1st time visit to this v busy and popular establishment after I had seen the hype on social media. Had to wait in queue as reminds me abit of Subways. Went for the chicken wrap and vegan option of Falafel salad. Staff were very friendly and asked for my name also commented on my lanyard. Asked me lots of questions about sauces and salad preferences. Waited at the tables. Good service and food was great. The wrap bread itself was highlight and 1st bite was delicious. The sauces were abit odd but succulent. Premium quality hence abit pricey I guess for a shawarma. Food was filling. I would recommend and visit again. )

food was lovely but customer service needs work. I couldn’t hear what the lady making my wrap was saying and she made no attempt to speak louder or help me understand, rolled her eyes at me and was extremely rude. if staff are unable to speak louder then music needs to be turned down and the options included in the price need to be explained better either on the menu or by the person serving you, a minimal level of politeness would also be nice. Shawarma was yummy but this put a sour taste in our mouths.

Leeds has so many great places to eat, but this is one of the best. The food is incredible, and it's even worth spending a bit more to get the lamb. The staff are knowledgeable about the food and even suggest combinations to you, which is helpful. My only gripe is they they stopped doing the halloumi fries a while back. I hope they return one day!

Bloody ell !!!! Best shawarma I've had in this country. I am from Nottingham and was visiting Leeds for work. Sieved through some deliveroo options and came a across this amazing place. Ordered in the meal deal and the taste was absolutely fabulous. Highly recommended.

Food is delicious lamb and chicken cooked to perfection along with the sauces tops it up staff customer service is good no fault but unfortunately they only take CARD so if your planning on taking a journey to Sqew have some monies on your card 😂 Cash Is King 💸 👑

This place has the best Shawarma I have tasted in the UK. Super authentic (lebanese shawama style). Good portion with reasonable price. Seating isn’t the best but definitely worth trying!

Second time visiting here and the food is still incredible! The shawarma is tasty, freshly prepared and plenty of tasty pickles and sauces etc to choose from. The staff are friendly and service fantastic. Couldn't fault the food here as it is fantastic. Of course it's going to cost more than your usual greasy kebab but that's because it's a much more premium product, tasty meats and salads.

Visited tonight for the first time and wheeeww! So worth the wait! Mixed shawarma with every topping and tahini sauce with chips - so, so tasty! Great portion size too - ample filling but not too much that you’re an absolute mess after eating it. Will be returning without a doubt!

Banging, best kebab in Leeds. The choices are endless so make sure to ask the staff what they recommend & they’ll walk you through what you might like. Go for the mixed khobez with everything in. Also check out the Salam cola. Mega.

Good food, but very pricey. £8.50 for a chicken shawarma is excessive.

We had the mixed hummus bowl which was fantastic, we have been here before which has always been great. The only letdown was being sat next to the door, it felt like a wind tunnel. This was due to the door not closing correctly. Apart from that it would have been 5 Stars. We will be back

I ordered here for the second time because this place was recommended and it looks really nice on social media, but unfortunately the second time I was very disappointed... I ordered one of the wraps and I didn't taste the meat at all, it was terribly dry without any sauces, the main ingredient was fries placed inside which killed the taste.

Great food, fairly priced and staff are lovely.

Can't comment on service or atmosphere as ordered on Uber eats. However the food was very good, I think it would be better to order in person. Both wraps were really tasty, well filled and it's good value for money. Only downfall was that I didn't expect it to be quite so oily, maybe that was the intention as i'd never eaten this type of food before. I would definitely get it again but would go in person next time

Delicious shawarma. I went full vegan falafel, hummus etc. My middle-eastern colleague says these are the most authentic shawarma she's found in the UK.

Great middle eastern place with some nice authentic touches to the menu. Mainly takeaway, but also caters for quick eat in dining with a few tables inside. Simple menu, but well made. I had chicken shawarma (with lots of choice of salad and sauce), falafel, and chai - all really good, and like i say the authentic touches make this stand out. Only downside: no toilet facilities. Staff really friendly though.

I was recommended this place by a friend and it did not disappoint! Staff were so welcoming, especially Yasmin who went out her way to give me some Falafel to try! I will definitely be coming back again. Also love how the menu is so simple and easy to follow & also an eat in option.

Went in at 10.02pm, staff could not serve us due to saying they are closed. On google and at on the main door said it closes at 11pm. The server was also laughing and smirking. Extremely disrespectful. Would not recommend.

The food is decent, but price lets it down - it would cost less to drive to bradford or even manchester and have the same food also the lack of parking is a bit annoying so getting a quick bite to go if you are driving is not an option

Some of the best, fresh and tasty food we’ve eaten! Service is impeccable! Such a shame you’re city centre as it’s a ball ache to drive in, park up and walk to you, just for Shawarma! A ball ache I will continue to do until there’s an out of city centre location lol. P.S we do order through Deliveroo but by the time they’ve rode to us on a bike it’s luke warm and not as nice straight off the grill.

Food was ok nothing special, staff were indifferent at best and cashier surly when I proffered a £20 note and got a robotic “card only”. Found a table, the online free which found out why a moment later. Next to the entrance door which was broken and wouldn’t close properly so I had to eat my kebab in an artic blast constantly. Won’t be coming here again. I’ve been a customer since it opened but tonight was by far the worst experience I’ve had.

Most of kebabs in Leeds city centre are low quality, but this one is another level of kebabs , different dimension, unbeatable, inimitable, incomparable. Absolutely SMASHING!

It was my first time trying out Sqew Shawarma Bar. I got the Lamb Khobez Wrap meal with fries and a Salaam Yemonade Drink. The Lamb Khobez wrap with fries is fire 🔥 now I need to try out the Chicken Shawarma. I have heard from a lot of people that the Chicken Shawarma is on fire 🔥 The Chicken Shawarma was sold out. I'm getting it differently next time. Salaam Yemonade is very nice 👌 I got two more drinks at the end of the meal. They were Karak Chai and Ayran, which is a salted yoghurt drink. Both drinks are homemade and have a very nice taste to them both. With Sqew Shawarma Bar, everything is homemade. All the ingredients come from the Middle East, like Palestine 🇵🇸, Jordan 🇯🇴, and Lebanon 🇱🇧 it's good to know this. The staff are so friendly and helpful. One of the staff members, Ollie, was so helpful and had great service from him. I think he needs a promotion. The co-owner, Jake, is happy and friendly with all his customers. His knowledge of food and drinks is great to have from a business owner. The customer service and the food are 10 out of 10. I will always come back here. I highly recommend Sqew Shawarma Bar.

I arrived and they were very busy. They asked me to wait 4 minutes. After 10 minutes, 6 people walked in and they got their orders served. Shitty service

I ate from it the first couple of months it opened and their chicken and lamb were both high quality and the taste of Shawrma’s was authentic and delicious with fresh ingredients. Later, the quality and taste of the food dropped and I started to find it extremely greasy, garlicky and unedible. I gave it a final chance today and I’m sure I wouldn’t recommend or eat here anymore. Sad because it had potential.

Went in to try one of their new drinks and walked out without paying a penny. The reputation and customers obviously come first. Felt like a bit of a cheapskate though so ill be back to try the grub next week… it looked fantastic 👌👌

Best Shawarma ever in the UK, the chicken is definitely delicious, and the sandwich size is more than enough for a very hungry person. The French fries are fresh and crispy. The best part is the garlic sous, it's raised everything to different levels. The staff are very friendly, they offer free chai late and also give us a free water when we need it.

had a hour to kill before my train i always seen these guys on insta so i thought i give it a go being from london we pretty spoiled with options and apparently this is the best in leeds got a mixed kobez wrap the meat tasted good juciy and flavourfull how ever the bread tasted old chewy and stale which when biting on did not give a good experience the salad ratio was off to much salad not enough meat the chilli wasnt a traditional shatta chili suace was generic over all these guys have the recipie for a very good shwarma but it needs some work i would come back and give it another ago service was great place looked clean the price more expensive than places in london average price is 7.5 i paid 9.5 in leeds not sure if its because its in the city centre

I visited today after being recommended to come here by my friend, and wow it was amazing. I got the chicken shawarma for takeout and it was piping hot and fresh. All of the staff members were very friendly and polite from the moment I walked in. I would definitely recommend and can't wait to come back!!

Finally a proper shawarma place in Leeds. Been to a to quiet a few places around London (Edgware road) and always wished we had something just as good in Leeds. Anyway, glad to say this place is excellent. Chicken and lamb options, beautiful salads, pickles an sauces. Better than what I've experienced in London honestly!! Wishing these guys the best. I tried this place 3 different times, it was average on the first 2 but it was absolutely exceptional on the last visit, 100% recommend.

This is my second time visiting and was a total disaster. Ordered 2x lamb shawarmas, and was quite disappointed with them. The meat itself was rubbery and very chewy, the ratio of meat to salad was off, hardly any lamb in there, the new practise of having pre-made scoops of meat to add to the wrap is shocking and extremely tight considering a shawarma is a tenner. Would never come back, consider the many alternatives available in town as this was not great. The only good thing about my experience was the young lad serving me, very polite lad and his customer service was okay.

The Shawarma is amazing and the Service is impeccable. I enjoyed chatting with Mitch and Nadime about the history of Shawarma. Highly recommend.

Sold out at 11pm on Saturday despite being “open” til 1am

I gave this restaurant more than one chance because a lot of people recommended it to me. and I tried different things. And I still didn’t like the taste of the food and every time I got my order something would be missing in the order. However I tried it in the restaurant as well it wasn’t really bad but not what I expected since it’s a high rated restaurant in google maps and for the price as well it’s in the high priced side . For me I wouldn’t eat here aging with all the respect!

Got a meat platter watch the prices said £7 90 and it was £11 90 big difference which I was drunk the meat very fatty well disappointed never again !!!

The best lamb shawarma I've ever tried. Been to many a shawarma places. The guys on the counter were super helpful and nice with their recommendations.
