Have eaten here a lot of times and when I received a text message from them offering me 40% off for a summer offer until September for take away orders if I ordered direct from them, I was really happy. I called up to place my order only to be told that they would not deliver. So then I said I would come to collect my order and they told me that they would not give me the discount if I came to collect it! I cannot believe that they would send out promotional texts that fill up my inbox, and yet refuse to honour them! I never like to leave reviews like this, but I felt this was really poor.

Lovely food, wonderful service and a great meal out.We both enjoyed our visit immensely and we will be back again,a great asset in Northampton.

Return visit after moving away from Northampton a few years ago. Still a fabulous restaurant and well worth a visit. First class food and service.

all the food was lovely, exactly what we ordered. nice and hot on arrival. delivery was on time also, Mrs says its the best korma she's ever had.

My omelette was over cooked was frazzled and swimming in grease my mushrooms was undercooked the chips was all soggy and wet , really didn’t enjoy my food this time. How ever my partners korma was lovely

Great dansak, thick, spicy, sweet and good quality chicken. The platter was lovely, fresh salad, keema naan was good too but a bit stodgy round the edges. Will order again.

Had a really lovely time having pre-theatre dinner at Saffron. The food was excellent and the service top notch. The staff were fun and friendly as well as being efficient and professional. The atmosphere in the restaurant is relaxing and not too noisy, even when its busy. Will definitely go back.

Onion bahji’s were soggy from being in tin container. Both curries were bland. Nice bits of chicken in my curry. Onion salad was literally just onion whereas I’m used to it being mixed with other salad items. Garlic naan was nice. I wouldn’t order from here again personally

Dining at Saffron Restaurant in Northampton was an exceptional experience. The ambiance is warm and inviting, and the food is a delightful reflection of authentic Bangladeshi cuisine. A special mention goes to Rana Rahman, who looked after us wonderfully. His knowledgeable recommendations and attentive service made our visit even more memorable. Overall, Saffron offers delicious food and excellent service. Highly recommended for anyone in Northampton looking for a great meal. We will definitely be back!

My mango curry was awful, the sauce was runny and the chicken was dry and overcooked. Will not be buying again from here.

vegetable biryani was delicious, side curry was a little too spicy for me.

food is great but got one of the naans wrong

tasteless meat and chicken. fee of them burned and the burned ones was the only taste I had a feel off in that meal. Thank you. don't think will repeat that experience again

We love Saffron but it got too pricey for us so we stopped ordering from there, however with 40% off we thought we'd try it again. Food was absolutely amazing, piping hot, arrived after 30 mins, and so much meat in the main dishes. A high quality takeaway, not oily like many other takeaways, and so very tasty. as long as there is 40% off we will definitely be back!

The worst Indian style food I've ever eaten. The quantity of the main dishes was soo little like a starter dish. The meats were not properly cooked. The chicken was not cooked properly from inside. It had more added colour than spices. No wonder the discount was 40% with free delivery. Most of the food went to the bin.

What a good clean plate off food all cooked perfect and very tasty. Also the customer service was very helpful when I forgot an item on my order it was sorted straight away and the delivery was still on time.will definitely use this takeaway again 100%

Turned up and it was cold as the delivery person was walking the street trying to locate the house without thinking to phone and ask or keep in a heated bag

ordered many times from them, the last one was late. this order not only was late but nothing was actually hot. warm at best. it's a shame

Lovely food - just gutted that the poppadoms I bought were missing.

Food was on time and the majority was hot and delicious. Removed one star as the chips tasted stale (as if they were reheated) and cold.

I selected a time as to when my food should arrive because I was going to finish work late. the food turned up almost half an hr early and I knew I could not eat because I hadn't finished work yet. The food was on the side getting cold of course. I asked the delivery guy if he'd happen to notice the time on the app that I specifically selected and he just bluntly told me "we are busy so I had to drop this off before I go to drop the other orders so this is why it's early,okay". wow.

Still the best curry I have had for a very long time. Very tasty as always 👌🏻

Food was lovely , we order the same food every time but this time my biriyani was to spicy , definitely been changed some how .

Spicy korma, madras with chunks of stuff in it that wouldn’t expect….lentil, coconut? Medium balti came very hot. Delivery took 2.5 hours from ordering. Not the usual 5* standard we know and love from here

Tried the chicken Hundy today and the flavours were out of this world! As in my previous reviews I try different dishes each time and this one is definitely one to try I had it medium which was very good next time I may try the hotter upgrade, or maybe the mango based curry as that one sounds very interesting, thanks as always - Jordan

Food was 40 minutes late after the latest time stated. 2 hrs after ordering. When we spoke to the restaurant twice they gave us poor excuses and admitted they couldn’t handle the orders. The food was cold and dry when we got it. It ruined our evening and means we need to stay up later to do our work. We expect a full refund for this. Very disappointed as we have been loyal customers.

food tasted great but small amounts of meat for the price

We was really disappointed with the food today. We have always used Saffron for our Indian takeaway but after today this is the last time we will use them. Food was watery and nothing looked as fresh as normal. Everything looks pale and the taste was so bad we couldn’t eat it. Even the Naan bread was bad and couldn’t be eaten. The chips was stone cold and again inedible.

Always treat myself to a Christmas Eve curry and always been Saffron never let me down even though this time was a late time order was amazing thank you very much

Unfortunately, hoping after picking the chefs specialities, the quality of the food would be quite good. It was not! Lumps of samey chicken in tired sauces, old tasting starter old tasting bhagies indescribable side dips, thick chapattis heat and no taste, will not be ordering from here again!

Bit disappointed with this order, ordered a peshwari naan and got a garlic naan, ordered a lamb sweet chilli volcano and got chicken (not sure was even the volcano as lacked sauce). Don’t understand how these mistakes happen as surely the order is prepared from a list and checked before being delivered

Best curry place I really enjoyed the food

Overall, the experience was lovely and I had a great waiter, Rana rahman, He was friendly and extremely funny and just made tge experience even better.

Wow - just wow, the Britannia Classic Curry was to die for, meat tender just melted in your mouth, not a single grain of rice left on the plate ! Definitely will order again and highly recommend

Overall a disappointment! Delivery was late and food was cold. Poor quality received, seemed a little rushed (naan was doughy and undercooked) not overly satisfied as a regular customer!

Really enjoyed our meal. Although my husbands was a bit hot with the green chilli peppers but apart from that we really enjoyed dinner.

This is the second time I’ve ordered from Saffron and both times the chicken has a chewy, rubbery texture and was inedible. The food is also incredibly salty. Really disappointing, especially as this is one of the more expensive Indian Restaurant/Takeaways in the area/Wellingborough Road.

awful experience, from the get go the staff seemed to be mocking us, ive never played the race card in my life but in this restaurant, if you're non white, you will just feal the dirty stares coming at you from all the staff, we ordered vegetarian biryani but were served chicken, only got a heartless apology for there error, will definitely not be coming back, very over priced!

It was a lovely evening out with friends . The mango chicken was so succulent and fresh . The service was jolly and down to earth , friendly and relaxed . I will definitely go again .

We returned to this great restaurant and once again we were not disappointed. The food was so tasty and the service fantastic. Rana was very attentive and made the evening even more fun. This won't be our last time I'm sure.

Food was awesome as well as their service. Went their solo. Take someone with me next time. Must try their biriyanis and chi tikka jalfrezi.

Too salty! Discussing can’t eat it ! Love the restaurant but deliveries on Sundays are a no go !
