Food is currently over an hour late. Got a call after being 20 mins late that it would be 20-30 mins later than that. Now an hour and ten mins later than the time booked for. We are now going out and missing dinner altogether. Tried calling takeaway, no answer! £59 order wasted. Refund please!

Delicious food, especially the chow mein

Special chow mein wasn’t special at all, very little in it apart from noodles and quite dry, salt & pepper chips were just mainly bits & very salty

Wanted to leave a review as I’d seen many negative ones on here. My order actually came about 5 minutes early but I did order on a Thursday night. Portion sizes are good, especially for prawn crackers and curry sauce (massive). Salt & pepper chips were indeed soggy but tasted great so that made up for it a bit. Egg fried rice was okay, could maybe do with more egg. Would recommend the mini veggie spring rolls they were fab. Not best Chinese I’ve had but I wasn’t majorly disappointed either :)

We ordered for 20:30 arrived at 19:45, not great when you have children and that’s in the middle of bedtime

We only ordered takeout as we were out of the house and hungry and didn’t want to wait to cook on our return. The food came half an hour late so we could have cooked anyway.

Ribs were burnt and poor quality, rice stodgy! Chicken minimal!

Food was really good and was still hot and perfectly fine, though it arrived 10mins late.

Ribs almost without a meat. Prawn sesame toasts almost burned and strong taste of fat. Only vegetable rolls were OK. I spent over £30 and I will not order again. Sorry.

Great Chinese food! Really tasty and hot on arrival, could do with some more veg in the chow mein but other than that super tasty and great to have somewhere that delivers!

Food was extremely salty and poor ingredients were used. the ribs had hardly any meat on them. definitely not worth the money that I paid.

the food arrived cold and 20 minutes later than the last expected time. the app stated it had been delivered 30 mins earlier so can only assume this had been driven round chorley before arriving with us. the order looked a total of 2 hours from ordering. since the food is usually great we didn't think those.was a problem. sadly it's not good food when it's cold and no apology for the delay or a refund

Absolutely awful service. Ordered over 2 hours ago and still no food. Restaurant couldn't care less about it just say it's out for delivery. Would never never order from this terrible place again.

I understand it's NYE but being contacted at 7.50pm to say they hadn't got what I ordered and the food was being cooked then still at 9.05pm the food has not arrived just received a text to say should be with you around 9.30. three hours after ordering

Food never arrived - tried to contact the restaurant but was unable as their phone went straight to answerphone, it would seem that China Star Closed at some point after accepting our order, though not so closed that they couldn’t take the time to mark the order as having been delivered when it wasn’t!!! Shocking service!!! I understand unfortunate events may have transpired that meant it had to close but at least let your customers know so that they may make other arrangements!!!

Called up at 8pm to get an order for delivery. They said it would be 1/1.15hr. We called numerous times with no response. We waited until 10pm and drove out to the restaurant which was closed with lights off even though on the door and online it says open until 11pm. Absolute joke.

Order was never delivered after 90 mins without any delivery finally got through to restaurant who told me that they had no electricity and would have to cancel my order and my money would be refunded in a couple of days - how does Just Eat take orders when the restaurant isn’t even operating - a failure by all concerned !!

Food was absolutely delicious, all hot and correct. Order took a while but within the timeframe advised at point of order. Will definitely order again from here.

HOW have you only got 2.9 stars. Great delivery timings keep you updated all the way when ordering online through Chorley eats. Food is crackin. Box meal - why has this never been heard of before ? Brilliant idea. Glad the rating didn't put me off, I will definitely be ordering again.

Awful won’t be ordering for here again chips both salt & pepper & normal we’re cold & soggy, the chicken in the noodles was awful, the spring rolls tasted like they had been sat out for days couldn’t even chew them, awful quality when we spent over £90 on food!

Ordered for 8pm turned up gone 9, All food was cold had to microwave the spring rolls and pancakes for the duck. The actual duck was tasty but again cold.

Ordered food for 7pm. Food arrived at 6.30pm (before everyone that was eating had arrived). Called at 6.50pm and I was reliably informed that it was actually 7pm and the food had been delivered at the correct time. China Star refused to accept they were to blame, so we had freshly microwaved Chinese food. A snip at the altogether reasonable price of £90. The baby was OK though, she had pureed pear. We cooked it ourselves, so that was the correct temperature thankfully

Glad I wasn't misled by the bad reviews. The third time within a month ordered from China Star. Great food, fast service, decent price. Highly recommended to anyone who wants authentic Chinese food.

First time ordering from here as our usual has gone downhill. Delivery arrived 30mins early than requested which was an inconvenience as not all of the family where there, however food quality was really good and there was lots of it. Will definitely be placing another order from here again! Fingers crossed it's consistent!

Great food and friendly delivery

Beautiful chicken sweetcorn soup, delivered piping hot, and delicious. The pulled pork with pancakes made a nice change from the usual duck, and was absolutely fantastic. Decent size portions too.

Delivery driver was lovely! Food is nice. I was a little shocked that half of the chicken and mushroom dish was rice and it did not specify and I expected more of the dish as I had already ordered rice separately. Otherwise, very good.

I like the smaller portion for a lower price. No complaints. One small suggestion, maybe a tad more of the main order, with less rice when combined in a single tray. I would pay higher for that. Thank you

Worst customer service experience ever! After having the totally wrong dish delivered, I called to complain and the woman on the end of the phone SHOUTED down the line that I had received what I ordered!! Will never use this place again and will advise everyone else to avoid.

absolutely disgusting customer service. ordered a vermicelli and they have sent a sweet and sour dish. when i called to say there was no vermicelli she shouted at me and said she sent what i ordered and that she wasn’t going to fix it. used to order from here regularly but will never go back.

Food was quite dry and very bland which is unusual for china star! Order at 6:40 - food arrived at 8:30pm ….. very very late

Stale prawn crackers and burnt sausages. Not good considering the cost.

normally quite happy with China Star but this time the food was massively over salty, rice soggy and the chips were terrible

absolutely incredible. curry sauce had a spice to it which i enjoyed and although the salt and pepper chips don't have much visible spices on them, they are incredible!!
