You order your food then wait outside for it to be cooked. My son and I had haddock and chips. Chunky golden brown chips which were delicious, a lovely large piece of haddock in a light crispy batter, delicious spicy curry sauce. Great friendly service. Brilliant fish and chips.

Visited this chippy on a whim after a day at the beach and was very impressed. The fish was huge and was lovely and white. Chips were good and I was served a great portion. Good covid-19 measures in place too, can’t wait to visit the next time I’m in town

It's amazing how many fish and chip shops in this country can't actually cook either properly and whenever i do visit one i am expecting it to be average at best because it's so prevalent. However i was delighted with the food i had from Brid Bay fish shop. It was the best fish and chip meal i have had for quite some time i have to say. Fish and chips cooked properly is all i ask and this is what i got here. Will 100% go back next time in Brid.

The best fish and chips I have ever had.The fish was huge- twice the size you would get elsewhere. The fish was thick flaky and white and the batter was light and crispy. Perfect. The chips were fine- above average.. I was visiting grandparents and usually we get fish and hips from 149 which hail themselves as the best fish and chips in Brid- they are pretty ok but Brid Bay fisheries were much better, we only went in on the off chance after a morning at the beach. The queue initially looked long (8-10 families in front of us) but the team worked quickly And very efficiently. Everything looked spotlessly clean and there were plastic partitions down. Don’t forget to take your face mask.A credit to Bridlington

Visited on 22nd July. Been here on previous visits and was very good. How things change. The battered fish was atrocious. The fish didn’t taste fresh and the batter was very thick and stodgy. Inedible. I have posted pic below so don’t take my word for it. Judge for yourself. That batter is from one fish. Terrible.On another note they would only take cash payment. Why cash only in the current Covid climate? I suppose they may say card machine not working but didn’t say that when I asked. Until they improve quality I would avoid at all costs.

Popped in on the 29th July for some fish and chips and they were superb! Batter was lovely and crisp and staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Great measures set In place of COVID-19. I will definitely visit here again if I’m ever in Bridlington.

To be honest we only initially used this chip shop as it was the closest to where we were spending the day on the beach. However delicious fish and chips, friendly and quick service even when busy and reasonably priced. We have use this chippy whenever we come to Bridlington for a day at the beach

Fish was beautifully cooked, light crisp batter, chips were nice and non greasy. I had mine with peas. Others had curry sauce,which they said was nice and fruity.Pleasant staff, good social distancing in place. Definitely the best fish and chips ever. Great value for money too.

Lockdown is easing so we decided to have a trip to the seaside as my partner had yearning for proper fish and chips by the sea. We parked @ north beach and chose Brid Bay they haveare well organised with Covid rules and the social distance Q was well worth the wait delicious chunky fish and a great portion. The curry sauce was slightly disappointing but to be honest it was needed. Thank you superb fish and chips.

Great food and fantastic staff. Always a smile and a happy response any questions you may have If quiet we also love to check out the dance moves.

Visited the plaice (sorry place) yesterday on a lovely sunny day. Had a small haddock and chips, £2.50 but added some curry sauce 90p. Everything was cooked fresh in front of our eyes. The fish was spot on, the chips were nice and the curry sauce is probably the best I have tasted in a chippy. Sat outside in a small shelter to avoid the attention of an inquisitive seagull and looked across the majestic Brid Bay from Flamborough Head to Hornsea. Seriously great value, lovely friendly helpful staff (two young ladies), fresh tasting food, great location (with ample parking) and just a great experience on a beautiful day in God’s County.

Walked to this seafront chip shop in a sunny September day with a friend. We decided to order ‘small’ portions of fish and chips to eat sat on the seafront. They were totally delicious! We both ate every last bit! Value for money, tart and worth multiple visits.

Always have our final meal here before we set of home, after enjoying a few nights away.Though staff are young, they are well trained in delivering the perfect fish and chips, which are cooked to order, so always fresh.Option of small sizes is handy too for our family.Would never risk any where else & don’t think you can beat them- enjoy!

Just had the best chippie tea in ages. Friendly young staff served us. We had beautifully cooked haddock which was really tasty batter crisp and a lovely spiced curry sauce. They even filled my reusable water bottle with tap water free of charge. Perfect tea time treat .

The food was amazing and the fish was tasty; cooked well with the crispy batter. The chips were golden and had a sweet taste. The 3 lasses behind the counter couldn’t be more helpful. I will definitely be visiting soon.

Lovely fish and chips and even lovelier staff who were chatty and went the extra mile, even giving a free sausage cut up for our dogs. Portions were large small and well priced. We will be back :)

I’m not typically a person to leave a review but these girls deserved it! The fish was perfect - lovely and fresh! Not to mention the chips were fried beautifully. Portion size was great and the staff were lovely, bubbly and couldn’t have been more helpful. Would recommend to anyone.

I have never had better fish and chips ANYWHERE. Can't fault them.my only disappointment is that they don't take card payments,it delayed my enjoyment by 30mins whilst I frantically searched for a cash machine.

It's been a couple of years since I last had fish and chips here and the quality and service are still first rate. Pleasant staff who chatted happily as they were frying to order. Definitely a go to for me.

Such good food, and great friendly staff, would recommend to anyone and will definitely be coming again, hope nothing changes and hopefully will have the same staff as it was great speaking to them and getting to know the area!

We called in here a few weeks ago during a short trip to Bridlington. The place had just opened and I was surprised to see that the staff were all youngsters. I was a bit wary about this as I wasn't sure they would know how to cook fish and chips. How wrong could I be? The fish'n'chips were great and the kids themselves were a credit to themselves and their families. Really friendly and welcoming. Recommend this place.

Came here as a change from my usual chippy and I must say I’m glad I did. Fish was fresh and staff were extremely friendly. I’ll definitely be making this my new local chip shop.

After a long walk on the beach, I popped in to Brid Bay fisheries for fish chips and curry sauce and the food was divine! The young man behind the counter and the two young girls frying were all really polite and helpful. This is the first time I’ve been to brid in 2 years and next time I will definitely be coming back to this little chippy!

it’s quite difficult to get poor fish and chips on the east coast but some are better than others.This place is better than others.

Went there for fish and chips recently and first thing I noticed was the staff were bits of kids, I ordered fish and chips went outside and tried to eat them but my fish was full of bones so I ended up throwing them in bin , won’t be going there again fish and chips are too expensive to throw away

Perfect spot for top quality fish and chips as its located on the beach, the staff were friendly and helpful too. Yorkshire portion sizes and delicious fruity curry sauce. Would highly recommend if youre in the area, worth every penny!

Top chippy tea! Hands down best fish n chips in Brid for its age! Deffo recommend as its right on the seafront as well you cannot get a better view to enjoy your food either! The Curry Sauce is the one Scrumdiddlyumptious would be the word I’m looking for! Friendly staff and fast service

Had some fish and chips at the weekend. Fish and chips both well cooked and very fresh!!! Amazing taste. Even got the curry sauce with the fruity bits in which is the cherry on top of the cake for me! Would recommend Brid Bay to anyone.

Never have I ever had fish and chips as exceptional as brid bay, could not recommend enough. The staff were friendly and seem to be on top of things even on a busy day. Well run business and hardly any wait.

brilliant well cooked fish and chips,they also do sausage,pies,drinks etc.Its situated in a ideal location near to sewerby.There are benches just across to sit and eat and also take in the beautiful sea front.The service is good and the food is cooked fresh.I would defo recommend.

The fish and chips from here were excellent. The portions were a good size. There was no grease on the chips and they were big. Would definitely go there again when I'm next in Brid

Normalmente vamos al Wards cerca del spa, pero decide dar una oportunidad a este lugar. Ojalá no hubiese sido así! Teníamos un pescado patatas fritas y un breadcake. El breadcakes supuestamente estaban cubiertas de aferrarse de cine pero sólo tenía una delgada franja alrededor de la mitad de forma que los extremos estaban secos. Pescado y patatas fritas eran decepcionantes. Pescado sólo la mitad del tamaño de la que se obtenga en los pabellones por el mismo precio y muy grasosa. Tiró a la basura. mone No vamos aquí.

¿Dónde ir para pescado y patatas fritas en un miserable, Brid día de lluvia? Como el frente tenía unas plazas de aparcamiento que estaban desocupadas, este era perfecto. Pescado frito en un par de minutos, servicio amable, una comida muy agradable. Tanto pescado y patatas fritas estaban llenos de sabor, la ubicación es preciosa para sentarse y ver el mar.

Llamado antes mi paseo a los daneses de Dyke y pedimos pescado y patatas fritas 5 libras. 85 excelente relación calidad-precio y muy bien preparado el personal muy educado y amable. Muchos asientos al otro lado de la carretera, con estupendas vistas al mar este lugar mi nuevo favorito ahora principalmente por el tamaño de la porción y la calidad a un precio justo esperamos la próxima visita.

The interior is spotless, the staff are pleasant and the fish and chips are well cooked. The portion size is just right and they can be eaten on the wall straight opposite adjacent to the beach. A good value al fresco meal!

Called at this fish shop on father's day. A large queue but served quickly. The fish and chips were taste and highly recommended. Price not too bad also. Know whére to call next time.
