Costa Express in Southampton

As decent a coffee as Costa gets. Seriously lazy staff, sat at a table with someone else’s rubbish for 2 hours. During my two hour stay, I didn’t see anyone clear or clean tables at all… come on. Have a little pride.

27/7/24 @ 1,30pm Young lady who was serving was seriously rude, she really needs to consider other employment options.

amazing customer service, was served by a lovely short young girl she was very friendly and helped with with all my questions.

Two staff working. The young man was pleasant, friendly and helpful. His female colleague was just plain rude verging on obnoxious ....... how do people get a customer facing job with such an attitude.

service is literally so bad i asked for a chocolate fudge brownie frappe and she was like um what.. and glared at me like just give me my drink so I had to order something else. don't recommend I don't know who this girl thinks she is but she isn't allat. also messy floors and tables.

Dropped relations off for 9.15 flight, check in at 7am. Web site says Costa open at 4.30am, but was still closed off at 7am. Asked a lady who was putting cakes out on counter what time they open and she said "7.40 ish"

Unfortunately I was waiting with a friend before my flight and it was again not open at the advertised time of 0630, instead 0730.

Bought a cappuccino from Costa at Southampton airport, think they'd forgot to put the coffee in and it was like drinking warm milk, disgusting. Unfortunately my flight was called, didn't have time to take it back so it was put in the bin

No dairy alternative, no ice, no cold beverages due to broken fridge. Broken oven also, waited approx 30 minutes for a toastie. ALL customer’s kicked out of cafe at half 2 due to it being take away only. Do not go here. Can’t forget rude members of staff and could not understand a word one young man said. extremely below any average

I have been at the Southampton AirPort last Wednesday and had a chance to get the coffee from the little Costa at the departures located on the ground floor. Im still amazed how great was the customer service. I have been served by this lovely and professional lady called Anna. I was very happy with the food and my coffee but I really need to say service 11 /10, so lovely and chatty you could see that this person loves her job! Great place to have your beautiful cappuccino

After yesterday's, "Storm of the Century" as the Times headline described it, today I have made it Airside. Another Cortado, this time with 'winter roast'. Not sure I could tell the difference, but tasty. Complimented by a surprisingly fresh Croissant. Good. Too crowded and like most coffee emporia, slow to clear the tables. Still helps to make Southampton my favourite airport. Just add Vienna as A destination, please. Hayling Seagoon

Said The Times. So got no further than Costa before going home. Still excellent Cortado with Lemon Tart. Good service. They did clear my tray when I went to Check In to change flight to the next day. On return my glass of water was prepared and waiting for me on the Bar. Now that's what I call Service. Tomorrow Airside, fingers crossed. Hayling Seagoon

Served by possibly the grumpiest man ever, think his name was Elvio? Didn’t add cream to one of our drinks and had the most appalling customer service I’ve seen. With Costa being the only place to buy coffee really, it’s a shame that you can’t get any form of kindness.

A bit pricey but all airport concessions are. Good quality though. The coffee is excellent and my sandwich, tuna and mayo was fresh and tasty.

I'm afraid that once you have been in one Costa you have seen them all. The upside of this one is the view of the runway if you are into planes. Otherwise its typical Costa, even more overpriced food being an airport, grumpy staff and a gamble on whether you get a well made and tasty cup of coffee

Food and drink pretty much as you'd expect but it would be so nice to see a smiley face or receive a thank you instead of the miserable and surly service that you so often receive at these types of outlets. Costa coffee Southampton airport is sadly no exception

Yet neither bog standard, soulless Costa Coffee but in the absence of any real competition this was our best option. The service was the usual snail’s pace despite three staff and they still managed to get my order wrong, Shock, horror. The place needs a decent clean and there were loads of tables with dirty crockery on them. Costa’s whole model seems to be based on understaffing their outlets which is especially annoying in a busy airport. My medium café latte (£2.90) was the usual tasteless liquid with too much milk with the impact of a wet flannel. My partner had a pot of tea (£2.35) which even Costa can’t mess up. I had an egg mayo sandwich (£2.20) which was ok but I really, really, really resent paying £3.50 for two butter croissants which is a total rip. A typical mediocre and soulless hour spent waiting for a plane.

Just like many reviews I’ve just read, staff were unpleasant, grumpy, snappy and everything was an effort. Not a smile or hello off any of them just a blank stare. Asked one lady if she wouldn’t mind filling my little boys juice bottle with water, is bit my head off and then filled it with warm water. No way to treat anyone, clearly the culture of the place and someone needs to address this.

Wonderful service and friendly staff. Quick and efficient and had a wonderful hot chocolate with marshmallows. Plenty seats and nobody rushes you to move along so get to chill a bit eating. Highly recommend.

Have visited this outlet several times when using the Airport, Service is a bit slow and on occasions staff have not known how to make drinks we have asked for.

Staff were incredibly friendly when I visited here. I was with my baby at the time and the staff kindly carried my drink and food over and even went out of there way to give me some hot water to warm the baby's bottle up....

This is the Costa Coffee in the departure lounge of Southampton Airport (Airside). The service was quick and efficient, and plenty of tables to sit at. Lots of the tables have great views of the planes arriving and departing.
