We had a wonderful lunch at At Home when we visited. We weren't an easy bunch either, 9 adults, including vegans and vegetarians, one baby and 3 dogs. We had to sit outside due to the dogs, but they were happy for us to move the tables around to accommodate buggies and dogs etc a seperate complete Vegan menu was available which is so rare. The food was delicious and the service friendly and efficient. Highly recommended, thank you

Visited this favourite cafe for lunch again for the first time in nearly 3 years and it is still as good as ever. Delicious food prepared and delivered by delightful staff. It was a hard decision but we opted for Morecambe bay Potted shrimps served with hot toast and lovely fresh salads. Next time the Quiche might win out, but then again the soup and so it goes on. My partner has been hankering for a good Custard Tart and spied it on the menu and checked that it was indeed homemade - silly question on reflection. To say it was sublime is an understatement.

May 16th 2016 we visited this cafe as last December we found it excellent compared with another popular cafe. Living here in France where hot chocolate is the normal drink in the day, the quality has to be good otherwise you go to the next cafe. The hot chocolate at this place is absolutely superb. Atmosphere most welcoming. Two young mothers with two children came in while we were there. A high chair was very quickly brought to their table, no problems, no fuss. This small action showed us how caring the owners were. Everyone, no matter what age is welcome there. Loved the place, unfortunately we were on our journey back home so we could not have evening dinner there. See you in December when we are back in the area.

A good central cafe in Grange over Sands. Stopped for an unexpected lunch and was delighted with the quiche and salad I ordered. Beautiful quiche and a lovely fresh salad. Good quality food at a reasonable price. In the past I have stopped for coffee and cake and also afternoon tea. Each time I have been very impressed.

Called lunchtime on New Years Eve, very full, only got a table due to a cancellation. Restricted menu as it was NYE but enough choice. Lovely freshly prepared panini' with a small salad full of colour, much better than the usual lettuce! Obviously a place that caters for regulars & looks after them well. Omelettes were good too.

We have visited this area a number of times and always enjoyed a morning break drink in the town. During May 2015 we stopped at the other cafe and was totally disgusted with the attitude of the staff and the non service!!!This visit we chose this fabulous, if a little small, cafe/bistro. Utter revelation. Atmosphere wonderful, hot chocolate divine and the service immediate and superb.Such was the morning impression we returned for our evening dinner.Yet again the service was friendly and the food delicious and well presented. There is no doubt that this cafe will receive our custom on the two occasions we visit South Lakeland each year. A brilliant find!

The weather last weekend was wet and very windy. We happened to pass this wee place and thought it looked welcoming. Three had hot chocolate and Baileys (fabulous) and one had coffee, I had home-made chocolate shortcake, my friend had lemon drizzle cake, and two had a scone with jam and cream. The staff were very attentive and as we were visitors, the waitress gave us very helpful advice on where to go and what to see in Grange-over-Sands. A must for every visitor to the town. That evening they were having a French evening, but as we were staying in a hotel, we couldn't attend.

There are a selection of starters and puddings and you have to choose 5 from both lists. It was difficult to decide what to go for, I was tempted to go for 5 deserts, but chooser to have 2 savoury starters and 3 puddings! The food was lovely and came at sufficient intervals. The tables are quite close together but this is a good way of meeting new people and socialising! The restaurant is in the basement which is very cosey and suitability decorated very tastefully. The service was very good, the staff were friendly and accommodating.

We had a meal for two here on a specials evening tonight. It was really good. Generous portions and very tasty. Would definitely come again. Far better than our meal at a respected restasurant in Cartmell last night that cost the same

Called in whilst out and about yesterday in Grange over sands, ready for a sit down and a drink, the weather was mild and we had our dog with us so sat outside. I popped in to place our order and it was a good job we were outside as it was pretty full inside, always a good sign! The lady that served me was very polite and had a smile, after ordering 2 full hot chocolates, I did eye up the cakes, but although they looked fabulous I was too full from lunch! Unfortunately! The drinks came quickly and went down a treat. We would definitely call back in and recommend it.

Called here for a takeaway lunch, used them several times before. Service was disappointing to say the least. Not a please or thankyou from the ladies working in the shop - even when I pointed out they'd only charged me for 1 flat white! Previous reviews also highlight the fact that the staff are miserable, they respond but do nothing to address the concerns raised. Also, I would've thought that as u was the only customer in the shop on a very wet day would have been positive for them - obviously not! Not sure I'll return here.

Visited here with my Dad today. Asked for a tea cake and then a scone both not on the menu anymore. I had a bagel with salmon and cream cheese paid over £8 and that was it no sides, no even a bit of salad - didn’t taste great. Dad ordered pancakes in the end 2 tiny pancakes on a dish - still hungry when we left. Not great service either. Disappointed!

Terrible customer service! The young girl at the till clearly did not want to be there. She was huffing and puffing at customers! Yes, it was very busy as yesterday, 15th October was a beautiful autumn day but I would think they would be glad of end of season trade! I could not sit down because they were so busy so opted to ask for take away coffee and cake, only to be told by her 'I'm not doing take away'. Really? The local co-op is closed for a refurbishment and they really could capitalise on that if they employed more capable, less miserable staff! Shocking!! Won't return!

Stopped to have a tea, latte and a slice of carrot cake. Great service and a huge slice of cake that we shared. Great value for money.

Called in for a coffee and snack after our frequent walk along the bay and round back into Arnside. When this first opened I was a little wary as we are used to small intimate tea/coffee shops in Arnside. However this was our second visit and as we entered we were greeted by obviously the front of house guy “David”. Wow does this guy know how to do it Welcoming ,friendly, Northern (always a bonus). Had a lovely coffee and Hubby had a great crisp bacon bun. The vibe in this cafe/restaurant is great., modern but great service. We live quite locally and are encouraged to go in the evening now as well. In our opinion the best restaurants are always about the front of house and Crossfields has it right. Everyone in this place has a great view of our beautiful Morecambe bay.
