Lovely decor, waiters pleasant enough. We went on a very cold night and it was very cold in there, no heating on. All of our food was only lukewarm, we didn’t complain as we were ok with it like that but some people, like my partner prefer their food piping hot. All 10 of said we probably won’t return, the food wasn’t worth the expensive prices. I paid £18 for an asado burger that was no bigger than the palm of my hand. There was about one and a half to two tablespoons of meat on it. Totally not worth it. £6.00 for 5 cheesy onion rings, they were lovely to be honest but expensive. Kids chicken nuggets and chips £10 😳

Second visit here this year, was quite disappointed this time, the food was dry and a bit tasteless. I can’t eat eggs and they refused to substitute them with tomato’s, said I’d need to pay extra. Surely a tomato isn’t more expensive than an egg… Wouldn’t return, a shame as our first visit a few months ago was so much better.

My partner worked with Nisha when she was a barrister. The legal professions loss is our gain. Mowgli is fantastic. It always has been. It's becoming a bigger chain across the UK but the Liverpool venues have always maintained their intimate, local eatery vibe. The food is always unbelievably good. It's not some ghee soaked stodge from some curry place where everything comes out looking and tasting the same regardless of what you order. Each dish is absolutely unique and has so much depth that James Cameron is trying to dive it in his sub. Nothing is going to blow your head off with spice, but it may ruin Indian cuisine for you. Nowhere comes close. Personal favourites are the Angry Bird, Bunny Chow and Temple Dahl. If it was medically possible to replace my blood with Temple Dahl, I would. We've tried the whole menu and found nothing we don't like. The house slaw is like being high-fived by the Incredible Hulk. It's amazing. We've gotten all the ruddy cookbooks, and again, nothing we don't like. Its delicious, its priced nicely, swings make you feel drunk—whats not to love?

The building is wonderful! Great setting with a buzzing atmosphere. The food is fine and pretty ready to share. The Catalan bread was tasty, although nothing like the commensurate dish in Catalonia, and the patatas bravas were indifferent. However the grilled Hispi cabbage was gorgeous. Service was friendly and efficient. Great place to come with a group!

I booked for breakfast at the cafe. Excellent little cafe that opened around 7.30am in the weekday. They have Matcha Lattes and accommodate for milk alternatives. I am not vegan but ordered the vegan breakfast which was excellent. I also ordered a piece of Banana bread to take away for later in the day (which was also very good). Fast service, loved this place, alot of people turned up as soon as they opened so they were popular.

It was my friends birthday and decided we should have tea here. The room was amazing and the live music was superb. The sweet part of the tea was great as was the savoury Welsh rarebit. The sandwiches were OK but not up to the same standard as everything else. The absolute highlight for me was the staff: we were greeted at the door by the amazing James, he is a gracious, kind, accommodating and beautiful human being!! We were also assisted by Eugine and Davide who were super helpful as well as funny and with very good people skills! (Now let’s go back to James)- I told James that I didn’t eat meat so he sorted out a different sandwich for me and also made a recommendation for the tea…he did not let me down, it was the best cup of tea I’ve ever had in my life! I told him it was my friends birthday and they sent over a cute little cup cake as the band played “happy birthday”. A stupendous day was had by all…thank you so much for having us and helping us create memories!
