The best restaurants in England

To the owner of the fairways, you do not deserve your staff. The fairways is MASSIVELY understaffed, the staff are rushing round like something demented, one person trying to do the work of 3. Sunday lunchtime - one bar staff serving drinks and doing orders for lunch. One young girl in the restaurant serving meals , clearing tables and wiping tables and setting them PLUS taking bookings. The chef, cooking meals, filling up the veg containers, serving lunch and carving meat. We have been going for Sunday lunch every week for over 2 years and as staff have left they have not been replaced. Something needs to be done before they start losing custom.

Went for lunch at this McDonalds today , Best McDonalds we have been to , clean and tidy , very friendly helpful staff , food was as it should . Very Nice

Un café tan decente como Costa. Personal muy perezoso, sentado en una mesa con la basura de otra persona durante 2 horas. Durante mi estancia de dos horas, no vi a nadie mesas claras o limpias... vamos. Ten un poco de orgullo.

This fish and chip cafe has lovely views over the beach. It has a decent amount of internal and external seating and a good menu. The service was great. The chips were lovely and my Whitby Scampi was delicious. It was also really good value.

Amazing atmosphere, full of happy diners! Our group had burgers, salads, pizza -- nothing but positive feedback all round!

I ordered my usual dishes and they arrived almost cold and wrong. 1 hot platter which was dry cold and looked like it was in the box for sometime, not fresh . I also ordered udon noodle were with sauce I received choewmein, when I complained, they told , disgusting.me I ordered this dish. Excuse me you made a big mistake to a customer.

Visited regularly for a fortnight. Much depended on the Barista on duty. On occasions the coffee was excellent but on occasions it was average and on one occasion unacceptable. Toilets were often of dubious cleanliness.Too often seats were taken by older clientele who seemed determined to make a cup last for ages so they could chat to their regular friends for an unreasonable duration.

Great food, really fast delivery. excellent choice and the only choice for amazing Chinese food.

Absolutely horrible! I went to this McDonalds because it was local, I thought it would be nice. I got in and ordered something, all the staff looked depressed and not wanting to be there at all! After about 20 minutes I got my burger but the McFlurry I ordered was on the receipt but was not with my food. I went down to the counter and asked where it was and they groaned at me and said the machine was broken. What a surprise that the machine is McBroken again. Anyways I don’t get money back for that. I started to eat my burger and realised there was pickles in it even though I customised it to have NO PICKLES.. There was hair inside the burger and the drink was half empty. By any means do not go here!

Thought after 18 months, when back in the area I would give it a go! Well I should not have. Mixed Doner had very little chicken, was basically ‘lamb’ Doner with a few lumps of chicken! The lamb doner was questionable that it was lamb. Staff were grumpy, Unsure how the place survives?

Great at Betsy’s Served by sagar .. he looked after us and remembered our order from last Time! Great food and overall experience!!

I've been here in the past and it was OK so popped back for a quick tea. Was immediately struck by the fact there was only one customer but 6 staff members I was ignored for over 5 minutes. Just as I was about to leave a very abrupt blonde girl chewing gum asked what I wanted. I told her. Was then charged a different amount to on their price board. When I pointed it out she said yes. Prices have changed. No apology. Nothing. She then went and snickered with a lady wearing a head set, kept giving me the side eye and talking under her breath in full view. I eventually got my meal. Barely wrapped and no offer of a bag, I had to hold it together on the trip to the car. All would be barely permissable...i managed a business for 15 years so get that customer service can be sould destroying, but hope opening it after the 3 minute drive to park up to eat, the fact it wasn't wrapped properly meant it was cold. The chips were soggy, and quite frankly the smallest "large" portion ive ever seen. Add to that the fact noone was wearing any aprons, gloves or hair nets and staff were COVERED in ingredients, that's a 100% guarentee i wont return. If this was my first experience I'd have turned around as soon as I saw how dirty the staff and cooking area looked. But as a/ I'd had a positive experience before - albeit 12 months ago and b/ it's a Sunday night and I'm half way through a 5hr drive and nowhere else is open locally (I hate chinese) it was that or nothing. So in short. Between the sh**ty attitude of the staff, general filth, small portions and lack of preparation and care of the food - I'd advise all to avoid!
