This fish and chip shop are amazing! Someone ordered food to the wrong address and cancelled it while it was being delivered, I happened to be that wrong address. Big mix up because the food was already cooked and on route to the wrong address while it was cancelled but I was given the food. Quality of the food was absolutely amazing too… next time I want fish and chips Im definitely using this fish and chip shop… really polite too when I called to thank them

GONE DOWNHILL!! Used to be really nice fresh food, now it’s dried up. Mini fish was dried out and the batter tasted stale. We’ve tried to order off the app but ended up going to collect after over an hour wait for delivery and they didn’t even give us anything as compensation, they just gave us our delivery cost back. We have had items missing from orders even after we’ve been into the shop, the girls don’t know what customer service is.

This chippie used to be really good but has gone downhill. We had two kebab with chips and salad. They both went in the bin. Cost us 14 quid. The kebab meat was terrible. It was very dry cold and bitty and chewy. The chips were rank and the salad warm. Waited ages in the queue. Will not use again.

My husband ordered food to be delivered to our home for 7.05pm tonight, 13/01/2024. It was delivered at around 3.10pm just after we’d finished a late lunch! Most definitely didn’t want our dinner at that time! One of the large pieces of cod was just batter! Extremely disappointed! Will not be using this business again!

Took my money for delivery and then cancelled my order after 25 minutes Not on-waiting for refund which they say will take seven days-waiting for 25 minutes is not in and they are being selective

Delivery over half an hour late. On arrival food was greasy and some was cold. While chasing delivery was given the option to request money back, which I took, only to be told the restaurant had refused my request, they just hoped I enjoyed my food! Hopefully this is a one off.

Phenomenal chippy, best for miles around. The food is honestly delicious and reasonably priced too! The young lad that served me was so polite and attentive 10/10 would recommend

Very hit and miss fish and chip shop. I've used this place for many years. I ordered a delivery of a mini fish. I was stunned to see how small the fish was. It was the width of my dinner knife. Just! £6.30 for this?? I called to complain. When they eventually picked the phone up all I was greeted by is the manager with a bad attitude. I will not be using them again for my fish dinner!

Chips are ok! Fish been sitting there for a while Batter was soggy not crispy! £1 for a scollop! Bit of a hit and miss chippy! Slow service!

Ordered food one and a half hours ago, still hasn’t arrived. The phone number just rings out. Now estimated delivery is 2 hours after we ordered :( don’t offer delivery service if it takes 2 hours to deliver fish and chips.

Ordered Friday night a meal just after 8pm received an email at 825pm saying order was processed and paid for and would be delivered within an hour I tried calling both numbers after one hour for an update one just didn’t ring out and the other one let it ring for 5 minutes and no one picked up . After 95 minutes decided to drive down to see where order was and I passed their delivery driver at 940pm on way to my house nearly 100 minutes after placing my order. I have it given one star as food was actually good but service terrible will never order again on principle

Ordered at teatime and arrived quickly but the kebab meat was undercooked. The chicken was predominantly fat and half was dry and the other half undercooked. Fish batter was like cardboard and this is the second time we’ve ordered within about a month and had the same problem with the fish. How can a British staple be done so wrong? Batter should be crispy this was like cutting through rubber. And so greasy maybe the fat is the wrong type or not hot enough? Shame under previous management it was great and it’s in a great location. Portion size is excellent and good pricing, when I have been into the shop the staff have been lovely (tonight’s was a delivery). Perhaps it needs smaller portions or a slight price increase to produce the quality. Sadly we won’t be back because it’s just wasted food. I just hope, that because we didn’t notice the undercooked chicken meat immediately, that we don’t get any repercussions

I ordered food to feed my family after 1 hrs 10 mins their website say our food delivered tried calling no answer had to drive there speak with manager to be told after a certain time it will show as delivered even if its running late. I am then asked to wait in rain for 10 mins to see if its delivered then they will replace my order I certainly will NEVER order from here again

Best Chippie in the area by far, the chips taste much better from this chip shop than others in the area, must be the potatoes and how they are cooked, always lovely, love the chips and cheese from here too as well as the kebabs that are always very tasty, the fish is always nice and the batter is beautiful love this chip shop it is always busy and they have deliveries constantly going out so must be a very popular Chippie and doing something right

I live in Bromsgrove and drove out here to find some decent fish and chips, as the chip shops nearer me are so inconsistent, and I've tried them all. I must say that the meal did not disappoint, the cod was a good size and the chips just as I like them. Like most of the chip shops in Bromsgrove the delivery trade is king and I was the only walk in customer in the shop. However I did get served quickly, and on my experience would probably make the journey again in the future, if only to test the consistency of the food, especially having now read some of the reviews. I did find parking a problem, maybe I should do as the delivery drivers did and park as near to the shop as possible no matter what.

Not consistent..Chips where not fresh..looked like warm ups..Fish was really Chewy...Wouldn't recommend.

First time that I have visited this fish bar for quite a while and I was pleasantly surprised;I had a portion of cod and it was presented in a box complete with a wedge of lemon and two sachets of tartare sauce-brilliant!The batter on the fish was light and tasty and covered the fish just nicely,the fish was excellent. Not the biggest portions, but much better quality than most local shops.My wife had fish and chips, and the chips were great too, not forgetting the helpful staffNow converted-keep it up!Steve

Food actually is good. Couple times now I have specifially said LITTLE chilli and mayo, and whole meal literally comes plastered in it, unedible again! So dissapointed

I'm disappointed i didn't take a photo of our dinner last night . After finishing work we was so looking forward to large cod & chips .I was firstly surprised when picking up the food which I had ordered earlier to see a young lady in the shop wearing no mask & the space is very small and in current times I thought you had to wear a mask unless good reason .I waited outside in the rain # didn't mind .But I was fed up to see the most awful small piece of cod in an enormous box it was very bad .I wi say the chips was very nice but cold. I will mention is we have had kebabs from there which have been good . I sadly won't be using them again for the fish .

First experience was very good we had fish and chips. However second experience not so good. We ordered two kebabs. They came with no salad. We never realised you have to pay extra for salad as when you go to a chippie its included. We also wanted sauce but they only offer bottles of sauce for 2.99! Why can't they put some sauce in little pots like other places do? It seems to me they are trying to rip people off! They put peas and curry in pots?

Excellent fish with the crispiest batter. Chips, as with most chippies, way too many for us, but for others this might be a plus.Best of all it was delivered free within 20 minutes of ordering.Beats our local chippy, who only takes cash, not a clever move, especially in these times.

During such difficult times and when we are struggling to shop last night I became very emotional to see this wonderful family run traditional chip shop back open I'm a critical care key worker and I work nights last night # Tuesday is my night of & when I saw they was open I became pleased it's just a glimmer of normality in my life .We ordered kebabs & chips on line & payed .it came delivered within 15 mins from iPad to us and the chips & kebab was hot and lovely .Thankyou to all the staff there we appreciate you opening up it brought tears to my eyes

Use this chippy all the time. Friendly staff, nice and clean, and the food is fresh and hot and generous portions. The staff never forget to pop in a lollypop for Lilly either. Open on Sundays too. What more could you ask for? Highly recommend !

The staff are friendly and welcoming, very quick with the service, soft fluffy fresh chips and cod was absolutely delicious, freshly cooked it was by far the biggest fish I’ve had from a chippy! 100% recommend. Came here with my boyfriend after a nice walk around the lickey hills! The food here is amazing, and the tartar sauce and slice of lemon is a great touch with the fish and chips! Would recommend to all friends and family, the staff are brilliant.

Came here with a few mates in the summer holidays and the food we had was amazing. All tasted fresh and we all enjoyed it. Would definitely come again especially after the staff were so friendly!

customer became aggressive and the bosses offered him outside to fight. this is inappropriate. they treated their staff like poop and they are a disgrace to a business. their food is raw or old. they have broke the health and safety at work act. the shop is dirty.

We decided to try food from here as we heard it had just opened under new ownership. Food wasn’t very good at all... chips hard and over cooked, the amount of batter on the fish was unbelievable. Wouldn’t eat from here again.

This has become my new local chip shop. Beautiful fresh food, kebabs are cut there and then and massive portions. The staff are friendly and they've just been awarded a 5* food hygiene certificate. Definitely worth a visit!

My local chip shop has just been taken over. On the whole it is okay but the chips are a tad too greasy. Service is good but I don't think it is as good as it was under the previous owners. Good portion sizes.

We went back to the old “Bens” last week. It had been closed for a while and then changed hands. Great surprise as it was better than before. Great fish and chips - you need to try it!!

When ever i visit my parents i call here and get some fish and chips. Fish cooked to perfection and an enormous portion of chips. The best I have had in a while ANYWHERE! And the staff are so friendly and know how it should be done. Well done guys and thank you

Used to be our favourite Pizza. Vesuvio deep pan pizza used to be full of taste, spice and ingredients but now it appears they have almost forgotten the recipe the topping is mostly cheese and they put little or no tomato puree on top of the base even after asking them to rectify this on my last THREE visits they still managed to all but miss out the tomato puree for a ton of cheese notably on the last visit.

Pizzas bens son sabrosos n tienen un montón de ingredientes, a diferencia de algunas empresas nacionales. El kebab es la carne a la par con cualquier otro lugar que ir n sentimientos matrimonio es muy abundante. Pescado y patatas fritas bien, en ocasiones un poco pasada si visita en el momento equivocado, no estoy seguro de por qué. . . Servicio de entrega es bueno y bastante rápido. En general, me gusta su comida y puede criticar cada vender si intenta lo suficientemente difícil.

Aparecimos alrededor de 5. 30:00 los lunes para pescado y patatas fritas. Las dos chicas jóvenes que sirve dijeron que estaban esperando para las patatas fritas, así que tuve que colgar alrededor para las edades. Cuando llegamos a casa, era obvio que el 'Nuevo' patatas hubiéramos esperado para no eran frescos, estaban viejas, duro, patatas recalentado. El bateador en parte inferior del pescado era como de cartón - puede haber un cuchillo a través de ella- y pasta en el piso no era mucho mejor. En cuanto al 'cod' estaba preocupado, era duro, gris y totalmente comestible. Todo lo que fuimos en la papelera! Sin duda no volveré allí de nuevo!

Este lugar tiene un conveniente aparcamiento exterior. Es un típico pescado y patatas fritas para llevar outlet. Todo lo que pedimos estaba disponible. No estaba demasiado ocupado, por lo tanto me sirve de inmediato. Por desgracia, las fichas no eran las más sabrosas que he probado. Parecían haber sido hechas de un lote pobre de patatas.

La comida es siempre agradable, pero varias veces he simplemente no dieron lo que pedí.

Used this a number of times since being open, its sooo slow, bad attitude from the dude serving and the food aint good either, stark contrast to when it first opend, looking grim to say its only 6 mth or so old, will not be going again.

Went for the usual fish and chips, found the staff different to the couple that owned it and most certainly a different customer service. Food also seemed of a lesser quality. Maybe it was a bad night, but first impressions and all that!!!!

I've tried this chippy several times in the hope that it will improve. Unfortunately the quality is very poor and the chips I ordered at 6pm, we're seemingly left over reheated chips from lunch time. Very disappointed in the quality and hope they will try and Improve the quality of their food.

I took the grandchildren here to grab their tea on the way home, it ended up in the bin.They love a chip supper as we don't buy them often but the chips weren't brilliant and the batter on the fish was very greasy.Not sure if it was an off day but not been back to find out.Money is hard earned and soon spent so wouldn't want to waste it.

Great food. Great hospitality. The new shop on the other side of the park is stunning! Lovely and big, very accommodating for the amount of customers they have coming through the door. Love the fact that we can now order pizza in the same shop. Always hated having to walk between two shops.My only niggle is having to wait for food sometimes. But I guess that's what we get going in on a busy night!

Dirty staff & poor food. Never seen such a two tone apron... White from the back, just plain dirty all over front... Not been washed in months!Grubby all around with mushed up chips and semi warm food.... Really, don't bother. Barnt Green or Rubery much better.

Highly recommend this chip shop. We've been going for years. The kebabs are the best around and the fish is always fresh. Great value and great service. My friends RAVE about the scallops too! So not sure if the other review caught them on a bad day (or a possible competitor?!)

The chips were simply awful. Their 'highly recommend' burger was so processed and I had tried the fish my friend ordered, they aren't fresh.

First impressions were good , staff were friendly and helpful. However when the group of us got round to eating our Fish and chips it was thoroughly disappointing! The fish batter was soggy and fell easily off the fish, the grey looking cod had no flavour! The chips, the paper it came in had more taste! A group of six of us all had the same opinion !

After a day walking up and down the Licky Hills and working up an appetite this place is a must, lovely fish chips and curry sauce, what more could you ask for.

Great fish n chips with excellent service! The curry sauce was the best I've ever had. Loved the choice of menu, items you wouldn't normally see in a fish n chip shop like the home made chilli con carnie!

After missing the meal time at the pub we called into Ben's while also ordering pizza next door,also Ben's, Our food was cooked fresh and worth waiting for after our busy day, it tasted wonderful. ooh fresh chips with plenty of salt and vinegar - well you can 't go wrong can you!The gentleman who served us was very pleasant and chatted away to us while we waited for our food. Would recommend both Ben's shops, worth a visit, go on call in and enjoy!!

We were staying in a hotel nearby but arrived late after a looooong day at the NEC! We missed food at the pubs and the Chinese restaurant was a little awkward over me being veggie.So we decided on smuggling in a takeaway ;)The guy was very friendly and helpful (as was the guy next door in the amazing pizza place!) and the food was really nice.Excellent service, lovely food, very reasonable prices, and just a lovely experience after a long day battling queue's and being turned away from other food places.I would visit again when we're back in the area.

We hired Ben to do a hog roast for our Christmas party. We are a charity with around 50 staff and would definitely hire him again. He was friendly, efficient, cost-effective and delivered a superb hog roast, together with all the trimmings. For a corporate do, or wedding or party ... and if you want a hog roast ... I'd definitely recommend Ben!

It's not often these days to find a chip shop that's ticks all the boxes but a visit here was well worth it. Amazing cod, perfect chips and enormous portions, you can't eat would highly recommend you share

When I went in with my dad they were so friendly and they gave us a very satisfying meal when we were starving and in particular the chips were perfect, good job!

The comment I got from the waiter was "if your laughfing at me then just say it. What are you laughfing at!" it's a social meal so if I or my friend is laughfing it isn't at you. He spoke to me an 2 of my that are girls in an aggressive way. It is absolutely shocking that he spoke to me and a table of friends in such a rude mannor. We spoke to the manager and she gave the attitude that she couldn't really care. I could of gone to a football match and got better customer service. Never going there again!!!!
