The Courtyard Cafe in Elmbridge

We recently visited Thai Courtyard and had an absolutely delicious meal in the garden! It's a small restaurant which is family-run with wonderfully authentic food. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

We follow the review and choose this Restaurant. The atmosphere, the layout with the outdoor dining area and the staff are warmly welcoming. The food potion is reasonable amount but could have slightly more. The food seasoning could have less vinegar apart from egg fried rice the rest are extra sour compared to other Thai restaurants. Overall salty and unnecessary sour on all dishes. Song Tam - Thai Papaya Salad with no pickles crab 🦀 or dried shrimp 🦐 and the chilli has been used frozen, I was expecting all the fresh ingredients. 4 dine in total cost for dishes was £78.40, Song Tam, 🍤 Prawns Hot pot, 🍤 Pad Thai, 🥚 Eggs fried rice, Squid 🦑 tempura, 🍤 Pad Kee Mow

Recently made a visit to the Courtyard and the service was very good for the most part, there seemed to be a lot happening with only one lady serving. The food we had was really tasty and good value, however one of the starters we received was not cooked properly and the chicken was reasonably pink inside. We were offered a new starter but we declined. Even though it is not a requirement, it would have been nice for the starter to be removed from the bill due to our not being able to eat the majority of it. Other than this inconvenience our meal was very pleasant.

Went in early to order delivery for a birthday celebration for 7 people. Really helpful and friendly service, providing advice for vegan options and amounts (which worked out perfectly). Lovely courtyard area which we’d hope to try when eating in some time. Food arrived exactly on time, hot and delicious and everyone really enjoyed their food. Bearing in mind Thai can be a pricier take away option, we felt £135 for 7 people was excellent value for what we received and we would recommend for value, portion size and quality.

Way too expensive and potions are poor, hence the reason why it looked so quiet in there today.

Food superb, freshly cooked and delicious, the Red Curry was the best I've had for a long long time. Very welcoming family run business . Highly recommend.

Would Rate- 5 if I could. Asked for no meat and got some sort of meat in the red curry. Watery slop, friend tasted and said it was tasteless. Rice was microwaved at most. Completely inedible.

The pad kra pao is amazing I ate it everyday for a week! Highly recommended!

Highly recommend! I went for dinner with a friend and we had the most delicious meal. The best Thai we have eaten since we visited Thailand 13 years ago! So fresh and the flavours were amazing. Cannot recommend this little gem of a place enough. A family run business and the owners are so lovely. I have also had many a take away from here which is always lovely but eating in is something else! Thank you again. We will be back soon!

Food was not authentic one, not even up to lemongrass chain like standard. The tom yum soup shouldn't taste like this.

This is a hidden gem with a lovely little courtyard out the back and home Thai cooking. We enjoyed it and didn't realise it had been here for 3 years already. It is good, honest cuisine with a wide ranging choice of menu. Great for a spontaneous night out!

Came in on a Friday early afternoon with my boyfriend before we set off on a long drive. The food is absolutely faultless, superb. Really lovely lady who served us, very sweet and welcoming. We sat outside in the courtyard, it's so pretty! Can't wait to come back!

The food and service was amazing, and discovered they have a very affordable lunchtime menu with a courtyard to sit down eat and work. Would highly recommend number 42 on the menu (can’t remember the name) along with the sharing platter to start. Will be coming back for sure

Sitting in the car in the rain after Hampton Court Flower Show we stumbled on the Thai Courtyard googling for somewhere to have dinner. How lucky were we! Lovely staff were so welcoming and the food was fantastic. Would certainly some again and anyone wanting a Thai treat in the area should not miss visiting.

We like a Thai , my issue is the photos of the tempura squid on the website and at the takeaway look nothing to what you get . Plus I ordered the green Thai curry which is suppose to be milder than a red , it wasn’t it was so hot . All I can say is lessons learned and we won’t be going back , after reading the other TA reviews we are not the only ones not happy

Expensive, tiny portions and curries which barely had any ingredients in them...more like soup than curry. Not authentic at all. Amazed that this place has a bunch of decent reviews. Never again!

What a great little find this was. It's only small but that just adds to the atmosphere, service was excellent ... it's a well oiled machine! Food was so good, really enjoyable and felt authentic Its not licensed so you can take your own alcohol, there's a Tesco opposite if you forget ... they charge corkage on a bottle and per can for beers We would come back and highly recommend

CANNOT fault this food at all. Cooked to perfection. I learnt it is ran by a family and they are all so lovely. All fantastically friendly and brilliant customer service. I was craving some authentic Thai food and this establishment did not disappoint. I HIGHLY recommend Thai Courtyard :-)

This is the best authentic Thai food at inflation busting prices. Takes me back to the streets of Bangkok . Every mouthful is a pleasure! The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. We are now regulars. The courtyard is beautiful. Added bonus BYO . Winner

We had a great time in Thai courtyard. It’s a small place but they are very friendly and clean. All of dish was fresh and lovely tasty. They said is family run business, and Phad this source house made. Tasty was different from others. And Som tam was bit spicy but great 👍 They also available garden seat. Will be great for summer time! We will be back 😬😬

Went there a couple of weeks ago for lunch and ended up paying over £40 for 2 without any alcohol. Went back today to try their special lunches £7.95 for a plate of food. But every lunch dish was chicken for cheapness so paid £2 extra for prawns instead. The prawns didn't taste like prawns, no flavour. The sweet and sour sauce that had been poured over them was not distinguished, it was straight from a bottle. The starters were Prawn Toast and those large prawns fried in batter that are made from small prawns stuck together. Bill came to over £34 without alcohol. The flimsy unpadded seats in the courtyard were extremely uncomfortable. So wasn't impressed, we can get a better lunch at Lemon Grass or the Giggling Squid and pay less for it.

Absolute hidden gem with a lovely courtyard garden. The food was amazing with the hospitality to match and very reasonably priced. Definitely will go again!

Very good value food in pleasant and clean environment

I found this place while driving past Thursday 14th July glad i stopped to check it out it is a lovely small shop front well presented & clean it also has a small well decorated courtyard which is very romantic I ordered green chicken curry tempura veg & asked the nice polite & very helpful manager Kate if they had sticky chicken on the menu they didn’t but she said they would cook it for me if they had the ingredients battered chicken pieces in honey & sesame seeds they did & it was divine much better than the giggling squid which is poor quality & very expensive this place is a small family run business & deserves local support so it can keep delivering top quality food at a reasonable price very impressed will definitely spend my money here have told friends & family can’t wait to order more will definitely be my new regular a very happy Jon Groves ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🏁

This is some of the best Thai food I’ve eaten. The recipes are traditional home cooked meals which makes the dishes a little different from most Thai restaurants. The little courtyard at the back is a hidden gem and full of charm. The staff are so friendly and attentive. It’s one to go back to time and again.

Brilliant food - we sometimes struggle to agree as a family on Thai food for a meal out, but this place united us in praise. Loved everything. The service was memorably outstanding, really helpful when asked about anything. We will be back.

Having read from other reviews they deliver (free within 3 miles) we gave them a go and weren't disappointed. Phoned and ordered from menu on their website. Really tasty food which came fast and hot. Very reasonably priced too. Will definitely be returning! Only complaint is it would be better if their website mentioned the delivery service!

Lived here for almost a year and only just recently stumbled on this tiny little charmer! So glad I did. I came in for a quick lunch special (£7.95 for well-portioned pad thai with two spring rolls) and the food was absolutely spot on. Hot, fresh and moreish. I'm coming back soon for more.

The food was the best Thai food I had out of Thailand. Exceptional quality. Remarkable atmosphere of Thailand is replicated. The garden is the best place to enjoy the meals!. And very very friendly staff!

Beef Red curry was very watery and beef was like cardboard. Same with the chicken in the coconut soup. The prawns were mushy. Disappointed after reading all the positive reviews.

Came last night with my girlfriends, very welcoming upon arrival, we sat outside in the courtyard with the heater on and it was beautiful. The food was INCREDIBLE! One of the best I’ve had since being in Thailand, in fact, I’d say near enough bang on. Family run, most accommodating waitress. They deliver free over £25 so make sure to go to them direct for your deliveries. Deliveroo and Just Eat take 40-45% of their order earnings. We should want to try and keep small local businesses thriving and going direct with your orders is the best way! We have had dinner here twice, in their little outside courtyard, and experienced their takeaway. Both were excellent - good choice of dishes, beautifully cooked and generous portions. Run by a very friendly family, who take pride in what they do. Recommend wholeheartedly.

After recommendations by both a friend and a neighbour, we tried a takeaway from The Thai Courtyard and were not disappointed. Superb quality food at a reasonable price. Everything tasted fresh with great flavours. The portion size was very good and both my wife and I were very impressed with everything. We will be visiting again and for anyone who enjoys Thai food, definitely give The Thai Courtyard a go, you will not be disappointed.

The food here is plentiful, very tasty and prepared by people who care about the ingredients they use. Can't ask for more than that. Will definitely be back.

went for dinner with 3 pals after trying the lunch time menu with my daughter.Can happily recommend .Sat in the small courtyard with good service and cracking food.My three pals, all live relatively local , found it surprising they didn't know about such a little gem.

The courtyard at the back of the restaurant is a lovely area to eat . The food is very good both in flavour and presentation. A caring family restaurant/take away well worth a visit - great Thai food cooked beautifully.

I had a take away hand delivered by the manager this afternoon and was very impressed with the experience. I ordered satay chicken, it was cooked perfectly, and tasted just as it does it Thailand! Irksome had a chicken pad Thai wish had just the right amount of spice, it was very fresh and a lovely size portion. Thank you very much

Good value and well cooked Thai food. Would definitely recommend it for take-away or VERY casual eat in. We’ve done both and will do so again lots more times I am sure. BTW, if you ask for a dish to be spicy, then they don’t disappoint.

This is my absolute favorite Thai restaurant. The food is always delicious and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal, and the prices are very reasonable. This is authentic Thai food and the chief will adjust the spices to your taste, just ask. The staff are also great and always efficient, happy and polite. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Molesey or in the general Hampton Court area.

Really delicious food, so excited to have this open on the high street. Noodle soup was very comforting and the som tum was properly spicy. Very reasonably priced too. We'll definitely be back, I hope they do well in these hard times.

Courtyard cafe is good place for breakfast and to drink tasty coffee with reasonable prices, there is also backyard garden.. i will popin next time.:)

We have recently visited the Courtyard cafe and had there great experience!The food is amazing!Kids loved the green garden and toys which were very clean and interesting for them!My tuna melt panini was crispy and yummy!Very good place to spend with family and friends!

When we visited the Courtyard cafe,we can feel the great ambience already. They have great menus and my little one ran towards their garden as they have toys and table and chairs perfect for kids. The owners, Julia and Ali, are very friendly and very accommodating. We had an awesome experience and great food!

I tried this love coffee shop for the first time and everything was super Amazing. Service: Super efficient and quick A*Breakfast: Super fresh and tasty A* Coffee: Way better than Costa and Starbucks! And the staff incredibly friendly and professional.
