This place is great for for a variety of sweet and savoury Indian food. A small seating area inside to enjoy food and drink on the premises is ideal for a quick bite to eat. With a good selection of curries to take away chilled or have heated to either eat on the premises or when you arrive home. Samosas, Pakoras and other fried snacks, together with a vast selection of Royal indian sweets - you're bound to be tempted. The owner is very friendly and a true salesman - you won't realise you're leaving with far more than you intended until it's too late.

A Northampton classic, always enjoy my time here. Service is always friendly and helpful. Love it when they have the cricket on the radio. The food is no-frills but delicious and very generous portions. Plenty of options available including veggie and vegan. Hope to see Butt’s on the Kettering Road for years to come!

I've been using this place for nearly twenty years, fantastic food across the whole range, friendly and professional service.

The lamb biryani is superb. Tender, fall apart chunks of lamb alongside a superb biryani, although I would recommend getting some raita or yoghurt to go with it. The chicken curry was good, moist tender chicken in a good curry base, but a little too heavy on the oil, but I would still order it again. Overall, this is not somewhere to go to get an "Indian Takeaway" to keep at home and cook yourself, what it is, is a place to get some amazing authentic Indian dishes that are made with love (and really good ingredients). For me, I'll be coming back regularly for the lamb biryani for lunch from time to time.

Food was not good. Chicken biryani was sogy, not fresh... May be it was cooked 2 day's before. Ordered masala chai, gave us tea bag chai with peeper powder because it was hot/ spicy test and smell like black pepper powder. Totally waste of money...!!!!

The best take home food to put in your freezer and to reheat at home. Traditional home recipes. This week took home the chicken biryani. Soooooo good! 😋 Ate chicken samosas while there for my lunch and a lovely cup of tea. Three small tables to sit-in and eat and have a lovely chat with Samina and Terry 😃

Adore the food here. The staff are so kind.

This wonderful little establishment stayed open during lockdown and furnished us with coffee's and snacks as we took some lengthy walks around the Racecourse. Mr Butt has an incredible sweet selection and I think we've probably tried them all now, my favourite is icecream flavour. And you really should try the wraps and curries. They are all made fresh on the premises and you can tell in the flavours are exquisite. Well worth a visit.

Fast polite service and lovely food at a great price

What a shame use to love the onion barjes from here and the vegetable samosas. But after today I will not order again. It was like mash potatoes with dice in the samosa and the onion bahji had no onions in. It easy like the stuff inside the samosa but made into a patte. The chicken curry had no flavour it was like water. Has it got a new chef under new management. Not nice such a shame

I recently purchased onion bhajees and pakhoras from Butts Savouries. They were delicious and soon eaten! It was good that they were made without gluten, using gram flour. Decent sizes and very reasonable price too. The owner was most gracious. For people who have Coeliacs disease, it’s helpful to know if gluten free products are kept separate and not in any contact with those containing gluten.

A very welcoming store with excellent customer service with not only good quality but reasonable priced too. For any Pakistani style sweets/desserts this is the only store where we go overtime.

Definitely worth a look,, just had a lamb curry with rice, chicken pakoras, a very well spiced curry and great flavours. Will be visiting them again, very nice customer service and the gentleman who served me was happy to answer questions about the food. Worth 5* so thank you for some great food.

Definitely worth the 5-stars, this place sells some amazing food and sweets. The owner is very polite and is always cheerful to speak to. If you want to graba quick lunchtime snack, I would recommend the large samosa which are very cheap and extremely tasty.

We ordered food from Butt's Savouries for a birthday party of 25 people, food was unbelievably nice, chicken briyani was so nice and lamb curry was out of this world. Samosas were fresh with a lot of filling. I would 100% recommend, top quality food with great price.

A cafe that does not disappoint. State of the art cuisine. The staff are very helpful and well presented. The mixed grill wrap is one of my favourites. Would definitely recommend.

Ordered some samosas for a birthday party and everyone LOVED them. Honestly I 100% recommend it, the sizes are decent and a lot of filling. The kebab rolls are also amazing.

Love the Gajar(carrot) Halwa, Kheer(rice pudding), Rasmalai, Rasgulla, Jalaebi, Biryani and Lamb curry. Other sweets and savouries are good too.

Butt Sweets & Curries were at Moulton Community Centre today and although myself and my husband had already eaten we decided to take 2 of the mixed grill wrap kebabs away with us. And we definitely weren't left disappointed! Just heated them up in the microwave and highly impressed. They were packed with so much filling too. Will definitely be visiting the shop.

Today I ordered chicken biriyani (total costs £7.45 including service charge of 50p)but the content is very less compared to other restaurants in Northampton. Taste is also not good, biryani packed in a small curry box and no extras like salads. I am very disappointed, everyone please make sure the quantity and quality before buying.

This is the best place to eat for dinner and lunch! The prices are very cheap aswell and bossman is the kindest person ever and he is very funny. I rate all of you man go here cuz its too good. Safe.

They have got to be some of the Best Samosa's in Town

I was a regular customer and evertime I hot my food tasted delicious. Sometimes vegetarian samosas are a bit dry but everything else is spot on. Had a horrible experience day before the Eid. Purchased a platter of sweets for £15.00 at 1pm along with some air freshners and overall was happy with my purchase. Lovely lady served me and even double checked the price if platter on a printed piece of paper sticked next to the cash register. 8 hours later I have returned to purchase another platter for myself to share with my family but when I came back around 9 the same item costed 19.95!!!! The guy serving me said he can't change the price and all I can do is speak to the owner on the phone. Oh what a disgusting manner of him. Was very patronising and insisted that I listed to him even tho he wasn't making any sense. Very rude man. Will not return ever!!!!! Shame on you for trying to make extra 5pound on regular customer. I understand it was the Eid and maybe you thought oh what the hell I shall charge more but didn't work with me?! Very greedy.

Fantastic food, lovely experience and you can tell it’s home made authentic. Terry is great too, always makes the most of us when we go in.

Asked for pindi and got besan. They assured me it's the same....it's not...jalebis were disgusting...do not bother we th these items

Good variety of Asian/Indian savoury and sweet products; clean and neat premises, good service.

I am a regular buyer of somozas and papadams from them. Occasionally I've bought other things but never found these quite as tasty and good. Worth every penny though for my regulars, especially since I can buy the somozas in bulk and freeze them 👍👍. Wonderful. I'm sure you'll find something tasteful there too! I have visited on a number of occasions when I have been in Northampton. Freshly prepared daily curries, rices, pastries and desserts which can be eaten on site in the small restaurant or taken away to enjoy in the comfort of your own home. I believe he may deliver but best to check. Beautiful food for all tastes and diets. Not to be missed!

Had a great chicken jalfrezi and samosa . Large selection of delicious sweets. And excellent customer service the lad behind the counter couldn’t have been more helpful. Very impressed would highly recommend!

Really greasy, so much so that we couldn’t eat the food. The samosas tasted stale and just flavourless. My fiancé could not eat hers and the pakoras has really thick dough that she said tasted stale. Very disappointed

Excellent and delicious savouries for every pallet. Something for everybody .staff and owner was very friendly and went out there way. They also sell hot food and some excellent coffee.

A wide assortment of chilled, home-made pastries, currys and desserts. Containers to take away, hot or cold as well as limited tables to eat in. Excellent food and helpful advice from the proud owner Mr Butt himself. Don't chance a delivery take away when you can see what you want to buy and order as much or little as you wish. A must for lovers of all food Indian.

Had a full takeaway at Tahir Butts savouries absolutely stunning food. Lamb fish excellent as the star dish but all was excellent quality will definitely be back

Selected a lamb and chicken curry for our night in, absolutely delicious, the only negative is that the sauce was a bit runny.

As a kid this was my favourite place to go to! 5 stars for sure.

I brought some sweets here a few days ago. I said please ensure these are fresh as I have had a few bad experience with this place. Afterbeing reassured had hard as rock sweets. They are at lease 2 weeks old and tasted disgusting! I am so angry it was for a function and I was so embarassed... I will not be visiting again.

I always come here to eat. My favourite is the chicken wrap - soo delicious and cheap also!

We dropped in here knowing we could grab very reasonably priced eats that are tasty, authentic and fresh. They have two small tables where you can eat in. This place offers savoury dishes and an incredible range of sweets. We opted for the vegetable curry which was spicy hot and a lamb curry which was also spicy. The samosas here are stunning but again they have a slight kick. The service is always friendly and whilst this is no fine dining it's fresh and tasty. If you like only mild food then they do not really do mild, it's all pretty spicy. Perfect for a lunchtime, takeaway or for wanting to sit and eat when you're time limited.

I been trying butt savouries for over 2 years now and I had no problem with the food or place that is up until now, I went in on Monday the 15th of January 2018 and I thought I will order a chicken biryani to eat so I got my chicken Biryani and started eating it and I found a grey hair in it and it was disgusting I went and complained and showed it to them and the lady workers in there said that is off a coat I said I'm wearing plain denim coat so it's not mine and they acknowledged that, I wasn't offered a sorry or a refund anyway I left and said I will never come back which one of the ladies that work in there replied it doesn't matter, I think if they were saying it was a coat hair it was off one of their coats and it was a dog hair off their coat, since I had a bit of that chicken biryani I have been ill with constipation and vomit, please please guys avoid this horrible disgusting food place, what a disgusting let down for a place that I used to like

Family run business making first class home cooked food.

Tried here for the first time , the place was clean. We ordered food but it wasn’t very nice and the roti we ordered was not thoroughly cooked . We had originally gone here to try the samosas and but some traditional sweets but the samosas were not very nice and the sweets looked terrible and colourless so decided not to buy any 😔

Many folk don't seem to realise you can sit at one of the 3/4 tables and have your lunch here! I had the tasty chicken jalfrezi, good home made curry. Very welcoming place and good prices. Take away your dinner and maybe a nice dessert too!?

I always come back here for two important things: warm hearted service from staff who are just lovely and the food of course! Mr Butt always has a nice word to say, as do the other staff. The fact that this place is always busy speaks for itself. Great service, food and mitai, what more could you want?

Very friendly and delicious, often busy which is a good sign. We usually get the samosas and the mixed grill wraps which are brilliant. We eat far too much of this because it is so tasty!

Yo a este gran topamos lugar, buscando una comida, la ventana parecía atractiva y una variedad de dulces lo casero y dulces, curry indio. Usted puede tener un asiento en una de las 3 mesas, pero me dieron una envoltura para llevar mezclado grill. Suave y fresca casera pan plano, un montón de llenado y una patata tarta. Delicioso y muy bien de precio. Había una gran variedad de curry casero para llevar (o en). Muy simpático dueño y establecimiento muy limpio. Recomiendo encarecidamente el coche fuera del centro de la ciudad de Northampton para este aperitivo salado/conjunta India!

The food here is fab! A good spicey offering. From lamb samosas to chicken curry or a lamb kebab roll or pakoras. The sweet selection is extensive and very morish. Always a great welcome. Looking forward to the next visit!

Having moved away to Northumberland we crave for some wholesome spicy food. Every visit back to Northampton would not be complete without calling into Butt Savouries. He comido aquí por muchos años, como muchos de mis amigos y familia. Cualquier repuesto de dinero poco tengo, no siempre van a conseguir uno de los kebabs rolls. Sólo recientemente, hemos explorado el curry, samosas, pakoras y otros productos han servido y nunca me ha decepcionado. Auténtica comida muy sabrosa, servida con excelente servicio, siempre amable y acogedor. Servicio muy higiénicas y rápido.

Este lugar es un fantástico. La comida es mucho mejor que algunos restaurantes indios que cobran una fortuna. Parece un modesto sandwich shop desde fuera (y no vender cosas corporales y precioso también), pero por dentro hay mucho más! Probé el pollo biryani, chili y curry samosas vegetales paneer. Magnífico. Y una increíble relación calidad-precio. La gente de Northampton: tienes suerte de tener este lugar en su ciudad. Saborear! (Lo siento por el juego).

Tried this for the first time today and I can't wait to go back! The samosas and vegetable pakora were amazing. I went back to get my husband a take out because it was that good! The owners were some of the nicest people I've had the pleasure of meeting and could not have been more accommodating. They made us all feel like welcome friends.

This place is amazing! Visited numerous times. .. well we there pretty much every week. Lovely currys and samosas. And the service? You just have to visit to experience that.

Got to hear about this gem from a friend - what a great business and such a friendly welcome from the owner, who couldn't be more polite and accommodating. Bought some food for New Year's Eve and the samosas were to die for, highly recommended. Will be going back to try out a curry. All food is prepared on the premises.

We used to live in Northampton and would regularly visit for the excellent food and friendly welcome. It truly is a place where everyone is welcomed and treated like family. Now we are living in France but still have family in the town so come over occasionally. A trip back would not be complete without paying at least 1 visit to delight in the flavours that all the food has. If you happen to be near do not pass up the opportunity to be amazed by their food and welcome. I am a savoury man myself but the array of sweets they offer look dazzling and my wife will attest to how good they are. So do yourself a favour and take that little detour to an experience you will want to repeat again and again.
