The best restaurants in England

Didn't see the rooms but thought it looked very nice throughout. Set on the River London it's a pretty location with ample parking.

Lovely little coffee shop. Good value and nice staff. Would visit again.

We recently went, with friends, to a Gin night at The Stables Fantastic event and food! We contacted them prior as we had one member with dietary needs and Karen was so helpful and went well above what we expected to make sure that everyone was catered for. Would thoroughly recommend The Stables and will be returning!

Lovely setting! Friendly and helpful!Lovely menu and fantastic food. The staff are amazing and so helpful. Real log fires crackling away, great atmosphere, we were a couple with a dog and treated amazingly. Thank you, will be back a few more times before we go home. The food was amazing- my first time trying lebanese food, and this has set high standards. The guys there are very friendly and you can tell they are very proud of their food. Prices are very reasonable as well. It is also a great location with a fair amount of seating outside.

Great food and customer service! 18 of us were in the area on holiday and had a meal here on my birthday. We pre-ordered, as you would expect with a big group. The food was great and the staff were so welcoming and helpfull.

Had my granddaughter's christening party at the gunmakers all the staff especially Sam were absolutely brilliant food was fantastic. First time in the pub and we will definitely definitely be going again. Thank you Sammy for a great day x

We stayed at the hotel on Saturday night and decided to have dinner in the restaurant, after reading the reviews I wasn't expecting much, how wrong we were, we had the Scallops starter, I had Sea Bass, my wife had baked Cod for our mains and it was top quality, we have eaten in some of the best restaurants in this country and abroad and this was right up there if not better, hats off to the new Chef, brilliant work. Also a big thank you to Barry the hotel manager who works his socks off and looked after us.

Only came in for takeaway flat whites but ended up getting a cake as they looked so good. The lady was super helpful and coffee and cake were both very good. The food looked amazing, so would definitely come back and eat in sonetime, and the deli also looked interesting to browse around.

Nice brunch - though the smashed avocado sourdough was not actually on sourdough! Very friendly proprietors and decent coffee.

I found this hotel excellent. Decent, clean, excellent, polite and helpful staff, all for a super-competitive price. If you're looking for a budget or mid range option it's a very good choice.
