Overall disappointing experience. Ordered a takeaway at 5pm to be delivered at 6.25pm. At 6.50pm no order arrived so phoned for a update - no answer. Phoned again at 6.55pm to be told order would be delivered in 10 minutes (7.05pm). At 7.20pm order was finally delivered - 55 minutes late. Driver apologised stating staff shortages to cook and deliver. Ordered tray pizza with pepperoni - disappointing lack of pepperoni. Poor Customer service, disappointing quality of food and not worth money paid. Like to use local companies and this was first experience of Etna - likely to be first and last.

I have not been here in two years but thought I would review the place. When I used to visit here, I lived on Foster Hill Rd, so it was very accessible for me. The food was outstanding, fresh and soo tasty. You get what you pay for. I will be giving this Pizzeria another visit soon.

I love their pizza, I’ve ordered a few times. This is the first time in a while. I got a ham and mushroom. My first slice I lifted up and all the toppings and cheese fell off. I’ve got about 375 mushroom slices on my my pizza, and it looks like a child has cut it up because my and my girlfriend have head sized slices

We ordered five x 1-meter pizzas for a party and they were fantastic. Cannot recommend them enough. Ordered online with note to say when we wanted delivery and they arrived on time and tasted delicious.

Have ordered from here a couple of times a month for over 2 years. The delivery driver told me there had been a change in management. It was clear from the change in pizza quality, why would you change a great thing? The pizza was ok but it used to be great! The pizza seemed smaller, the ingredients tasted cheaper (I ordered pepperoni and salami, these used to be fresh but on this visit I just got loads of rubbery pepperoni and although the dough is probably the same it used to be flaky with nice burnt bits). Disappointed, will stick with papa Gigi’s in the future.

Ordered pizza from here with some sweet cannellonis, it was easily the best pizza I've had in Bedford. Authentic ingredients and toppings, properly stone baked too. The price is justified by the quality of the food.

I have been in Bedford recently to visit some friends and I ordered a "Bianco pizza". In few minutes it was ready, the staff was really friendly and the pizza was tasteful. I really recomend this place!

Ordered for the first time tonight as it had been recommended. Arrived slightly later than advised but was all cold. We ordered 3 different pizzas and Brushetta. The Brushetta was basically a pizza dough covered in sliced tomatoes and missing every other classic ingredient? We reheated the pizzas but even after we were disappointed with flavours. All tasted the same and flavourless. Perhaps a bad night in house or overrated?

If you like it doughy and undercooked, that's your place. Shame as some good reviews around....

This was our first take away from Etna, after being highly recommended by our neighbours. Definitely having again. The pizza was excellent, probably one of the best we’ve had locally. First class customer service: I had to ring after ordering online as I made a mistake but they were very helpful and it was sorted promptly. The delivery was on time and again, the guy was so lovely & polite. I realise pizza is such a personal thing but honestly; great experience all round. Loved it, we’ll be back.

Ordered pizza from here as we had been recommended that it's the best pizza in Bedford. We went with the package where you upgrade to 16 inch and get free garlic bread and puddings. At £44.00 we thought it would be worth it. We knew we had to wait 55min and were fine with that but when the delivery arrived it was only the pizzas. I called the restaurant and was told I had to leave a comment if I wanted the puddings and garlic bread. Nowhere did it say this. I explained this to the lady who really couldn't have cared less attitude and asked to speak to. Th manager. I was told he is too busy!!! Excuse me? She said she would get them to call me back which I am still waiting for.. The pizza was cold, tasteless and unless I get to speak to a manager today I will be taking my orders elsewhere in the future. Terrible experience.

Four of us ordered pizzas and garlic bread which was delivered. They were absolutely amazing. We only heard about this place recently from a chance remark by someone else. They are the most authentic pizzas outside of Italy! The garlic bread with cheese was to die for. Highly recommended

This is honestly THE BEST pizzera in bedford hands down - if not the best ive had in the UK - honestly the ingredients are so fresh - tomato so sweet and tasty - me and my boyfriend love the picante pizzas and the cheesy garlic bread is to die for - they take your feedback on and improve - they're so friendly! tried every pizzera in the area - even the newer ones - nothing compares - honestly tried etna you're never going back! Also be kind to them - they're popular so wait times are sometimes long - but defo worth it! xx

Update - not going again. Ordered online and again with no prior warning as soon as I ordered said delayed by 40 mins. I was already super hungry so would’ve gone elsewhere, and ended up being delayed by 50 mins so 1h 40 total delivery time. And the salt levels were ridiculous. It’s 18 hours later and I’m still desperate for liquid. Very tasty. However before I ordered it said estimated 45-55 mins for delivery. When I order it said delays so an extra 40 mins (so 95 mins). It ended up coming after just 30 mins - a little more accuracy would be appreciated. Also was up all night gasping for water as it was quite salty.

I've lived in Bedford for years now and only just discovered this place. Probably the BEST pizza I've ever had in the UK. Absolutely stunning. Will never go anywhere else!

Just a quick update on the below. This place is the best but you never know when they'll deliver it. They've taken around 2 hours on a couple of occasions, which might not be so bad but you never get a good idea of when your food will actually arrive. Two of the most bland pizza we have ever had Ordered the Parma which was ok The Tricolore cherry tomatoes they certainly were not nor were there Parmesan flakes Very disappointed. First and last time there

Ive ordered from here loads of times, always piping hot, fresh, tasty delicious authentic italian pizza, I will always choose etna over any other pizzeria in bedford as ive tried Santiellos and mamma Concetta and just no where near as good! Leaving a review now as during lockdown had a prompt delivery and contact free, also all the food was exceptional and they catered for my families allergens too! Highly recommend you will not regret it! it bangs!!

Ordered tonight for the first time and what a nice surprise, absolutely delicious! Cooked to perfection with the right amount of toppings and the Nutella ring for dessert just wow! Will order again! p.s. My family have been massive fan of the other authentic italian pizzeria in town but I must say they both equally good.

Easily the best takeaway pizza in Bedford. They use a wood fired pizza oven and cook traditional simple Italian style pizzas which focus on using only a few, but good quality ingredients. Prices are great for a meal in for 2, but it would be pricy for a large party. Pizzas are reasonably sized and probably comparable to a medium elsewhere. Give the homemade arancini balls ago if they have them available.

I haven’t tried everywhere yet but so far this is by far the best Pizza in Bedford . Nothing is to much trouble for the team. I have an intolerance to Cheese which in the past has made it difficult to get a tasty pizza. These Guys have looked after this on several occasions and I can’t praise them enough .i order online

Fantastic pizza! The menu is good with an excellent choice of various pizzas all reasonably priced. You can see they use genuine and delicious ingredients. I will keep ordering from this lively place!

Very punctual had my order ready the specified time and everything seemed fresh. Staff seemed very friendly and welcoming. My issue is that I was expecting an authentic pizza but it’s been adjusted to British tastes. The base is way too bready and had too much cheese. I’ll order again but my suggestion would be to offer thin base too.

Real Italian pizza made using real Italian ingredients by a real Italian. Tasty sourdough base, fresh toppings and lots of cheese. WIGA? Definitely would go again. This pizza takeaway is a real find.

Not overloaded with toppings but combinations of flavours that work well together on a perfectly cooked pizza base. The tomato sauce is made in house, they use some imported Italian ingredients & have two types of mozzarella depending on the type of pizza you choose! They even have a pizza with wild broccoli - which is AMAZING. If you're a regular Dominoes or Pizza Hut takeaway lover or a fan of eating at Pizza Express you seriously need to visit ETNA PIZZA on the double!!! I can almost guarantee that once you order from ETNA PIZZA you will not want another pizza from anywhere else in Bedford!!!If you get the pizzas delivered, they arrive steaming hot - but I love going in, watching them make & cook my pizza in the wood fired oven right in front of me. Another benefit of going to collect the pizza is you can eat a slice in the car just seconds after it's out of the wood fired oven (be careful it will be boiling hot!) - hahaha!

We ordered two pizzas for collection after a family member said they'd heard good things.The pizza was incredible - delicious base, cooked perfectly, not overly greasy and the toppings on our "tricolore" were generous and top quality.I found it easy to order from their website (and got a free garlic bread for spending over £20 which was great) and they quickly let me know that it'd take 10 minutes more than predicted by the website which I found helpful.I'd highly recommend it - seems like a fantastic family business that I'd really like to see do well.I'd add a photo but we ate it too quick!

Authentic Italian food by authentic Italians! If we agree that what we eat should be of the best quality then you will appreciate the food from here. Very tasty and made in clean premises - which are a bit cramped, so you can't eat there, but it's a take away and the food is well worth it.

I try this pizzeria several times, and I always happy after eat the pizza here, why? Because is authentic Italian pizza and use fresh ingredients plus cook in a wood fire oven, what else??!! Amazing taste, just try :))

My partner used to live in Bedford and this is pretty much the only place we miss from that city. Good pizza is a rare thing in the UK, as most British people simply have no idea about what constitutes a good pizza, with the usual offerings usually being more of an American style affair that's been cooked to the point that the cheese (of which there is far too much) has been scorched to a solid carapace over stodgy dough and listless toppings. Which is why Etna is such a jewel. You know as soon as you walk in that the pizza is going to be good, because there's only about five or six pizzas on the menu; when a place chooses to focus on just a few options, you know it's because they care about quality and want to focus on their strengths. The topping options are traditional Italian combinations, and provided in generous quantities with the right amount of cheese so that the toppings aren't drowned, but rather complimented by it. The sourdough bases are absolutely fantastic, the right amount of chewiness and springiness that you'd expect from an authentic pizza. Every time we visited, we'd be in and out within five minutes, because that's how long it takes them to make a pizza, the authentic way.They had some nice homemade Sicilian cannoli for dessert too.

Never disappointed with these guys. Fresh, hot sourdough pizzas every time. Really don’t know why there aren’t more reviews on here? More people should know about this place. Delivery is always on time or early. Try the fresh cannolis!

Really tasty pizzas. The prize is reasonable (one pizza-tray £18) The delivery took exactly the time that they told me on the phone and the guy that picked the phone up and the one that did the delivery they where both really nice. The only reason that they are not getting 5 stars is that the pizza came a bit smash.

Wow is all I can say! The freshest pizza I've tasted without being in Italy!! Lovely light sourdough base and totally fresh produce on top. The canolis are to die for as well!!!! Will only be using these guys for my takeaway pizza needs now. Please note, there's only one size which is adequate for one person , personally one to share between two isn't enough for me.
