Excellent customer service and delicious cakes

Met a friend here recently on his suggestion and so glad I did. This is a lovely welcoming cafe with strong values that shine through in the events which are advertised and the way customers are looked after. Just had hot drinks but I'm sure the food and cocktails would be great also. I liked the look of the events and films that were advertised. All in all a very good experience and I'll definitely be back

Came in for coffee and cake - so nice to have somewhere for coffee that doesn't close at 4! Lovely atmosphere and really friendly and welcoming service. Coffee was superb and apple and cinnamon cake was AMAZING. Can't wait to come back and try more!

I recently visited Cabinet Rooms for the first time, and I’m disappointed with myself for not going sooner! It’s a quaint French-themed café bar, with a fabulous vibe and lots of comfy seating. A small group of us stopped for some after dinner cocktails, and we ended up staying for several hours exploring their extensive cocktail and drinks list. I’d highly recommend the Kamaniwanalaya - have fun trying to say that after a few. The staff were all very friendly and attentive, as well as being efficient with their service. They do food for breakfast and lunch, as well as ‘snacky’ plates in the evening, which we will definitely come back and try another time. I will certainly be back again, as it quickly became one of my favorite spots for a drink in the city!

I visited for a hot drink after a Mother’s Day lunch in Winchester. Very friendly staff, welcoming and polite. My mum asked for sweeteners, unfortunately they didn’t have any but before she had finished her coffee one of the team had gone to the shop to get some for her. We thought that was very kind and attentive. Thankyou

Great coffee and interesting decor.

Such a stylish, welcoming and cosy cafe: the decor is gorgeous and the staff are absolutely lovely. Open for breakfast, lunch and cocktails - they also have film screenings and other great looking events. A great playlist whilst we were there too. There was a surprising shortage of pastries when I visited on Sunday and the croissant I ate looked beautiful but wasn’t very good. Would definitely return for cocktails.

We came here couple of times for cocktails and gins. They have a lot different, amazing gins for gins lovers and lovley cocktails. The service is always brilliant and even on busy Saturday was fast. Definitely I recommend this place and I'm looking forward to try their coffee and food.

Christmas Eve and I met my son for a quick coffee as I won't see him on Christmas day. Usual generic pancake house beginning with "J" was full and saw the Cabinet rooms opposite the Barbers where he works. Sooooooo pleased generic pancake house beginning with "J" was full else I'd have missed out on the excellent flat white and properly tasty bacon sandwich at Cabinet Rooms. We were tied for time or I would have stayed for another flat white. It was a brief visit but first impressions count in my book and I was impressed this morning with Cabinet Rooms See you soon Todd

A cocktail lovers paradise in the evening & a beautiful coffee shop during the day. Fantastic service. Inventive & super yummy cocktails made by extremely knowledgeable mixologists. Amazing atmosphere. A must go! Booking advised but we just walked in!

Lovely venue, arrived for drinks, given a table and we settled in for the evening only be told on delivery of the second drink, that we only had the table for another half hour due to a booking. Wish they had told us from the start as we were not keen to walk around town.

A perfectly stunning independent coffee shop. Beautiful homemade cakes made using their secret family recipes. The happy marriage cake was to die for as was the apple and cinnamon. Amazing coffee and great selection of drinks. What makes this place extra special is the decor, the ambience and the attentive staff. Will definitely be returning when I'm next in Winchester!

Excellent and cozy atmosphere, very friendly staff, tasty coffee and cakes, convenient location, visited twice on the same day as we really liked the coffee. Next time we would like to visit the secret underground film society!

A warm, welcoming atmosphere engulfs you as soon as you walk into this spectacular venue. The service is out of this world, with coffee that will blow your mind and take your taste buds on an adventure like never before. Has a underground cinema that is both a niche and a unique idea, shall definitely be returning to experience it. Suitable for group or single travellers, both are made to feel welcome.

We came in on a cold afternoon. We were going to have just a coffee and decided to eat as we were hungry. We left still hungry. This place is good for a small bite but I wouldn't suggest eating. The menu is very small and limited. We ordered 3 toasts, I would suggest adding a little lettuce or chips for the price and we took 2 soups. Those were fine even though small portions for 9.50. The location is great. Staff very friend and loved the atmosphere.

Proper tea, gorgeous orange lemon and sultana cake, served by lovely staff. We were made to feel very welcome.

Stopped off for tea, hot choc and cake after a walk around the city. It’s got a nice laid back vibe with some window seats if you want to watch the world go by. We chose the biscoff brownie and the vegan Bakewell tart and both were delicious. Three cups from my teapot and a lovely oat milk hot choc too. Bliss.

Delightful staff and good coffee. The gluten free fruity oat slice was delicious. It set me up well for my day. When I am next in Winchester, I will visit again.

Stopped for brunch on a shipping to to Winchester. Cabinet Rooms are a really good place to sit, relax and enjoy excellent good. We had the eggy crumpets - fabulous!

Amazing coffee and cakes and a really lovely staff.... if I lived in Winchester I'd never leave this place ! As it is, already planning to drop in when I'm next back in town. Go ! You won't regret it.

We visited The Cabinet Rooms after a total stranger saw us considering another venue for coffee and stopped us to enthuse about the wonderful experience she'd just had here. She wasn't wrong - on entering, we were greeted by 2 very friendly members of staff and a beautifully decorated and atmospheric building. We had a Chemex filter coffee and a Dirty Chai Latte, both of which were incredibly refined, quality brews that surpassed any coffee we've had previously. There was also a wide variety of delicious looking cakes with some inventive flavour combinations. If only we'd not just eaten! We'll definitely be returning, and highly recommend this place to everyone.

How have I not been here before?! Perfect coffee and cake. Beautifully decorated, very clean and staff were so friendly, polite and professional. The staff achieved the perfect balance of being attentive and actually waiting on you but not being ‘in your face’! We sat by the window in the sun which is a great spot to watch the world go by from. They also had a few little chairs outside by the side of the building. Near the traffic bht nice in tbe sun and still set back from the road and people walking past. Gluten free bakewell tart was the best I’ve tasted which means my husband who js coeliac will be able to enjoy a nice cake here. Apple juice in nice big glass. £17 for two coffees, two cake, apple juice and water which is fairly standard for Winchester and I did feel we got value for money. In town but not right in the middle so can park for cheap in tower street or St Peter’s or five mins walk from train station. Will definitely be returning soon and trying out more of the delicious looking cakes! Also imagine that this might be a nice place to do some emails with a coffee. One observation worth considering is this place is quite small and tables fairly close together which is not a problem at all but may be a bit hectic if you have toddlers or young kids.

We had the London Fog and Red Velvet Hot chocolate. Both so tasty. Will come back again soon.

The best place to visit in Winchester! Go for the home owned espresso martini. Plus the cakes are made by the owner’s mum! Yum!!

Stunning vibes, friendly staff, and reasonably priced, beautiful food! Arrived here by fluke as I missed my train and this was the closest open place! How lucky to have stumbled upon this place. I had a vegan saag aloo sandwich and didn't really know what to expect from an unusual filling choice. Hands down one of the most beautiful sandwiches I've eaten out! Lovely atmosphere and the staff were welcoming and friendly! Will definitely come back here next time I'm in Winchester!

A divine, flawless experience! From the welcome, atmosphere, to the delicious freshly prepared food and unique drinks, The Cabinet Rooms was superb. My mother and I enjoyed a beautifully flavoursome lunch - Eggy crumpets with streaky bacon and a vegan, spicy bean flatbread, homemade vegan Bakewell tart and oat milk Red Velvet hot chocolates. From the moment we were welcomed in, we were impressed by the first-class, attentive service. The decor is quirky, tasteful and unique, with a great playlist, comfy chairs, (ideally positioned to maximize privacy of conversations) and an impressive display of beautiful homemade cakes (hygienically housed under glass cloches). As if this experience weren't wonderful enough, we were also able to book tickets to watch a classic movie in a couple of weeks. Staff were passionate about their product, and rightly so! Knowledgeable, polite and professional. This place is my new favourite place EVER! I am counting the days until we return for movies, cocktails and another sneaky slice of the owners' mum's homemade cakes!

Lovely bar with delicious drinks. Cool concept with the secret cinema club too. Easy to get to from the station. Nice and friendly service too. The olives were also absolutely fantastic 😍

Had a bowl of granola with yogurt & fruit. Well presented and tasty. A drizzle of maple syrup would make it perfect😉 Well worth a try just 2/3 mins walk from centre of city.

Brilliant coffee, very friendly staff.

This is a lovely independent wine bar / coffee house/ tea room. Just a hop away from the high street and the station. . Far nicer than a chai and well worth a visit. They even have cinema screenings and book clubs if you are local.

Popped in last Friday 30th for a coffee and snack before our hunt around Winchester….. how have we not been before. Welcoming smiles and very pleasant service along with nice tea and coffee and cakes.

Stopped in here for a coffee and a bite to eat, first time since the new expansion opened, and it was lovely. The a/c was a welcome relief from the midday sun. I had a bacon sandwich and an iced oat latte; my partner also had a bacon sandwich, though with a V60 coffee. We were served promptly and politely, food and drink were delivered quickly with no fuss, and all of it was delicious. I'd have happily spent the rest of the day there, people watching and trying everything on the menu. I couldn't recommend more highly

“Girlie” 50th weekend in Winchester. Came across this little gem en route to hotel from the railways station. Great coffee and drinks, fabulous different cakes, lovely food. Great relaxed vibe. vibe - staff friendly and welcoming. Small but perfect. Visited three times over two days! Charming example of an independent cafe.

We tried this place last year for coffe and cake. Lovely decor and delicious cake. This visit we find it has expanded into next door too and it's even better. Delicious cocktails. Friendly service. And the nicest toilets we've seen in years.

Absolutely love it here. Came in on my own on a Friday evening and staff so friendly and welcoming. It's super inclusive and so relaxing. They do the most incredible "London Fog". One of those drinks you try and literally cannot stop thinking about. It was just as amazing the 2nd time as 1st! I'm super excited to try brunch. Next on my list.

We were so pleased that we came across this lovely cafe-bar and were lucky enough to get a table as it is quite small and very popular. The decor is stylish and comfortable, the staff friendly and we really enjoyed excellent coffees and homemade cakes.

Amazed with this lovely venue. We only ordered a round of drinks and nibbles but could have easily stayed for more. The waiter showed us the venue rooms downstairs which got us planning a second visit. Cocktail menu was great and enjoyed a festive negroni. Will definitely return.

We hired out their cinema room and map room downstairs for a film screening and had a fabulous time.The cinema room is beautifully decorated, super cosy and comfortable and with a lovely intimate ambience. We had the best day, and the staff were attentive to all of our needs even though the cafe was super busy upstairs. Food and drinks were great.I can't recommend Cabinet Rooms enough and would love to hire out the space again for future events (parties or film screenings.)

Loved this place! From great homemade food and imaginative coffees to vintage crockery and cosy seating, Cabinet Rooms is a delightful quirky little find. The owners couldn’t have been more welcoming and even gave us a sneak peek of their event rooms in the basement. Didn’t have time to try one of their unique cocktails but the perfect excuse to go again one day!
